US vs UK Taco Bell | Foreign Exchange | Food Wars
Can I just say, that you both make this series, such a good duo and love this so much ❤
Thanks for watching!
Yeah.
@@InsiderFoodbasically displeased at Joe’s attitude towards vegan or vegetarian food,if hot can’t control his theory towards them, just stick Nico and Irene for the US !

Lmao I love how neat Harry’s presentation is, while Joe is just descending into the madness of unwrapped items 😂
Always 😂😂
Its not funny it's just kind of sad and kind of off
Joe trying to get out of a contract or something?! 😂
😂😂😂 he’s forcing a transfer
Joe be looking like he hates doing this stuff recently haha
Too many food does that to you lol
man i love tacos but if you flew me 8 hours and shoved 15 shitty taco bell meals in front of jet lagged me to taste test, i'd be annoyed too. Insider, if you want quality content, give the guy a chance to thrive.
@@supersixmikeohimodBut as an actual job, it’s not exactly difficult.
well, you know, it's Taco Bell.... waddya want? it's dog food
"Mexican pizza, the way to offend multiple cuisines at once" 😂
Then admits it's good 😂
@@80sGamerLadyfor fast food mexican-themed pizza it's decent :-) I miss their Taco Salads
The thing is... Mexican pizza is actually something you could find at a food truck in Mexico lol.
Harry is so sweet, but Joe just kinda phones in his set.
Taco Bell is just the same 7 ingredients rearranged in different ways 😅
That's the joke my family used to make about Olive Garden, haha.
I mean all food is x ingredients arranged in different ways lol. How different is a sausage pizza vs a pepperoni pizza? Hell, pepperoni is just sliced sausage lol. But that little change in a few seasonings and the shape make it taste different. :)
bro why is joe not trying anything 😭😭 like I get it gets tiring but bros job is to try the food and they flew him out for him to ignore a lot of it, I don't want to be too unkind but it seems odd, it might be jet lag so let the man rest please
Agreed , he was really boring to watch, I get he might be Jet Lagged but at least make an effort to
Maybe he's having stomach problems.
Tbf he said at the end he was dreading doing this one as he hates uk Mexican. Which makes sense, since Mexican food really isn't a thing here outside of this. And why would it be? We have no cultural links to Mexico and don't share a border with them. We don't pretend to do great Mexican.
Outside of our own cuisine we have Indian food and Chinese as fairly big foreign foods.
Joe has definitely been a lot less enthused latley. I don't want to be too unkind with my words as you never know what's going on behind the scenes. However Harry and Joe used to have really good chemistry together and the first couple food tours seasons were really good. Something definitely does feel off with some of the new food wars/tours episodes.
Have any of you tried uk taco bell?? Because i did and i would be like him. Food is trash
Joe's been doing this for a while, but honestly it's an awesome job who doesn't want to try different kinds of food from different countries. I would love to try UK Taco Bell. I love Harry ❤
Before we criticise Joe, remember he is severely jet lagged here and English Taco Bell isn’t exactly appetising
Surely he jests!
Neither is the US one. They are both absolutely terrible.
well done my friends, there is always some new words to learn from you. I try to use every words I heard in your videos in my videos! thank you a lot and keep going like this!
It's amazing how the american palate needs a pile of salt to taste *anything*, even fast food doesnt have enough salt and each item is over 100% of your daily recommended
The logistics of these videos have to be a nightmare, but we appreciate the dedication!
I think the reason Mexican takeaway food isn't that popular in the UK because the more basic stuff you tend to get from takeaways like burritos, tacos and fajitas are so quick, easy and cheap to make at home using pre-made tortillas and spice mixes. It's also a more fun meal when you just lay out the ingredients and make them yourself at the table, rather than them coming pre-made. In my experience, there are plenty of sit-in restaurants if you want really good Mexican or Tex-Mex food, It's just the takeaways that are lacking.
When Harry tried the baja blast I thought his mind was going to reset to factory default settings hahaha. Love how Joe mentioned the word battery when describing it as I've heard people say it's like drinking battery acid lol.
Grilled Cheese Burrito or the Chipotle Ranch Burrito are my two absolute favorites plus pair those with that Brisk Dragon Paradise Sparkling Tea and it's good.
Heyyyy! I am so excited to see this!
Jesus loves you ❤️ Please repent and turn to him and receive Salvation before it's too late. The end times written about in the Bible are already happening in the world. Jesus is the son of God and he died for our sins on the cross and God raised him from the dead on the third day. Jesus is waiting for you with open arms but time is running out. Please repent and turn to him before it is too late. Accept Jesus into your heart and invite him to be Lord and saviour of your life and confess and believe that Jesus is Lord, that he died for your sins on the cross and that God raised him from the dead. Confess that you are a sinner in need of God's Grace and ask God to forgive you for all your sins through Jesus.
Jesus loves you. Nothing can compare to how he loves you. When he hung on that cross, he thought of you. As they tore open his back, he thought of your prayer time with him. As the thorns dug into his head, he thought of you spending time in the word of God. As the spears went into his side, he imagined embracing you in heaven. His heart longs to be with you.
Harry is awesome. Love following his stuff. Joe -- dude love ya - but perk up. You feeling okay?
What's Joe's problem this episode? Guy doesn't seem like he wants to be there?
???
It might have been recorded after he arrived in the u.k. and the other reason may be because of the u.s. use of chemicals, it tastes bland.
@@Foxy33164 the US having lax food regulations is a myth. We have different labeling requirements so it makes it look like it. The reality is that the difference is minimal at best.
@@michaelminster9239incorrect, the eu has banned chemicals, usa not so much

3:15 “give me a liter of cola” 🥤😂
7 Layer Burrito has been discontinued for a while in the US. We had the Fiesta Veggie Burrito which was very similar and excellent but unfortunately that was discontinued recently when they changed the value menu.
Doritos Locos Tacos Supreme is one of my favourite Taco Bell menu items.
I'm excited for more insider food food wars foreign exchange
US uses Mexican crema (similar to salty creme fraiche in taste and more runny) and UK uses sour cream
I would be all over a steak jalapeno grilled cheese quesadilla! that sounds phenomenal!
Yea that’s like a medium iced coffee Harry 😂
Your Grandma's change purse!🤣😂🤣😂
That Grilled Cheese Burrito is the best thing on the menu and am glad Harry likes The Mexican pizza unlike someone I won't name.
We do have the cheesy Gordita crunch and the chalupa supreme in the uk
The burrito supreme has red sauce it like a chili base.
Doritos Locos Taco Supreme is flat out delicious.
Mexican Pizza at Taco Bell used to also have sliced black olives & chives on it & I remember, like in the 90's, it being a delicious delicacy. I loved it - I enjoyed it. Today, it might be less good because of those things missing.
I worked at Taco Bell in ~2000-2002, and at that time they were made almost the same way they are now. They did have green onions (not chives) but Taco Bell removed green onions from their entire menu when they were seemingly getting recalled every other week for awhile and they've never brought them back. They were also made with a pair of tostada shells. Not all stores had fryers, mine didn't at first. We didn't get one until a bit after Chalupas were added.
@@MTGeomancer Oh ok, I didn't remember exactly when they last had green onions, & that it used tostada shells, & I get confused about green onions & chives - I think scallions is another one of those kind of onions. I do remember the green onions being recalled because of ecoli. I appreciate you sharing info with me.
18:48 Harry you actually got the grilled cheese burrito when you originally said you didn't get it
At this point of tasting taco's comparison of which one is better has gone out the window! I'm just hungry now! Forget the review! 😅
Am I the only one that loves Harry's taco shirt? So fitting 😏
It’s two fried tortillas and they actually fry them sometimes fresh. I used to work there the horrors I could tell y’all
No sauces??? Of course your Taco Bell is going be kinda blah w/o sauces! And yes, any hard shell items need to be eaten within about 10 mins. of being made. And Baja Blast is great!
why's the American guy just miserable throughout the whole video? maybe its time to bring someone more enthusiastic in?
I think they may have recorded during during a long shooting session of other thing.
he always did in every episode...blah blahh with the foods
Are you really from UK? When people get tired then fire them? That's more of an American mindset, but wow that is a trend that will really blow up in your own face if you manage to get it to catch on. Az99682, no employment for you
Editor forgot the music volume lol
While I will never eat another Taco Bell Mexican Pizza in my life, I can say that eating my last one legitimately saved my life. Punctured my esophagus, which led to the discovery of such a bad chest infection (was not aware of), that I spent 10 days in the hospital with chest tubes. 3 of which I was on life support.
So thank you Taco Bell Mexican Pizza!
Does anyone remember the Fresco line Taco Bell did years and years ago? I miss that.
As a brit who's visited USA twice I WISH they brought the Chalupa's over here, I love them so much!!!
That's weird, my nearest Taco Bell in the UK has had chalupas for ages. Maybe it's down to individual franchises?
If you're a brit then why do you describe yourself as a brit? Most brits hate being called brits. That's the whole fun in calling brits brits
I'd love them to do Domino's next, especially the UK's current limited edition lasagna and cardboard pizzas and the unforgettable breakfast pizza.
I'm surprised you guys didn't try the new menu items though this must have been filmed a while back.
I didn't see a Taco Bell when I visited London, but I did try one at South Korea's Incheon airport and it was very different and very weird haha.
I'm so glad you wanted to tacobout it. We need more Taco Bells in the UK. There are none anywhere near me 😢
In Mexico today is 31 march
National taco day
I send u a hug for everyone enjoy taco life 🫶🏽
Here I’m making healthy fish soup at home and then this video drops.
We used to have naked chicken tacos on the menu in Canada. They’re pretty good.
They also had them in the US! I remember eating them when I lived there in 2016/17
The naked taco is my favourite menu item in the uk
Tee hee we still have the 7-layer burrito in Canada. Best thing on their menu!
My favorite is a crispy flour taco. Sadly, it's not available at Taco Bell. It's similar to the taco salad shell, but in taco form.
You mean chalupa
@@ferniecat it's like a regular taco, but with a crispy flour shell....like what holds a taco salad. A chalupa is thicker.
Can't wait to get a volcano burrito in a few weeks.
I became unable to eat dairy and sooooooo much of Taco Bell hades cheese &/or soured creme in it. So I hadn’t been for years. Seeing this it makes me sooooo glad I haven’t been & I really don’t want to. The only thing I’d want if I had to go would be the churros.
Joe was terrible this episode.
Why was that?
That second thing looked like a dirty diaper 😂😂😂
More Harry and Joe Please
Joe and Harry need to do a Food Tours season through the Southern US states, so that Harry can get some proper sweet tea and biscuits. 😂
I don't think i could eat a while case o'dilla maybe just one or two 😂 (kidding i love taco bell quesadillas, easily second best thing on the menu after volcano burrito)
Pretty sure the layer he forgot in the 7 layer burrito was cheese lol 😂🤦♂️
Is there not a Meximelt anymore? That was the best thing
Been to taco bell in the uk a few times. While ok i wont go back. There is hardly any meat in the taco so im not paying for it. Their chirros and sauce were pretty good
My favorite thing in college in the mid 2000s was the Grilled Stuft Burrito combo and the burrito was monstrous and I'd dip it in the nacho cheese dip for the chips you'd get. Feels like the size of their offerings has gone down.
I will say this about Taco Bell, they have some pretty good sauces. I remember the outcry when they started limiting the amount of free sauces you could get and then charging like 40c for more. Now, even if you go through a drive-thru the server just stuffs their hands in the sauce packet bowl and throws it in the bag lol.
Harry thinking that was a large iced coffee lol. Imagine him seeing a Dutch Bros one.
Yes! I was in high school in the mid 2000s and I remember the ground beef grilled stuffed burrito was pretty big, and it was only $2.25. Scraped together a lot of loose change in order to acquire one back then, haha
@@Naltddesha You know you had it good when you could actually put out paper money lol
@@Naltddesha $2.25 and I bet that meal lasted a whole day!
@@Naltddesha It's funny that I said 2000s and you instantly knew what I meant :P
Also Taco Bell had a line of super cheap items and they were no slouch for 99c.
Mmm that’s making me hungry
hey just fyi since Taco Bell is a Mexican fast food (albeit American chain) the menu items are derived from Mexican/Latin dishes. ie that Chalupa is inspired by a legit mexican food rather than just being american.
Be interesting to compare prices? I remember years ago in US Taco Bell seemed a bargain. In NZ it seems like a luxury priced food!
Oh man, hearing the lack of crunch on all of the things that are supposed to be crunchy... it really changes the experience a lot. I hope you got to experience the good items fresh at some point, Harry!
You probably can’t call them “fresh” when they turn to mush after a few minutes in a bag
@@conormurphy4328 They don't though. 10, 15 minutes later they should still be very crunchy. But they're basically like potato chips. If you leave them steaming in a bag with wet meat and lettuce eventually things are going to get soggy
thats something that always upsets me about these videos the setup and recording process seems to take so long that all the food is practically just ruined when they get to it
Hey Harry fun fact, Doritos started off as deep fried tortillas.
Yeah they were invented in Disneyland
@@Orlak3lly yup, I just wasn't sure if it was Land or World.
"Somewhere in Africa."
"Yeah, somewhere, in the Congo." 😄
I feel like introducing them both to traditional Mexican food would be fun.
I respectfully disagree with Joe on the Beefy Nacho Cravings Burrito, it is really good imo.
The chicken taco shell is amazing too.
@@GamerBully never had it.
Are we going to get a food tours London where they go for Mexican food?
This definitely predates the cantina chicken menu
I think so too hahaha LOL
Harry, we have soft shell taco’s here in the uk and we know them as soft shell tacos 😅😂
We do, but he was right in what he was saying that they're not as popular, and generally when a brit says taco it's assumed they mean the hard shell kind.
@@user-ww1ez3kj6i Not that I doubt you've traveled across the UK surveying taco bell stores, but it's not a good measure as taco bell is a relatively small takeaway in the UK and soft shell is one of the more unique things they do, since hard shell tacos are in general more popular in the UK.
@@user-ww1ez3kj6i Lol, had me in the first half not gonna lie.
@@user-ww1ez3kj6i Kinda overdoing the joke buddy. Playing the fool was funny the first time when i thought you where serious, but it's just coming across a bit try hard now.
@@user-ww1ez3kj6i Just your act of being some kind of taco savant. It was humorous at first, but became too obvious.
You knew KFC had something to do with the Tango and Pepsi combo in the UK
In the UK, Pepsi is made by Britvic under licence
I miss the grilled stuffed burrito 😞🌯
Something is off with this episode. The entire thing is flat. Is it the sound mixing, background music? Editing? Just feels really low effort from all including Joe who is usually energy personified. Seems like it’s been rushed out unfinished tbh.
You got Chipotle in several London locations which is way better and also Chipotle.
If you want fast food churros you need to go to Taco John's
Joe needs an attitude adjustment
I agree, he's not at all the right person to do this video with the much more open minded Harry
@@DougKaplanNico should replace Joe.
He's eating UK Taco Bell, what do you expect?😂
@@Blitzkrieg1976 I expect him to talk s&@t!
@@Blitzkrieg1976 Harry doesn't seem to mind, many of us wouldn't either but if you're going to do a video like this you need an open mind. Joe wouldn't even try most of it.
7 layer burrito recipe can, however, be manually recreated by customizing an existing menu item, the "Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito". The following steps can be applied to order a burrito with the same ingredients as the original seven-layer burrito:
select "Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito" to customize
select "Fresco" style (removes Jalapeño and Cheese sauces, keeping "Beans" and "Seasoned Rice")
add back "3 Cheese Blend", "Lettuce", "Tomatoes", "Guacamole", and "Reduced Fat Sour Cream"
Sounds expensive for what you're getting.
@@jessz900 7 layers were always expensive
I just ran it through my local taco bell menu. $5.04, which is probably about right considering inflation. They were ~$4.30 a couple of years ago at the same spot.
@@9ramthebuffs9 damn, I guess so. I don't remember them being over $4.00. I miss them but I'm still too cheap to pay that much for any item from 🌮 🔔
@@9ramthebuffs9 I followed the above instructions and I got $3.59. Without the guacamole it's $2.19.
omg UK has the naked chicken? I'm so sad that the naked chicken chalupa isn't available in Canada :'(
Joe definitely needed more coffee before recording this...
I liked this because of Harry's commentary. Joe kinda sucks in this review. Upvote for Harry.
Harry might be enthusiastic, but he talks a load of rubbish. He just does it in a posh la de da way that makes him look smart, which makes it super annoying when he teaches people everything all wrong
Maaan I miss the 7 layer burrito
Its so nice taco bell is bringing traditional authentic mexican cuisine to the far corners of the world
The plant based 'meat' didn't last long on the menu in the UK and is now gone, at least at my local one. Meanwhile we've had chalupas for ages, but perhaps it's not universal.
I think US usually comes out looking better overall because Harry is more generous in his feedback and Joe is more critical.
Still on the one near me.
3:00 Pepsi beverages? Here in Romania Taco Bell has Coca Cola.
RIP 7 Layer Burrito and Mucho Grande Nachos
They don’t have the classic Taco Bell bean burrito in the UK? Holy shit… I miss the enchirito, and the steak taquito Taco Bell had! Also just fyi! If you like mcchickens from McDonald’s, ask for American cheese slice to be added on the next time you order one! It is amazing! My current favorite Taco Bell item is done at the kiosk. It’s a cheese quesadilla, but remove the spicy sauce. Add ground beef, and nacho cheese. It is amazing
Too bad none of the Cantina Chicken Menu items were in this video. 😔
I may have to try Taco Bell for the first time
Are you not in the US?
Fire sauce. Don’t forget it haha
Harry skipped the grilled cheese burrito which is easily the best item on the menu
Taco Bell is is missing a trick by not including a breakfast menu in the uk
It’s most likely because Taco Bell in the UK has only just started to become more widespread in the past few years, even still in a lot of places you can only find Taco Bell in city centres. I guess when it’s accessible for everyone like other chains are we’ll get a breakfast menu.
@@Arcvh To be honest, breakfast is where Taco Bell thrives; their lunch options are so unfortunate that doing breakfast would be a boon to business. It's a lot harder to mess up breakfast burritos and fried potatoes.
The ones around here quit breakfast after the pandemic because they couldn't get workers to come in that early.
Do you imagine a full English burrito or something? Tell you what though, apple tango and peach ice tea on tap is wonderful
i know very little about Mexican cuisine but i’m guessing Taco Bell is like asking a Californian to make a Shepard’s Pie
Honestly, it's all about the mild sauce. That's the glorious taste of taco bell right there
7:03 JOE YOU NOT ALLOW TO SAY THAT
THIS IS FOOD NOT THAT WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

14:38 that is Harry Bro?

No one eats Taco Bell like this lol. Each item is just a vessel for their hot sauces.
