On bullet physics in Battlebit: I've actually taken video clips into the video editor to count time/frames to calculate bullet velocity. Turns out, the stats given in the game for a given gun seem to be in meters per second AND they seem to be fairly in line (but a bit on the low side) with real weapons. I measured velocities in the range of just under 2000 feet per second to a bit over 2500 feet per second. True rifles tend to have a typical range of about 2000 feet per second to as much as 4000 feet per second or a smidge more at the extreme high end. Something like typical 5.56 rounds are a bit over 3200 feet per second. .308 or 7.62 NATO rounds are around 2600 to 2800 roughly. So, real world rounds ARE a bit faster, but it's certainly in the ball park. :)
