the U.K. KFC vegan burger truly is surprisingly edible, we tried it during the panny when they were literally out of actual chicken and it came in clutch, but you’re dead wrong about the hashy on the stacker, it’s brill
I think the absolute banger is banger as in 'sausage' rather than banger as in 'excellent' considering the variety of sausages that looked to be on there.
Also, when KFC came out with "HotWings" in the 80's, they had 4 flavor intensities: mild, medium, hot, and "Nuclear" ( the last one may have been an Arizona exclusive because I've never found it anywhere else). With the Nuclear option, you could no longer taste the chicken.
You should compare UK to Canada McDonald's... Americans say our mcdonalds is better... I'm sure almost the same, but ours is a bit less greasy, we use Canadian beef and potatoes (we have some of the best potatoes in the world) I've also never seen such a sad "deluxe" sandwich... ours is WAYYY better than that
I think it's probably more that there's been public health pushes to reduce salt. Spices, herbs, MSG and other flavour enhancers that increase umami are not restricted, and I don't think anyone is missing the flavour of artificial colouring.
@@orientalmoonsLiving in both places it's a little bit of everything. The UK kinda just has a softer pallette in general. It's not that their food is "bland" more that their pallette is just softer than the US. In the US food is very punchy with flavor. The UK uses stuff like msg too.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the fact KFC UK does not sell mashed potatoes & gravy. The first time I went to London, I just landed and KFC was the first place I saw. I ordered some chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy, but the cashier told me they don't sell it because they sell mash & gravy everywhere at chip shops etc.

There are regional specials for places across North America, since it's so huge. For example, on the East coast of Canada, you can get lobster sandwiches and other lobster products year-round. "Canadian bacon" is basically peameal bacon. It's a pork loin, not belly like most bacon so it's a lot leaner.
I agree that biscuits by themselves are too dry, but that's why we usually add sauces or gravy! The KFC biscuit is supposed to be eaten with butter & honey, or simply dunked into the mashed potatoes & gravy. Also, the best breakfast biscuit sandwich from McD's is the sausage egg and cheese. The grease helps make it less dry. Also, if you add the breakfast salsa on it, or simply drizzle a bit of syrup inside it, that helps a lot as well! I hope you'll try American biscuits again one day and add some sauce, gravy, butter, jam or honey (depending on what you're eating with it) on it next time!
Im very surprised UK burgerking seems much better than the US... and also i agree tuna and sweetcorn doesn't belong on pizza....pineapple does though 😮😂😂
I hate to shatter the illusion but Joe came to the UK and Harry went to the US, just not at the same time as they shot different series in the UK (with Joe visiting) and then US (with Harry visiting)...
Exactly! KFC biscuit should be eaten with butter and honey, or just dunked into the mashed potatoes and gravy. Other times we like them smothered in breakfast sausage gravy! And he could've had a much better experience if he'd gotten the sausage egg and cheese biscuit from McD's and put some of the salsa on it, or just drizzled a bit of syrup in it. He missed out! Can't believe no one told him he should add some kind of sauce to give it moisture.
