Hey thank you for this guide! This and the FI video on Mexico made me buy and train Mexicans where I grew up for 7 years of my childhood. I have something for you to look into! Mexicans have a card to train Chinacos for free on their Haciendas. With 20 villagers you get 1 every 20 seconds. You have max 85 villagers. You can get 20 cows on another one and with the California Revolt I believe, it's the left one in Age 4 (no Age 5 return) then you can get a card for 2000 gold to get their level 5 version for free. With that revolution you can also send cards to train a lot more cows than usual. So let's say you have 80 vils on 4 haciendas and another 80 cows (might be lower the limit) on another 4 haciendas. 20 cows haciendas spawn about every 25 seconds. 80 vils on 4 is 4 every 10 seconds. That's 24 every minute. The fully upgraded unit has around 650 HP and 50 siege attack. It has 2.5/2 bonus against Infantry and you can get a powerful charge action with the spear. 24 units every minute.

Nice guide! Do you ever play against ai? Would you consider making some guides against ai as well if you do. Also I see most aoe players have insane macro skills like I can't even follow where you click and select as it's insanely fast. I have been playing aoe for years and I'm slow as hell. Might be mostly because of I dont play competitively but still would like to get faster.
Best way to get faster is making more use of hotkeys, the time saved on pointing to stuff can be used for other things and the more of an automation a certain hotkey becomes, the easier it is to incorporate others as well
I recommend Mitoes pro deck for water on water map, really good for water booming, you really do not need any Hacienda, for really diffrent but very fun build order
Villagers have nutritiously bad pathing in most AOE games. A lot of higher level players seem to mitigate this by making their own path for the vils, rather than relying on the game. I say seem to because I'm not one of those high level players, and am just guessing
It works better in team games because you can have the opportunity to go greedy. I would say that the Fast revolt or FI is the most used strategy for Mexico at the moment. I like playing age 2 and focusing on soldado production :)

Sorry, I still don't understand what is the big deal about haciendas. Asian civs have rice paddies which can switch between resources too, whats the difference? Can someone explain more clearly what is the deal with haciendas?
@@OlgaUnKolhozs So the hacienda automatically spawns free cows? Then I wait until the cows fatten and eat the cows? If I'm not using the card that spawns 3 villagers on each hacienda, then are haciendas worth building?

I played against AI in this beginners guide just so that I had 100% concentration on explaining the build order etc.

great vid! Quick question: when you move a villager or any unit, why do you click 17-20 times, tracing a path, instead of straight to the point?

U get card that spawns 3 vilagers on each hacisnda, u can spawn free cows that cost no pop and gather from hacienda
