    Thank you so much for this information. I will be rebuilding my 1925 model T coupe this winter, and will not be afraid to do this if needed.

      Thanks for taking time to comment. Good luck with your rebuild. We have a friend that had never been in an engine that followed the videos to a very successful rebuild. There are a few places that the cameraman (me) could have done a better job!

    Subscribed and thanks for putting the effort into teaching us "young" guy's (I'm 49) about early industrial era tech. I fear we're losing this knowledge as time passes.

    I'm also 49 and have two T engines. I just subscribed to you're channel because I feel it's the best made that I've seen and that's a lot. Thank you for sharing you're knowledge Mike.

    Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and skills. I enjoyed the video. How sad for us as a country, that those in charge of the schooling in this country think that this knowledge is inferior to science or the arts. We were the industrial giant of the world. Now we export jobs to other countries while many go homeless for the lack of those jobs.

    Is there a release agent on the molds?

    • @modelt-tips6985
      @modelt-tips6985  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No release agent required. Just make sure the mold surfaces are really clean. After cooling just tap on the mold and it will release from the cap/block.

    In the olden days when no one had electronic thermometers I suppose they would just time themselves as to how long they heated the workpiece.

      Geoff Dearth, thank you for taking the time to comment and ask questions. I believe that there were temperture sticks back in the day. Temp sticks melt at specified temperatures so they can be used to determine the temp of the metal.
