Heres how my gcses went:My school actually had mocks in the hall with invigilators and alot of people were caught cheating and papers just ripped. Revised like 5 hours after coming back home during mock weeks since i didnt revise the week before, got some of the results and ended up getting 3 5s for science 9 for cs and 9 for history.
My mocks are the first week back after Christmas. We are going to do 3 papers a day , even at lunch time and a little bit after school 😭 . We are doing the whole paper together nothings split and for example for science we are doing the 2020 gcse paper so no one cheats . We have loads of topics which is really hard because some of the stuff we haven’t even covered .
This is a very well made video and as a fellow ‘about to’ graduate you made relatively true points such as the revision being welcome anytime if effective, and cheaters being unhelpful to themselves only.

Your videos are so motivating! I had my mocks early november, such a stressful time, but my efforts paid off. I got five 9s, two 8s, two 7s and one 5: the 5 was because I completely misread the main question and was too far into the paper to correct it :( however I know I'm better than that, as I'm predicted a 9 for the subject, so listening to your videos will make me want to try harder. If you're good at science you will feel like you are finishing ridiculously early especially if you are in exams with double science. In my first set off mocks this scared me and I thought I had messed up. What you need to do is make sure you are using the time. In my mocks I often made the mistake of not checking over and this makes a huge difference. Don't worry if you are finishing early in the subjects you are strong in!
People in my mocks would go to the fucking toilet and search up the answers, even though we had ours in the hall and around 3 instigators walking along each row.

Hello, I had done my mocks in November, and so I got my results last week. We did the exams in the exam hall. I got: Chemistry: 9 Biology: 8 Physics: 8 Maths: 8 Geography: 9 English lit: 7 English lan: 7 Sociology: 6 Spanish: 5 In my actual GCSEs I’m aiming for mostly 9s and my minimum is an 8 ☺️

It’s frustrating that people cheated in your mocks, luckily ours was very serious like in the hall and with invigilators and handing our phones in etc. But at least you know that whatever you get was from pure knowledge, well done I bet you’ve done incredibly, you’ve worked so hard! oh my God so many people cheated on science mocks it annoyed me so much because I studied really hard for science. And they made our test harder than previous classes because of it. Also don't forget to take breaks sometimes for your mental health!

I feel like I should have done a lot more work leading up to mocks, but procratinated so much. But it's reassuring to know that there are people like you in the comment section who have had their hard work pay off
I mean our school is still doing them in the hall in January for the mocks... and still will be the full time. Annoyingly, we are doing both computer science papers and for history all 3 topics (but sir bullet pointed what topics will come up which is good), and we are doing 3x math papers as well. So ours aren't going to be split and I highly doubt people will even be able to cheat considering you aren't allowed your bag with you and I expect invigilators will walk up and down constantly.
I’m loving these videos, (excited for the desk set up tour), I’m in year 10 so I have just started the GCSE course and a few weeks ago i had my first moc which was the English language reading section, I got it back the other day and I got one mark of an A so I think when it comes round to it in the summer I should be good to get an A which is my target for all my subjects. I got 3-5 in my mocks, not surprising since I don't study that often, I really need that push in motivation because I struggle to learn since distractions like just play video after coming from school or not having the will power to study at all if anyone got good ways to revise and good motivation I will appreciate it so so much!
Y10 mocks use past papers from years that are publicly accessible so it was very easy to go online to try to memorise answers but there was nobody cheating apart from just memorising the answers
Hey bro, my exams were run slightly differently to your exams, we did them in the exam hall and the mocks went as if it were public exams with invigilators not being the teachers. This helps to get used to the real thing. Hope you get the best grades possible.

My mocks started as of today and we're doing it in the Hall with the the proper timings so 1 hr 45 for English language paper 1etc. We're also doing papers 1 and 2 for all subjects and therefore got 2 weeks n a half weeks of exams but we got the xmas break between the paper 1 and 2 exams so it cuts down the amount of revision we need to do for each subject which is helpful and less stressful
My mocks were a mix, I did well in English Lang (8), History (8) and Biology (7). Then my other subjects were bad, especially considering I actually revised for them: Maths (5), Chemistry (4) and Physics (3). Haven't gotten my other subjects back yet.
Where did you guys do your mocks? I did all of mine in the classrooms. Yh I saw at least 6 ppl cheat and many people went and looked for the paper to give to their friends which were isolating. UNFAIR cuz grade boundaries are gonna be higher. 😤

Well done on completing mocks only got two left now and yeah about the cheating topic one person in the bottom set leaked the triple and combined 2019 papers and practically everyone cheated so upset as I tried so hard and they ruined it 😭
mocks were fine. really happy with some subjects but also quite dissapointed with others. luckily mine were before the christmas break so i can relax during them
I agree with all u said about cheating . Same thing happened to me but in an exam hall. Because it was cold, many people had their phones in their coats. Very annoying. Also, all the maths papers were on TH-cam, and many people found these. I myself feel guilty as I briefly looked at 1 of the 3 papers, but many cheated fully. The teachers now know and are trying to test us more to fix this, which is very tiring immediately after exams. Although I know cheating is bad, I believe my school should have looked at youtube before prinitjby off the papers. As well as this, my teacher is now saying the extra exams we just did are not accurate as people cheated again, even though there was only one evening to look it up. I'm in top set for maths and am a bit annoyed at this as it feels like a waste of time. All my other exams went ok, there were a few small things I found later on about people cheating, but maths was the most significant. Thanks for the videos, they genuinely motivate me and help me a lot.
For the current situation of international GCSES is pretty uncertain - so far my state is still under lockdown and the numbers don’t seem to be dropping. It’s most likely my school will postpone the mocks _again_ or do online tests which I seriously hate due to the amount of distractions and possible cheating involved. The wait is tiring and I just want to get over it :/
Yeah a lot of 2019 papers are online. The student room also freaking exposes everything. My last mock is tommorow (Physics). The maths papers are on TH-cam as well. As is French, history and some more that I cant remember. It's so stupid though coz when u search up past papers u kinda just find it and ur like, well this isn't gonna be on the test coz its online and then it is and ur just like oh... well🤷🏿♀️.

Well done on completing mocks only got two left now and yeah about the cheating topic one person in the bottom set leaked the triple and combined 2019 papers and practically everyone cheated so upset as I tried so hard and they ruined it 😭

I agree with all u said about cheating . Same thing happened to me but in an exam hall. Because it was cold, many people had their phones in their coats. Very annoying. Also, all the maths papers were on TH-cam, and many people found these. I myself feel guilty as I briefly looked at 1 of the 3 papers, but many cheated fully. The teachers now know and are trying to test us more to fix this, which is very tiring immediately after exams. Although I know cheating is bad, I believe my school should have looked at youtube before prinitjby off the papers. As well as this, my teacher is now saying the extra exams we just did are not accurate as people cheated again, even though there was only one evening to look it up. I'm in top set for maths and am a bit annoyed at this as it feels like a waste of time. All my other exams went ok, there were a few small things I found later on about people cheating, but maths was the most significant. Thanks for the videos, they genuinely motivate me and help me a lot.

For the current situation of international GCSES is pretty uncertain - so far my state is still under lockdown and the numbers don’t seem to be dropping. It’s most likely my school will postpone the mocks _again_ or do online tests which I seriously hate due to the amount of distractions and possible cheating involved. The wait is tiring and I just want to get over it :/

Yeah a lot of 2019 papers are online. The student room also freaking exposes everything. My last mock is tommorow (Physics). The maths papers are on TH-cam as well. As is French, history and some more that I cant remember. It's so stupid though coz when u search up past papers u kinda just find it and ur like, well this isn't gonna be on the test coz its online and then it is and ur just like oh... well🤷🏿♀️.
