Sean! I AM F….! LOVE so much this stunning colors and details of the beautiful lake, birds, the morning and the unique way you present to us. I can’t way for the video! Thanks bro.
Thanks for the comment. I've seen a couple of these birds in the last few weeks at different water sources. I just wish they would get closer to me. :)
Yeah, I was shooting RAW on the R6. And I selected the best of the jpegs from the 90D. I had to trash about half of them because not enough info for me to play with in post. Thanks for the comment. 🙂
@@SeanMiller318 I’ve been wanting the R7 ever since it came out because of it’s billed as a wildlife/birding/outdoors camera and upgrade/replacement to the 90D but I’ve been thinking lately I should do the R6 instead because of the ability to shoot a crazy high ISO and not worry about the noise. Do you know if high ISOs are an issue with the R7?
@@dancarmony5107 I can't say. I know they are better with the R7 than with the 90D. And I don't know if I'd say you can shoot crazy high with the R6, I think you just have more dynamic range, less megapixels, and log profiles. So, that makes shooting in higher ISOs easier to correct and grade. I think the higher megapixels in the R7 would probably make it probably not as good as the R6 in low light, but better than the 90D. I really thought hard about the R7 too, but I like to make short films on occasion and I wanted to be able to film in lower light conditions.
I think it was your video prior to this one you were showing ISO range with your bird pictures on the R6 and you are definitely up very high on the ISO scale. If I go above 2000 on my 90D the images are getting so noisy it becomes a distraction for me. Another bird photographer I follow on the YT uses the R6 and he uses that high ISO as well. I’m definitely going to consider purchasing one next summer. I also want the RF lenses so gonna have to figure how to pay for all that 😂
@@dancarmony5107 You can get away with ISOs higher on the R6 than on the 90D. I don't have any RF lenses myself, everything is EF and EF-S with adapters. The EF glass works really well on the R6. You will notice that you 600mm isn't 900mm anymore once you go to full frame. But the animal tracking AF is pretty cool. And being able to access the menu and playback in the EVF is good too.

I assume you were shooting RAW files on the R6. Quite frankly I didn't see hardly any difference between the RAW vs JPEG,

Is there a reason you choose the R6 over the R7?
The main reason was low light video. But the R7 looks like a great camera, and I thought about it too.
