I enjoyed the video. The door string thing is scary for me since my cat likes to chew any string, shoelace. I could tell Jellybean, the gray and white cow cat, was toy oriented. Jellybean was eyeing Jackson when he was opening the first box.❤❤❤
I have the interactive ball toy and can confirm it moves very well on carpet, behind furniture, out from behind furniture, you name it. I rarely find it stuck somewhere where I have to rescue it.

I know Jackson says this all the time but the main thing your cat wants to play with is YOU! A shoelace, a piece of crumpled paper, a rubber ball from the dollar store - all of these will entertain your cat for hours as long as YOU engage with them. I know not everyone has a ton of time, but remember that while cats can survive without you, they only THRIVE with you. ❤
Yeah so true! I actually play with mine directly! He loves me to chase him and vice versa, we run around the house and chasw eachother till he tires out. I play with my hands too but im always careful to not overstimulate him and lead to potential scratches. But he loves to nibble my fingers during playfight and i can confidentally leave my fingers between his teeth and he'll never clamp hard! He usually lays down while play or pet him thats when he gives me love bites
@ oh yeah my guy loves to play pouncey hide and seek and peekaboo. He runs up or down the stairs and then hides around the corner and he wants me to come down/up and make a big deal of looking for him, then jumps out and pounces me. He also likes to smack the back of our legs gently when we walk up the stairs.

Hi @JacksonGalaxy. I just wanted to say thank you. My partner who never had a pet in his 40-odd years of life here, never liked cats is now a proud cat dad of 3 cats - one rescued from a very traumatic past. I got the Cat Dancer for my new kitten after the last video. He absolutely loves it. However, I kept seeing blood marks on my tile after playing with him. I ordered 3 of the toys and after feeling every bit of the wand, I found areas between the cardboard pieces that were quite rough. These were catching in his paws and cutting him! 2 of the 3 had these twisted metal pieces that weren't safe. I returned all three and will stick to the feather wand.
TalkMo’s favorite toy was a mouse I made him from scrap fleece stuffed with catnip. Other toys came and went but Mr Mouse was his favorite throughout his 20 year life. RIP Talkmo ❤
we got that chirpy bird one when we first got my younger cat. he had a habit of picking it up, carrying it up onto chairs and such, and dropping it. it did not last 2 weeks before it just stopped doing anything, but boy did he love those 2 weeks
We got the Interactive Cat Ball last week. I tied some feathers to the tail and it's even more fun. It works fine on carpet. We play all the modes (fast, slow, interactive) my cats prefer interactive, where it moves a little slower but reacts to their touching it.
Never apologize for your amusing bouts of grumpiness during these reviews. They are quite endearing, and such a very Taurean trait. Personally, I live for the savagery. 😂😂😂
We actually have the Potaroma flapping bird toy and two of our three cats LOVE it and are absolutely obsessed with it. The third likes it right up until it starts moving, then she wants nothing to do with it, lmao.
We just adopted two kitties yesterday and I’m watching many of your wonderful videos hanging out with them, and our little girl cat Mia, was standing on the chair arm, watching you and the toys so carefully! She then ran up to me and snuggled and purred for the first time. She clearly appreciates that I am learning from you. We are so grateful and happy to have these babies come into our lives.
Jackson, the first toy you review is known as the P36 (from the Kitten Academy community). They also make one called P16 which DOES Have fur and a tail and they can be optionally added or removed. It has a "Kitten" mode which is slower, a "quiet" mode which is less chirpy, and a "paw activated" Mode which starts it up again if it is bapped after stopping. Most of these toys are kitten approved but it's really impressive to get an older cat going after it. They work fine on carpet and even over small bumps and cords in the floor!
The furry thing is the P16, so i guess it comes with that option and the crinkly bag as an upgrade? Mine had no crinkly bag but the same ring of fur and some tails you could put on other tails if you want.
@@CapricornDayz I got it yesterday, charged it up, and tried it. Tio was out on the porch, so I didn't cat test it (it's a Christmas present), but it looks good so far. I got the flopping fish a few years ago, and it was a huge flop. I bought an articulated lizard on a string (you pull it) from Etsy last year, and he loves it, but it's on fishing line that keeps getting tangled. I redid it with a thin cord, so we'll see how that works.
Wow! Am i a weirdo? I wish there was a place like that around where I live! I'd be there playing with the cats a couple times a week and loving it! How awesome!
My cats favorite toy is a long cord that was on a Christmas gift years ago! The end is frayed and I run around the house with it, with them chasing after it. They all love it...I give it 5 stars!!
The thing I have learned about product naming on the internet is that they feel like they were written by an AI to include every possible synonym for every word to maximize the chances of them turning up in a search for anything remotely related. Which means that what you get when you read them aloud is a hilarious ESL word salad.
Jackson, I love cats!(worked in a veterinary hospital for 10 years) You have given me the kick in the pants to donate what a cat cafe or humane society needs! Asking them first!
All the kittens at the shelter where i volunteer LOVE spring toys. My cat at home prefers squishy foam balls and tiny plastic traffic cones made for remote control cars.
my cats all LOVE the toy in the sack. you can also take it out of the sack, which is where the furry part becomes more useful. and there’s different speed settings. the problem is, the plastic that holds the ball and allows it to roll breaks pretty easily, and then it won’t do anything but make noise. i’ve had to order a new one twice since getting it for my baby’s birthday in april. but it’s cheap and she loves it so i say it’s worth it
I have the interactive ball toy and my cats love it!! I didn't know what to expect going in-whether they'd love it, hate it, be afraid of it-but they were hooked immediately! I posted a video not too long ago of one of my kitties playing with it (and it works great on carpet). I'm kind of amazed how long this thing can hold their attention. It's a great little toy.
My cat isn’t so happy with toys that move on their own (she likes stick toys tho) she runs away from some bc she thinks they’re attacking her (a ball rolled towards her and she got scared) But I bought some mice that rattle and she absolutely loves those (probably pearls or something in a plastic box but it’s formed as a mouse with like fur and a tail and everything and she absolutely loves those “murderes” them all the time she leaves them in my bed as an offering haha
My cat mostly plays with small thin furry creatures i believe are called "Skinnies" . She carries around and brings to me with certain meow. Then we play. Throw and fetch. Hide and fetch. Underrated simple and much loved toy. ❤
I rescued a litter (kept one!) of bottle babies from the middle of the road and it's been such a rewarding experience. Rescuing someone who really needs your help is such an amazing thing and I'm so glad you're so outspoken about rescuing and fostering cats! Little Yoda is now 4 months old, fully vaccinated, and ready to get neutered! His siblings are also doing well integrating into their new home. I would love to be more involved in cat rescue when my baby grows up a little more, so I can help even more little Yodas and bring that joy to other families.
I bought the interactive cat ball for my cat last week and he LOVES it! It's comical to watch him chase it back and forth and when he's done he grabs the red tail in his mouth and runs across the room with it for the win.
I got one of those door frame bungee cord toys for my kitty. He got his paw wrapped around the cord! Thank goodness I was right around the corner, and it wasn't his neck, but these kinds of toys definitely needed supervision.
For the ball in a pouch you should have read the instructions, it has multiple settings to adjust speed and amount of movement. The furry bit is so you can use it without the sack. Our 2 cats love it
I am a cat owner, and I will say that cat toys should not be that complicated, but anyone who has not read instructions for any item is not qualified to do a review on it--celebrity or not...
That very first toy is the one I've been checking out. Thank you so much for showing the viewers about these toys! My girls will LOVE that ball rolling around with the string!❤
I have this (the rubberized ball toy) toy for my cat (she loves it!). What you missed is there are different modes. One slow, one fast, and one where it goes to sleep and my cat will tap it or grab its tail to wake it up for more play. It is fantastic!
I found an amazing rug at a second hand shop yesterday! It's a woven style rug (her favorite playfields) that's super light and folds easily, so my cat can move it around and crease it as much as she wants. Makes the playfield ever changing. Super fun to hide toys under the folds and super fun to bunny kick and bite the rug. It's also black so all colored toys are easy for her to see :)
Can't stop laughing all the way through this review. I especially like the recap when you said there were toys that didn't have any business being made.😂😂🤣
Thanks so much!! My Tuxie Sukanya Su gets bored rather easily... and it usually involves a cookie to get her interest.;) But the sandpiper does look interesting. Appreciate all you do for us and our feline kids!!
Personally, I invent my kittens toys whether it is a long piece of yarn tied to a long wand that I throw around and over a cluster of furry pillows and up room dividers that she can crawl - the yarn has knots every few inches so she can bite down on, pick up and walk away with, while I cheer "Good Girl!!" or a box with holes that I cover my stick under a blanket and move the yarn that is connected to the end of the stick through various openings in the box so she needs to use her hearing and then pounce on the yarn and pull it out and the yarn is connected to a stuffed spider toy that she can grab and kick and chew.
One of my favorite Christmas gifts I got for my cats was a stocking full of those $1 toys, like mice, crumple balls of shiny paper, and jingle balls. It was awesome! I only took out one or two at a time. Then when they were inevitably destroyed by the dogs, out would come another one! The cats started to recognize it as the thing all the good stuff came from and would get so excited as I went to pull out a new toy.
If I wasn't hundreds of miles away, I'd love to adopt that adorable gray and white kitty. He stole my heart:) I hope he finds a loving home. He's super smart.
I love the interactive toys because I have three cats and one doesn't like to play with me because if she starts playing with me, her bigger siblings come over and unintentionally muscle her out so she doesn't get much play time with the toys, except when she plays fetch, she loves that so much
Love visiting our local cat cafe. Hard to believe they’ve helped find homes for almost 1300 kitties since they opened 8 years ago. Great to see these reviews.
I'm bringing home a shelter kitten next week, and I can't wait. It's been over 9 years since I've had a kitten, and I'm sure my 2 big boys are going to be even more shocked than me.
The second toy that you reviewed the flapping bird, one of the reasons why the cats are probably going for it so much is because it has a catnip pouch that it comes with catnip pouch. You place it under the outside skin. The person that handed it off to you may not have said anything, or you may not have read it on the box. I bought this toy for my cat and he really loves it.
We have #3. She likes it well enough, but it also gives you the option to take it out and let it go wherever. You can set it to go frequent or by touch.
On one hand I have a kitten with the highest prey drive I've ever seen in a cat and I think she would run herself to exhaustion with that first toy. On the other hand, she runs herself to exhaustion with a wadded up scrap of copy paper. For a diy gift idea, cut a paper towel roll into half inch rings, fit one ring inside another, then wrap strips of paper dipped in water and glue around them to form a paper mache ball. Let dry completely. Bonus points for catnip in the center. They don't last very long, but they are loved while they do.
1 day after I ordered the ‘smart cat toy’ :p my cats are young full of energy, and they would play with us for hours upon hours, we thought it’d be a good idea to have this while we would like to do other things in our living room. I’m so glad that you feel it’s fun!
It is now Christmas day, and my two boys are absolutely loving the interactive cat ball! It does very well on the rug. They are both so engaged. This is something I’m gifting my friends for their cats in 2025. 🎄🐾❤️ Thank you Jackson!
Thanks for the reviews and as always thanks for promoting adoption. Anyone watching please see how you can help a rescue near you. We especially need adopters and fosters and people to fix their animals.
oh wow! my partner and i decided to adopt a cat after visiting tail town and as a new subscriber its cool to see you there! they do great work and anyone in the area who is on the fence should come visit and support ❤
My cat Is terrified of that interactive ball. It moves way too fast and when it bangs into the wall she gets even more afraid. It does work too well on carpet. That doesn’t show it down. It’s just as scary for Nina
Hey Jackson, I have 3 of those balls. My kittens love them. There interaction with them it is great. My dog also wants to play with it. They could careless about that burd! So it sits.
I'm going to my local cat cafe tomorrow, Cozy Cats Cafe, in Michigan, to donate some soap. All of the cats there are adoptable and the part of the cafe that houses them (there are 2 separate parts of the building) is a nonprofit. I was able to get a 5 gallon bucket of All Free and Clear type laundry soap for $25 today. They do a ton of laundry, and it is going there.
Liam, my orange boy, absolutely loves the Moppy ball from Chewy, he will leap for it, chase, grab it and flop on his side to "kill" it with his back paws. Best toy I have every bought for him. (sorry, no video, I can't take a video while I am tossing him the moppy.)
I have a few of these toys and my cats pretty much agree with the ratings! My kitten adores the ball with the tail, I will toss it in her felt donut tunnel and that keeps it contained, ups the noise element, and she loves chasing it inside and pulling the toy out. My cats' interest in the Sandpiper waned pretty fast. My girl who is prone to marking also peed on the bird... AND the sleeve for the other interactive ball toy which I also bought. Unfortunately, washing that sleeve means it looses all the crinkle factor and becomes limp and just about unusable. My kitten still likes to pounce on it but the ball can't really move around now that it was washed. The thing I will say is great about the ball with the fur is that I can still let it loose in my apartment, the cats still like chasing it, AND the fur means it is much quieter when it inevitably starts bouncing into the walls. The version with the tail can be super noisy when it hits the walls and I worry it annoys my neighbors. So it isn't a total waste, my girls still enjoy it!
I like the Giovic Interactive Ball. My ex-feral/stray would love that as would some of my other cats - Fluffy and Otto. Kira has a friction motor mouse she loves. She chases it, "kills" it then hides it. It'll disappear for months then I'll hear her chirping and she comes in proudly with her "kill" in her mouth. She'll play with it for a few days then it will disappear again. The bird toy seems to be a take on the "flappy fish". I have one but my cats get bored with it quickly. Favourite toy with our cats is the Catit Super Circuit. Otto, Oscar and Fluffy love that toy, even more so when we join in and bat the ball back and forth to them. Probably going to get an extension for it. My cats also like wand toys but we don't leave them alone with them. Most prized toy - a hand-made one I bought at a cat charity stall years ago. It's well made and filled with catnip. Bought it about 5 years ago and can't believe the catnip is still effective. Of course, their most beloved toy, which comes out once a year is...the Christmas tree. To see their faces light up when they see us putting it up is just wonderful as all 8 of my cats have been rescued from bad situations. I hope the cats at Tail Town Cat Cafe all get good, loving homes in time for Christmas.
Loved this video! Thank you for reviewing the toys and giving your honest opinion! I laughed so hard because you’re so right! 😂Needed to watch this to see what to get our babies for Christmas. 😺My favorite parts were watching the cats interact with you! So sweet! ❤ We have 14 inside fur babies. They mostly get along, except when they don’t want to share a toy or treat, LOL! We call them our toddlers. 😹 Praying all those sweet babies get adopted! God bless you! 🤗 Meowy Christmas! 🎄
I ordered the first toy, the interactive ball for my two HUGE boys and it scared them when it came back at them 😂 one ran to the bathroom to hide and the other jumped in the window. I gave it to the cavapoo puppy my neighbor has and she loves it!
I just purchased the retractable cat want with the foil teaser attachment that you briefly showed (and hated) in the beginning of this video and the end of your last toy review video… I purchased it because of the metal wand. My cat kept chewing through the other retractable wand toys I purchased so I wanted something chew proof. The wand is definitely chew proof, however, it’s heavy and stiff and I have to be careful not to accidentally smack my cat with it during playtime. I still appreciate the metal wand but wish it was lighter and flexible as it makes it a little awkward and uncomfortable to use!
So many of these toys are such fun on uncarpeted floors. When I had my house with hardwood, anything was good for hours of play. I sold that house and live in an apartment with wall-to-wall thick pile carpet. I have to get creative.
This is so helpful! My tuxedo is hyper and bored easily. He is a plastic chewer when stressed too. He loves toys and playing with me. Independent play is great for me when I have a chronic pain flair up
The flapping sandpiper is the single greatest toy any of my cats have ever had. I have two cats, my mother bought us one. I had to buy a second one immediately. We have had two sandpipers for three months now and they play with it multiple times a day every day, still. 10/10!
Hello from Zurich, Switzerland - thanks for the video- i have almost all of them or at least similar minus the cardboard laptop...my 2 birmans only were interested the 1st few days...but after all the money wasted, the best is YOUR INTERACTIVE toy and those I made with simple ribbons on telescopic rod, period - cheap and can play with them up to 35min. every night nonstop!!
We have 4 versions of the flapping bird toys (so far). We started with one. Couldn't believe it! The cats LOVE it. And when it stops, later they will go over and lay by it and hit it just to get it chirping again and moving. Its almost like these birds are kittens the way they cuddle with them. For us, this is a must have!!!
Both of my cats love ice cubes. My fridge dispenses them and I'll let a couple drop on the floor when they're around. Easily entertained and happy just kicking the ice cubes back and forth with them 😂
My girls love their fountain!!! I am very careful to change the filter every 4 weeks as recommrnded. I also put ice cubes in the top tray and they both love licking those cubes.
We have both toys with the rubber ball and our cats love them. They each have 3 settings one of which is an interactive one. They also switch off automatically saving on charging. They still play with them even when the battery has run out. Like any toy we just bring them out every now and then to keep the novelty factor.
Great video. String toy I like best, not in video, is Jackson's telescopic retractable toy. I like it because no cords are exposed when not in use. It is small enough to fit in arm chair pouch. Last reason my cats love it 🎉❤❤
My cat goes absolutely bananas for those shiny crinkle balls! And 1 specific little pink ghost plush toy that came in like a Halloween toy bundle we got her when she was 3 weeks old and she bonded with it. Its her comfort item, when she's nervous around new people she'll go get it and carry it around until she feels safe and it comes to the vet with us. Best $5 I have ever spent.
Jackson thank you so much for these reviews! I got my four babies the ball and they're absolutely going nuts and loving it! I will take it away after they've played with it for a while So it's more of a novelty when I take it out again next time. They're really loving it!!
We just got the ball toy with the sack. I think it’s been said elsewhere, but the fur ring is for using the ball outside of the sack. Our cats love it when we let it loose around the house!

I literally ordered the 1st toy you reviewed just this morning so I was holding my breath while I watched. So glad you liked it!
Same! :D
I just received ours in the mail yesterday. I was holding my breath too. I only paid 15.99 on Amazon.
I also got the flopping fish for my 1 yr old rescue black cat, he chewed off and ate the metal hook at the mouth! 😢
Wow! Am i a weirdo? I wish there was a place like that around where I live! I'd be there playing with the cats a couple times a week and loving it! How awesome!
I really miss our local cat cafe'. They had to shut down when one of the owners got sick. :(
I wish we had one, too. I did go to a cat cafe when I was in Minneapolis and loved it.
It is a fact that cats help people relax, there is nothing weird about that. Take care.💕🙏
I believe the industry term is "search engine optimization" or SEO
Jackson, I love cats!(worked in a veterinary hospital for 10 years) You have given me the kick in the pants to donate what a cat cafe or humane society needs! Asking them first!
All the kittens at the shelter where i volunteer LOVE spring toys.
My cat at home prefers squishy foam balls and tiny plastic traffic cones made for remote control cars.
my cats all LOVE the toy in the sack. you can also take it out of the sack, which is where the furry part becomes more useful. and there’s different speed settings. the problem is, the plastic that holds the ball and allows it to roll breaks pretty easily, and then it won’t do anything but make noise. i’ve had to order a new one twice since getting it for my baby’s birthday in april. but it’s cheap and she loves it so i say it’s worth it
Wow, Jackson, I'm so grateful for your presentation on cat toys. Your comments were so informative. Please review many more. Thx!
My kitty has the flapping/tweeting bird, he loves it!! But I tend to step on it & the tweeting drives me bananas!!!But what matters is, he loves it!!
That purple crown bed is cute
Having a blind PICA cat, just watching the "door-dangly-string" toy gave me anxiety. Thanks for making people aware!
I love that you filmed this at that wonderful cat cafe and thank you for your informed and honest reviews!
My dad used to tie flies. He makes them for my cat now. They -love- them.
Are they real flies? If so that's so cool
My cat isn’t so happy with toys that move on their own (she likes stick toys tho) she runs away from some bc she thinks they’re attacking her (a ball rolled towards her and she got scared)
But I bought some mice that rattle and she absolutely loves those (probably pearls or something in a plastic box but it’s formed as a mouse with like fur and a tail and everything and she absolutely loves those “murderes” them all the time she leaves them in my bed as an offering haha
Our 2 cats love it
Yeah, but ain’t nobody got time for that! 😂
@@marywatkins9438😂
I am a cat owner, and I will say that cat toys should not be that complicated, but anyone who has not read instructions for any item is not qualified to do a review on it--celebrity or not...
Just tell the truth, Jackson, that’s all we need!!! Thanks
It's also black so all colored toys are easy for her to see :)
it seems a long time Jackson. nice to see you doing what you do best, GOD bless you.
I got my cats the interactive ball toy. My youngster cat absolutely loves it! The downside is trying to find the darn thing when battery runs down!! 😂
Can't stop laughing all the way through this review. I especially like the recap when you said there were toys that didn't have any business being made.😂😂🤣
Light, love and savagery….and I am also here for it.😂😂😂
Thanks so much!! My Tuxie Sukanya Su gets bored rather easily... and it usually involves a cookie to get her interest.;) But the sandpiper does look interesting. Appreciate all you do for us and our feline kids!!
I love that finally there are research done that show how smart cats are! 😍😹🥳
I know people hate when you say you like those mice covered in rabbit fur, but they have been favorites of every car I’ve ever had
TY Cat Daddy! You are always so helpful in whatever you are doing.❤
I'm bringing home a shelter kitten next week, and I can't wait. It's been over 9 years since I've had a kitten, and I'm sure my 2 big boys are going to be even more shocked than me.
I needed that! Jackson pulls on the toy's leg and BOING! it comes off! LOL!
We love you Jackson !! Thankyou for such honest and thoughtful reviews!
The laptop mouse is the most fun my cat has ever had! She loves the scratcher, too!
All those sweet kitties helping you. The tuxedo baby was so adorable!
Right off the bat: sir are you aware of how cool you look? Especially with that backdrop? Like the colors match your outfit perfectly lol I love it!
😂Needed to watch this to see what to get our babies for
Christmas.
Jackson, I give your five cat mojos for this great evaluation.
😹
I just adopted three litter mates. All boys - thirteen weeks old. We're having a blast. Thank you for these reviews!
these are my fav types of videos u do, most helpful to pick what to buy my cats and what to stay away from ty mr galaxy!!
Thank you for testing the products and letting us know what's good and what's bad
I love this guy!!❤
My cat's favorite toy is a piece of dried penne that skitters really well when you slide it on the kitchen floor.
11:20 3.5 “Mojo heads” for the battery operated bird. Sounds very similar to “Vivian heads” like on Vivian tries. Love it.
Nope, Cat Daddy was NOT too harsh!
Thank you for the reviews Jackson.
We appreciate you so much!
I just purchased the retractable cat want with the foil teaser attachment that you briefly showed (and hated) in the beginning of this video and the end of your last toy review video…
I purchased it because of the metal wand.
Exactly same here! Thank goodness for a 2nd floor balcony with patio doors where I keep a big tray of birdseed which gives hours of watching time.
This is so helpful! My tuxedo is hyper and bored easily. He is a plastic chewer when stressed too. He loves toys and playing with me. Independent play is great for me when I have a chronic pain flair up
They make almost all cat toys to short.. My cat likes them to be really long..
So do my fingers 😂
My cat loves the smart ball
For us, this is a must have!!!
jackson i can't believe u were so close to my hometown! i've wanted to adopt bc of u. i plan on it this February.
Both of my cats love ice cubes. My fridge dispenses them and I'll let a couple drop on the floor when they're around. Easily entertained and happy just kicking the ice cubes back and forth with them 😂
That's super cute. 😻
I Love your Tennessee Orange shirt Yeah I'm annoyed with bad toys OMG I just bought a water fountain from Amazon
Last reason my cats love it 🎉❤❤
100% it's an Amazon box and tissue paper with a sprinkle of cat nip. It's always a 10 out of 10 with our cat.
Watching Jackson’s videos wether it’s on instagram, TH-cam , or cat from hell, he always makes me smile and have a good time!
We just got the ball toy with the sack. I think it’s been said elsewhere, but the fur ring is for using the ball outside of the sack. Our cats love it when we let it loose around the house!
