This man is a treasure. You really can tell a great teacher by how contagious their passion is . Learning is effortless and enjoyable. Usually background noise never bothers me but im glad it stoped about half way through. This golden info is priceless to me, thank you Harley for sharing your great wealth of knowledge with such an upbeat and positive vibe. As i said, its contagious.
I was gunna stop because of the background noise, i wont now thx mate. I got a few science based growing cannabis vids if anyone is interested. Living soil yo!
I love this guy, the passion he has for plants and nutrition helps fuel my passion for growing. As a former Cultivation Director it's nice to get that fuel in what can become a monotonous job, even if it is a cannabis grow. LONG LIVE HARLEY.
Anyone remember which video he talks about bloom stimulants and turning on the plant gene? So much info I have to create a journal. God Bless you Harley Smith
I not new to growing but this spoon feeding thing is very interesting. I ended up purchasing 14 products from RAW's website. Local hydro store only carries 1 or 2? Said they cannot get it from their supplier so i went straight to the source oh ya and cheaper too. I only use what is needed and the Yuca is useful using the most. Just use a small amount of these and you may not need any till you get to veg stage but i bet when they are seedlings going into vegging you will use the ominA because of the humidity swings :-) Thank you Harley and to the HGR Garden Supply for the much appreciated nutrient lesson on spoon feeding. Don't start grow without watching and understanding these 2 videos!
Hey man, I am so glad I found your channel. Your knowledge and training is a gold mine of information...I absolutely adore your lectures. I wished I could attend one of your meetings. but that ain't gonna happen. Thank you for sharing your wisdom!!!
It was mentioned that humic acid neutralizes the soil. Harley suggest you use it just before the plants get fertilized. My question is, how long will the humid acid neutralizes the soil? Will the HA neutralizes the pH of the fertilizer?
Harley is the best! I've been watching him for probably a couple years now and not many people can hold my attention like him. I wish npk industries would sponsor me 😎✌
Delayed response, but I'm just watching this. You would most definitely want to use your amino every feeding and with a calcium supplement if you need calcium. Usually most base nutrients, water, and soil already have calcium in them. Amino helps chelate the calcium in your root zone even if you are not feeding calcium there is usually calcium already in your soil. It unlocks the calcium in which the uptake of calcium is very important to the health of your plants. One thing it does is strengthens the cell walls within your plant.
I just ordered some phosphorous today. I assume promoting root growth will make stalks and branches bigger ? I am using fox farm nutrients but when I grow from seeds my plants are always skinny and the branches seem small. I assume promoting root growth will help achieve this ?
Do you have good air movement over them? An indirect fan to make them dance a little will strengthen and build them. Also if your light is too far away it will make them stretch and give them a lanky structure.
Oxygen to the roots is great but i was talking about making the plants move. For seedlings, enough to make them dance a little will help strengthen them. The bigger they get the more they can take. Hurricane makes a great little clip on fan for about 20$. I use 1 for my 2x3 veg area.
Those products will assist with a healthy soil microbiology. The salt fertilizers will kill soil microbiology. One must choose between feeding soil or feeding plants.
@@johnboykin3128 thank you. I've been using seaweed/black strap molasses as a liquid feed for my lawn mainly foliar application then once dry I water in later. Just shocked that from looking at this the ratio of just a teaspoon can go a very long way
@@Bossko1986 and it's true. I use very little fertilizer in my grows, and my plants are super healthy and vibrant. Nitrogen is way over used and causes problems in plant immunology.

No kidding right
I hear ya. Try using maxigro. 1 teaspoon per gallon for the whole grow.
Spoon feeding is the key imo.

What’s the recipe for fulvic and kelp as a foliar spray??? 5:2?
You are the man❤
In which order would you mix these raw npk nutrients? Amonia (amino acids), humic acid , silica, kelp, base nutrients
23:47 Kelp
48:25 B Vitamins
Will Harley ever touch on things like Salicylic Acid, Harpin Proteins, Chitin/Chitosan, Aspirin etc.??
He has on chitosan and chitin I'm pretty sure

When mixing this in a reservoir for hydroponics ebb and flow, when would you add this product to nutrient mix? After base nutes?
Mr, Smith can I use your products to produce edible flowers???? and help us one of those you recommend
Yes of course, he talks mostly about edibles

Yes, but keep in mind that ppm meters use a conversion factor to translate EC to PPM - and not all are the same :

how do you measure a 16 th of a teaspoon..
+Duncan Nicholson Weigh out a teaspoon on a scale. Divide by 16. None of this has to be exact though, just close.
count drops in a 1/4 teaspoon and divide
not accurate way to do it, but I just pinch my thumb and index finger that about 16th of a tsp
😆
Amazon has 1/16 tsp spoon sets

I'll stick with canna. As used by many commercial growers in the food industry. Why would I risk doing otherwise? It would not be logical.
