- If you are looking for a video where you can learn how to remove scratches from glasses. Then I recommend you to watch this video till the end to learn how to make best scratch remover at home.
Do not do this , I had two small scratches on my glasses that I hoped to be able to remove. Not only are the scratches still there but now the two glasses are completely scratched and the anti-reflective film is chipped in pieces. I learned my lesson at great cost my glasses are completely unusable.
🤣
I did this and now I clean my teeth with sunglasses cleaner
I am sure this won't work with anti-reflective coating.
I totally agree with it. I recommend lodge FIR on such TH-camr who are upload this type of video
Thanks
I worked for an optometrist many years ago and saw a lot of things people would try with their glasses, but by far this wins the stupid award. Depending on the type of lens, coating, tempering and other factors built into your particular prescription, reliance upon a youtube video to fix scratches will result in a new pair. What you all don't know is that many doctors will buff out, if the scratches are slight, for free or for a minimal fee. Call your doctor!
Now I can see muuuuuch better!!!!
It works extremely well because after doing this treatment on my glasses, they were completely and absolutely useless and I went forward and bought new ones!!!
😂😂😂😂😂🤘!
Let's find this (guy) and eff em up
ROFL!!!!
jajajaja😅
😂
😂
Don't ever try to do this. It will damage your glasses even more. This video is edited cleverly. Watch closely 🙈
If you watch closely, there are actually no scratches on the glass lens shown. The video maker has made the lens of the glass appear as if there are scratches on it, while they have actually stained it with the same tooth paste they use in the video pretending to remove the scratches 0:08 . And the end result, you can see that the lens has actually got real scratches in the process 1:28 !
I think they were making Homemade Fart Juice/Spray.
Much appreciated
Hey maker of this video make something that will actually help with situations like this don’t be a fake 😡😒
Everyone should report this for being misleading until it gets taken down!
This is right up there with making your own AUX PORT in an iPhone.
Wrong order. The correct recipe is:
1. Apply 1/2 teaspoon of toothpaste on scratches
2. Mix some flour
3. Add salt, sugar and ground rice
4. A quarter teaspoon of hair removing cream
5. Light pink lipstick
6. One drop of contaminated water
7. Ginger and garlic paste
8. Let it dry for 72 hours
Meanwhile, buy a new one and you're good to go. 😎
I'll give it a go. Is it better to use fish pond water or the water from a nuclear reactor?
I'll give it a go. Is it better to use fish pond water or the water from a nuclear reactor?
Apparently
You forgot petrol and matchbox
Wrong ,you should first soak in vinegar overnight
To all of you that said don't do this? I deeply thank you! I'm not even gonna attempt it! I will buy the correct polish. I already have headlight polish, but it's rubbing compound. I need something even more delicate and gentle. Maybe even a car wax? I need to do some more research.
I dropped my glasses on the cement sidewalk and it bounced leaving me with a few scratches right in my field of vision and it's bothering the crap out of me! 🤬
And you can use floss to clean the nose pieces (true story). However, get a lens restore kit from your local auto store or (if your glasses aren't too bad) just some glass finishing polish and an attachment for your drill. Look at the box of the lens restore kit for a visual...should look like a sponge material. It will take a few "rounds" of applying, buffing, and rinsing to get best results. Just do NOT go too harsh.
Rule number one, always lay glasses face down on table when trying to remove scratches.
😂
perfect now my glasses are scratched and minty
I did this! It felt like walking about on a foggy day.
😂😂😂😂😂
lol best comment
;)
I was going to TH-cam one of those “does this hack really work?!” Videos. Thanks for saving me the time
😀😂
This is why the dislike button should never have been removed, thanks thin skinned msm
The only way this would work is if you rubbed it directly into your eyes and then you would not notice the scratches anymore, due to blindness.
😂best comment
😂
Lol
Lol
🧐😵🤓
What is not told , is that it does not work on all types of glasses, especially plastic type lenses it WILL DESTROY them, IT WILL MAKE THEM WORST.
You all should make a disclaimer on trying to remove scratches from lenses using this technique, it does not work ALL the time.
It said glasses so basically plastic lenses not included
@@BETATV_0000 glasses are eye wear. The name "glasses" comes from the fact that the original lenses were made of actual glass. now, 99% of the lenses are polycarbonate.
Dude the disclaimer is that it never works. It's finding that, "Oh, I made the error of trying it... trial and error."
WORST!
You would swear that there was a shortage of water................................
I wonder why this video still hasn't been taken down.
Since when does Colgate make a toothpaste called Sparkle!
in asia!
People, do not do this to crystal glasses. It's fine to do it to plexi glass/vynil like on old DVDs but not crystal. Also, if you wash it off, don't soak it all in. You don't want your hinges to oxide. Just wash it gently missing any screws or hinges
Does not work at all and what's with the gloves you scared to get toothpaste on your hand?😂😂
not for multicoated lenses
This will deteriorate the quality of your lense!!
Yes that's the point, it deteriorates the lenses so the scratches are level with everything else making it clear
This wrked but there is a problem that Colgate frame me fas gaya h or nikal ni rha h
there is video suggestions covering the result at the end. and i didnt really see a scratch in the first place. ,
removes scratches , then places them lens side down on hard surface
Why are they wearing gloves to rub on toothpaste?
They try to make it look like continuous filming, but there are cuts, which is most probably so they can change for another pair of glasses.
Please don't do this, toothpaste and baking soda might work on some surfaces to fill in the tiny scratches, but you shouldn't put an abrasive subtance on glasses
Board as hell one night scrubbed for a long time, doesn’t work.
For plastic lenses use BRASSO
I tried many.. it doesn't work if your glass is plastic type kind. 🧐
To see the comments you should remove this false video as soon as possible otherwise are you ready to compensate all those who like me have completely destroyed their glasses and will have to buy others. I will definitely do some research to see if any remedies are possible for all of us! Extremely annoying!!
even a blind person can see that there ARE NO scratches on the lenses, he made the lenses dirty to create the illusion of scratches. THERE ARE NO WAYS TO REMOVE SCRATCHES FROM LENSES! if you put any type of chemicals on your glasses you will actually ruin and destroy any of the features you paid for in your glasses, the best solution is to pay for anti-scratch protection when they make your glasses at the eye doctor. Just wash your glasses with a little bit of baby shampoo and or glass cleaner. You will be better off.
I should have read the comments first. I followed the instructions and all it did was put super fine scratches or caused some kind of cloudiness to my once clear but scratched plastic over the glasses safety goggles. This made it worse! Don't do this!
This video made me feel the importance of dislike button.
For yall tryna attempt this, no. It doest work. Sad but true. Just get it fixed professionally.
Ok
Why would anyone post this? Knowing it will ruin your expensive eyeglasses. That’s horrible
I have my own way. But this was funny to watch. The comments are classic. I think that I might make a video of how to do it correctly. and post it, since I'm doing a fix tomorrow.
Your own way?
@@MrJohnnyDistortion probably with a hammer
If you want to completely ruin your lenses - then this is the video for you. Don’t do it.
Pearl Drop tooth past always worked great, but alas it's not sold anymore...
So toothpaste and baking soda and water?
yeah does this work
And also lemon juice
Does it work?
NO IT WONT WORK YALL-
I'm from the South, is there an alternative to toothpaste?
I have power spectacle and have scratches and dust attached how to remove them
Gloves with toothpaste. Lmfao
Nice one Subscribed. Please keep it comin...
Please never do this hahahahaa 🤣
Ps: I might be laughing now but I was close to crying when I ruined my glasses worth of $450 😭
It happened to me..but i would not even pretend to do this...my glasses where £540 so i stay clear of this .....
They didn’t add cleaning your glasses first making sure no debris is on them that’s why people ruin their glasses doing this
@@rickcotton4388 bro I wear glasses my whole life and you think I don't know about how devastating the smallest grains of sand can be? Lol ofcourse it is being washed, rinsed and wiped with a special type of cloth first but still the way this content creator makes it look like we can just remove scratches using his method is causing more damage than good.
Didn't really work scratches still exist tho i see a whole lot better thru my well clean lenses😆
HOW STUPID THIS WOULD RUIN THE LENSE IT WOULD BE LIKE LOOKING THRU WAX PAPER
Did this work??
Scratch scratchity scratch
Toothpaste alone works just fine
Is it actually working
Thanks for making the video
This video is good for removing stains in the bathroom/kitchen, not your designer pair of glasses. Buyer beware! 😎
Please don’t do this….it will ruin your AR coating
Just buy some steel wool and a pinch of beach sand, it'll do the same job!
Dude wtf my glasses have a huge scratch like I clean it all the time DOESNT get off it’s annoying me
Please, for the people stupid enough to even consider trying this, DON'T!
I was thinking about doing it
To late lol
Just did not work and they didn't have a scratch on their glasses, they were just dirty. Do not recommend at all be aware
I JUST SPENDED MY TIME ON SOME TRASH
'spent'
didn't work for cd's back in the day still won't work for glasses.
Thank you so much Bro
The only thing that happen was my glasses didn't get any cavities.
Ha ! Great comment !
I tried this and it doesn’t work
This process does not work. I tried 3 times, scratches still there.
I'm not taking any Chances-
As a qualified optician I can confirm this is absolutely nonsense!
Scratches CANNOT be repaired but only replaced.
I wish TH-cam would stop these idiotic videos
You forgot charcoal sand paper and baking
This does not work!
Personally I hate all videos with no explanatory voice-over. :(
you shouldn't do this it makes the lens more worse!!
Guys please don't try this at home.
It will destroy the lenes. If you have scratches in your lenes please replace it. Minor scratches doesn't affect the vision.
Peace ☮️.
Plastic glasses it doesn't work I tried many times.....
Cant see how the glasses turned out for the add the put over the screen of the video! Darn These ads are out of control!
Go thru some doctors advise & never ever even see this type of program
It doesn’t work
559k views it has to be true.
It’s worse than before
lol
I TRIED IT AND IT DOES NOT WORK.
Please don't do this to your glasses guys, baking soda will destroy your lenses. This video is edited, glasses never had any scratches on them.
Nothing happened to my glass
Nothing cleansd
Didn't work
Tried and it didn't work. So sad.
Does NOT work. But my glasses are minty fresh.
DOES NOT WORK
This never works
Minty fresh
If your glasses are scratched, the best way is to just take them off so you don't save the scratches.😁
What’s that salt and baking soda?? You don’t even post or say or type what you use.
Don’t work
Simple visit your local optician to replace the lenses.
Isnt that expensive?
But how do I legitimately get rid of scratches
You can’t.
Does this even work
No. It does not. It will ruin your lenses.
This is totally fake... .
At the beginning of video, threre is no scratch on the glass it's just only dust .. and he just wash them off.... Don't do this...
I did this, it DID NOT help remove scratches
Bad advice. Never use toothpaste. Use baking soda only and use minimal pressure circular movements and do bits by bit while checking and repeating. Avoid too much abrasion.
Does it work or no!!??
is real video is bro
as a fake glasses user this is annoying becous the plastic is so fragtile
am just joking oki
See
Does this work?
Honestly idek, people are saying it works and it doesn’t so I’m confused myself
