Yes! I am just loving these videos. I am 30 (quite old comparing to you). Last year I started a Health Coach course to upgrade my life and do something I feel passionate about and with this, it triggered on falling in love again on learning and thinking on going to University (never went before), meaning I will try to study for GCSEs. This thought pattern made me feel really confused, insecure, scared and uncertain on I was feeling. I just recognized that I was having this paradigm of feeling quite old plus society's pressure of "it's the age of starting a family or having kids". Did realized I can do all of the things I want to do as a personal level - including starting a family, business or hobbies and continuing or starting with my education at any age. Even studying as a Health Coach I recognized I don't have the best discipline, strategy and method to understand the concept, memorize it and apply it. Having You, Ali Abdaal and Kharma Medic, makes me feel super motivated and plus it helps me to gain tools and know HOW to study effectively and feel productive. Thank you Udoka. I feel blessed! I actually tried the flashcard method or whatever for my end of unit test I ended up getting a 63% before I was getting 3’s and 2’s but as soon as I used a flashcard I remembered most of this it really works and I can still remember most of the topic
Hey man, I really appreciate your videos, recently, I received my report card back and whilst I did pass everything, I didn't hit my forecasted grades which really put me down so I decided it was time for change, this week I made sure to revise for some upcoming tests in geography and IT which I wouldn't normally do but the thought of failure and me watching your videos has driven me to be a better person in terms of productivity when It comes to revising, It's very inspiring to see someone of my age putting in soo much hard work which you don't often see these days Also quick question, with my science mocks in 2 weeks, have I left revision too late? I was thinking about starting them next week. The good thing is they've been seperated into seperate exams (biology, physics and chemistry all in different weeks which is good despite the fact I'm in combined which is confusing) but anyway, keep putting out good content and good luck for the future!
I mean are you doing paper 1? Because there is a lot of content to cover in 2 weeks for paper 1 of each science (I do triple, and mine are in January). I'd honestly suggest start revising immediately, but I don't know how much you understand the content for paper 1, but I suggest if you don't have much time pick the easiest topics/ topics you think you'll more likely be able to understand and remember and revise them well, rather than rushing everything. Just try and pick up as many marks as possible- for example always saying 'to make it a fair test' in practical questions and mentioning control variables (i.e. variable X will affect unwantingly the results of this investigation). Use key words too!
@@varishpersaud5093 thanks for the advice, I'm not aiming extremely high, I'd be happy with a level 5 as science isn't a subject that I want to focus all of my time into just because it has nothing to do with what I want to persue as a career. I'd say I have decent knowledge in most subjects, It would just be a matter of revising most subject to make sure I know as much as possible and going into depth with a few of them. But you see, I don't actually know, I'd need to askk my teacher as he hasn't given us too much info, just all of the topics which are most likely to come up in the paper
I think to really get the information in your head you need to learn to enjoy the work, I was predicted a 1 or a 2 for my English but luckily got a 4, thank god all this lock down and students being given there predicted grades as actual grades didn't happen last year I'd be screwed

Also congrats on your recent gain in subscribers; well deserved as your videos are very helpful and informative :)

Ngl i have my mocks this week as well, and I’ve never really revised for anything. I’ve always failed most test in subjects such as English literature I got a 3.... and this year in English language my predicted grade is 4-3, and that’s the only subject I’ll probably pass, as bad as it sounds it’s true because I do horrible in maths and science and other subjects. So I’ve come to terms will failure, I just don’t see myself doing well and getting a good job, don’t know what will happen.
I am in year 10 got mocks on June and I feel the same. I rarely study for anything and I just do everything on a whim. When I found udoka channel I started to feel motivated to revise get decent grades I just want 6-7s, get a decent job, and do well in life I guess. Although, still struggling with keeping the pace little by little I am getting there.
And I actually doubt myself a lot when I came across this guys channel, don’t get me wrong he’s a cool guy and will get far in life, but like watching him revise a lot makes me compare myself too him and make me feel like damn I’m literally gonna get no where lol, he gives me more motivation though to actually revise so I tried a little but I don’t think it did much, I also don’t know really how to revise and I’m in year 11 doing mocks
@@vercful516 Don't say you'll fail! Revise as much as possible (staying healthy) and just hope for the best: you can't change the past, but you can change the future, so just hope (let's say exams are cancelled), that you'll be much better prepared to retake them by autumn. It's not the end of the world honestly, and grade 4s aren't that bad. Just start with something simple. For science, watch freesciencelessons' videos, and honestly since I started watching them I went from grade 3-4 in biology assessments to much higher grades on the recent homeostasis one (and generally understand better). Obviously there won't be enough time at this point, but watch (in the case of science), maybe 20% of the videos for paper 1 and try and understand what he is saying, as you never know any little revision helps. With English, try and think of ALTERNATIVE INTERPRETATIONS of a quote: for example fire motif in Jekyll and Hyde suggests: 1) Danger, 2) Progressive/ strengthening power of Hyde (since fires spread and become increasingly out of control). 3) Could be positive- gives warmth/ comfort. Link writer's message (Stevenson wants mankind to balance duality of man's nature- not suppress it or let it dominate as both of these things are equally dangerous) and CONTEXT. Ensure u say for literature things like 'Writer X uses character Y as a tool to demonstrate/ show dangers/importance of/ our responsibility etc' as this shows u don't only understand the story but how it is allegorical Seneca is also really useful for basically any gcse, so I suggest making concise notes (but for history if u are doing it make sure to note down & memorise any facts/ figures)
@@varishpersaud5093thank you so much for the info, I’ll try the videos and the links. Also what if I watch the videos and don’t take it in, should I just rewatch the video?

When I found udoka channel I started to feel motivated to revise get decent grades I just want 6-7s, get a decent job, and do well in life I guess. Although, still struggling with keeping the pace little by little I am getting there.
@@lloydlovesme7111 yeah, but I’m still failing lol
Ensure u say for literature things like 'Writer X uses character Y as a tool to demonstrate/ show dangers/importance of/ our responsibility etc' as this shows u don't only understand the story but how it is allegorical
Seneca is also really useful for basically any gcse, so I suggest making concise notes (but for history if u are doing it make sure to note down & memorise any facts/ figures)
@@varishpersaud5093thank you so much for the info, I’ll try the videos and the links. Also what if I watch the videos and don’t take it in, should I just rewatch the video?
