I truly appreciate the video! I have replaced the front passenger door handle thanks to you! I would like to suggest chewing gum in the 10mm socket to keep it from falling in the door. I did chew a couple of pieces of gum and used that as a temporary adhesive (old coon ass cajun trick) to hold the bolts from falling. Thank you again. The video gave me the confidence to knock it out quick! God Bless you!

Thanks to TH-cam and to this video, I saved $250! That's right! Two hundred and fifty dollars the GMC dealer was going to charge me!!! The OEM door handle was $109. Did the job in less than an hour! Kudos to all involved in making this video.

Great instructional video, just changed my 2013 passenger side door handle in about a half hour, bought a door panel remover tool for $15 at Amazon, which helped immensely, even an amateur can do it.
Good video BUT what I had to do was figure out that there is an adjustment, when I first installed the handles, when I pulled it it was a little jiggly some were tighter some looser ,if you search on TH-cam or anywhere else, nobody tells you this you can adjust the handle the rod that goes to the handle, so put the handle in ,install it see how much slop you have take it back out and adjust the rod by turning it counterclockwise I think I did , this adjustment would probably be for Amazon or OEM as well. Just got this done. Easy. Just be careful when prying the panel by the top clip. I broke a plastic white bracket other than that all good. Thanks for the video!

Thanks for the direction. Bought the handle from 1A. Worked fine as long as you don't take out 2 wrong bolts, then lose one in the depths of the door. Took a little while to recover, but worked out fine.

Good price on the door handles, replaced all 4 from A1Auto. BUT!!! Just keep in mind the parts aren't made to last. Mine lasted about a year and a half before experiencing issues. Examples... rear left after about a year started getting hard to open. Took apart just as to be sure it might have been an error on my part, but after triple checking along with the video tutorial, all looked fine, have to replace as it's getting worse. Then rear right broke after just over a year. So just keep in mind it may not last as long as original parts.

I had my handles replaced awhile back and they have gotten harder and harder to open. You have to pull two or three times really hard to get them to open now. What can cause that on all the handles except the drivers door?

I did what you said and the latch on outside loose and still wont open door... I think my rod might be bent but how do I know... can find pic of what it should be like... 07 gmc Yukon xl passage front door.
I did this on my 07' Cadillac escalade passenger side and everything was put back correctly but whenever I go to lock it with the key fob, the door does not open. neither the inside nor outside door handle will open the door. I keep having to unlock it manually with a rod through the window panel. Any ideas on why this is happening?

Thanks for your video. However, I made a mistake and took off the screw from the behind the top rubber plug instead of the bottom one (shown at 5:49 in the video). A sort of 4 inch long rectangular steel piece came off. I think it is called the Rear Retainer - GM (15876169) and is to guide the window. I can't figure out how to put it back on or see how it was connected. Does anyone know how it is screwed on or know where I can find a diagram of the inside of the door? Thanks.
Hello, my sons Silverado handle basically pulled out of the housing. The fixture is still attached to the door and is in good shape. Simply the actual lever came off. Does this mean the entire lever and housing for the door handle needs to be replaced? Or possible a way to hit back on working without costly repairs?

Anyone have an idea what size bolt is holding the handle on? My handle is fine, but the bolt is not. I know it's a 10mm just not the length or where to get it.

New handles arrived without lube on the spring. Add some white lithium grease to the tools list.

Thanks for your video. However, I made a mistake and took off the screw from the behind the top rubber plug instead of the bottom one (shown at 5:49 in the video). A sort of 4 inch long rectangular steel piece came off. I think it is called the Rear Retainer - GM (15876169) and is to guide the window. I can't figure out how to put it back on or see how it was connected. Does anyone know how it is screwed on or know where I can find a diagram of the inside of the door? Thanks.
Hello, my sons Silverado handle basically pulled out of the housing. The fixture is still attached to the door and is in good shape. Simply the actual lever came off. Does this mean the entire lever and housing for the door handle needs to be replaced? Or possible a way to hit back on working without costly repairs?

Anyone have an idea what size bolt is holding the handle on? My handle is fine, but the bolt is not. I know it's a 10mm just not the length or where to get it.
