Excellent breakdown. I’ve been on the fence about getting these but I thing this would be a nice addition to my Xterra when it comes time to change the plugs
I really want to upgrade. I have to get the exhaust done first then I will see about these. I'm trying to follow the big gains like the volant CAI, Banks exhaust, these coils, and hopefully a tune on an old 08 with 210k miles original engine. Currently have the Nismo R tune CAI but want to switch to the Volant after watching the other videos. Stock otherwise.
We have not performed instrumented testing ourselves but we have numerous reports from clients that they are seeing improvements in fuel economy with coils and also intakes. It's reasonably common feedback for us but we haven't validated it. Biggest impact for sure is driving style so if you're easy on the throttle before and after upgrades we expect it's likely you will see improvements. Exhaust systems that don't loose any torque likely will help as well, any that did loose noticeable amounts on the low end will likely hurt in stop & go scenarios related to MPG.
Spencer, how much of a difference is there between the OEM Denso plugs vs the Value Advantage plugs? Also, how much a difference do the upgraded coils make with a truck @ 50k?
@@z1off-road Would appreciate if you guys could put it to the top of the list. Need to do a 100k mi maint and looking at what difference there is between the 2 plugs.
I’m curious about the durability of these. The increased energy and spark duration will generate more heat in the coils and cylinder head. How long can these coils last compared to OEM spec Denso or NGK? Should colder spark plugs be used to offset the increased heat?
We can check for you but you may get a quicker answer from the tech team at info@z1offroad.com. We’re working to bring the R50 model support online formally, hopefully it will be added to the model selector soon.
Z1 best in nissan market. My Xterra has survived due to these guys and girls. Nissan for life!
Really enjoy your content. There's so much stuff for domestic trucks and Tacomas but not much love for Nissan owners. Appreciate your work.
Thanks for watching! We have plenty more in the works for you guys.
There's a lot of stuff for nissan
I got these Z1 coil packs on my 2010 G37x coupe with 134,000,Big Improvement better throttle response 👍🏿
Thanks
@@z1off-roadwould you recommend using these for a 2002 maxima
How do the Z1 coils conpare to the R8 coils i see some people using.

My truck has 181k miles and is on what I believe to be the original coils. This video is making me very tempted to dump more money into it. Haha.
What’s the numbers for a VQ40?
I bought some for my Frontier 4.0 but have not installed them yet.
Just ordered mine can't wait to throw them on

so was that hp and torque just bringing potentially lost power back to the older motor or an additional gain?
Z1 The gift that keeps on giving. Enjoy having subbd to your channel.
We appreciate that, we will keep the great content coming!
What's the warranty and where are they made?
These coils work on 2019 Titan ?
No but we have those in the works for the VK
@@z1off-road My truck been having hot starting issues? Any idea why ? Also has hesitation every once in awhile.
Since the output is greater with these coils. Will my frontier get better gas mileage?

What are the warranty of these?
Why don’t you make anything for the fwd vq platform
Hey Spencer! $319 dollars they should come with new bolts. Lol
Look up the price of OEM these are cheaper
How do these fair against the R35 coil conversion on a 250z DE (De the world)

Haven''t had the opportunity to test a VQ40 @ 50K yet for this test but we'll work on it. Will see about getting a plug comparison for you guys too.

@@loztsoul77 have you felt any power increase with them ?
I'm installing these now, do they need dielectric grease or is it already applied (ie the green stuff inside the opening)?
We don't when we install ours, but it wouldn't hurt if you did.

Even if they last half as long as OEM, they’re a better value.
Love your videos. I'm just a lil' ol R50 pathfinder owner. I have an 03 with the VQ35DE. Any suggestions on what coil/plug combo i should use?

What ohm (200k) reading do you get on pin 1 and 2 with these considering buying some (VQ35HR coils)
