Question to all you contra alto's: can you sing all the notes in this video in your chest voice??? I can't. At a certain point i have to switch to my headvoice
@@altpropaganda7293incorrect. altos are not contraltos, contraltos also have a specific flap in their vocal cords that are different from normal vocal cords, this is why they are naturally able to sing deeper instead of “practicing to become one”.
@@AquatasOasis Ik im late but.. I can’t figure out if im really a contralto or not… I lie in the same vocal range but I don’t have the rich vocal type they tend to have

Im trying to get someone to help me figure out if I am a contralto...My lowest note i can sing is C3 and my highest is a g4. If you could please tell me what that range typically is I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much. :)
being a contralto is more about the tona than the range. Yo can have a range from C3 to C5 and be a Tenor or a Contralto, it depends on your tone. Contraltos have an androgynous voice, Tenor's do not.
Thank you so much for this, it’s a great warm up for us contraltos. :)

Like so many of us on the other side of the pandemic, we’ve lost a lot. This is perfect. I’m already gaining my higher notes with one run at the video
Mmmm what does it mean if you can go deeper??
My gosh! I didn't know I was a contralto until today. This is so helpful!
Thank you!! I'm a mezzo soprano but I love expanding my range 😁
thank you!! im a female tenor at my school but vocally a contralto who can’t get very high lol😅
I feel this! 😂
Thanks so much, I never find warmups for contaltos

I also have to jump up towards the end of every exercise.
I'm an alto, but I really want to learn to be a contralto. Thanks for the video!
You are a contralto if your an alto im pretty sure, I think alto is in reference to a part in choir music so its contralto, mezzo, soprano.

Just got into singing again and can't hit the high notes of this lesson. What do? 😅
just practice! some contraltos since their voice is specific to be low pitched it’s not easy, but with practice and consistency you’ll get it!
Really really helpful Ma'am!!! Thanks a lot !!! 😇☺️☺️🌻🌻🌻🌻💛💛💛🌻✨

Please tell us!
as a contralto, my range is c#3-c#5 (or #6 i cant remember)
So I think you might be one

If this fits your voice, it means you are contralto, correct?
If you can comfortable sing between F3 and F5.
