Everyone is whining about CM Punk who defended himself and took his "shot" AFTER the show. After the money was paid, effort given, and the kayfabe was over. Adam Page took his while the camera was on and started this garbage. With that said, AEW will pop a 1.4 million tomorrow night for the first time since their first Dynamite, and all will be fine, no matter how many internet elite fans cry harder on Reddit and Twitter.
Punk said I'm trying to run a business, meaning the business of CM Punk. When wrestlers start a program or storyline with another wrestler, they use the term "going into business" with that person or doing business with them. He wasn't saying I'm trying to run AEW. That would be insanely disrespectful and beyond egomaniacal to say in front TK. He was referring to the business he was doing with Adam Page and the fact that Page blindsided him by cutting a promo about how he has to protect AEW from Punk and that he's a cancer in the locker room. Insinuating he politic'd Colt Cabana off of AEW, which is why Punk felt insulted. By pulling that shoot on Punk without warning right before their title fight is also why Punk thought it was unprofessional and endangered their box office draw. Because if you blindside me with a shoot promo about how you really feel about me being here and I hear your buddies are leaking lies to the dirt sheets that I got Colt Cabana off of AEW, I'm not fucking with you. Especially if I never had a problem with you guys and you're only doing this because you're buddies with Colt Cabana and you guys think you run this place.
Nick Kahn has zero control of what’s going on. That’s what happens when a mark try’s to run a wrestling promotion. Imagine a single wrestler doing this at wwe….immediately fired.
Let me ask ya this. You think this media scrum took away from MJF vs Punk story?????? How's this for interest... MJF beats Punk..... It's ok. How's about MJF the worst Evil person in the world brings Colt Cabana to screw Punk out of the title... CM Punk set the table pretty well. Also the Elite wont help PUNK when MJF's crew beats on Punk. This was perfect. Punk is still a face. Elite still faces but crowd won't start cheering for Omega to help Punk. There's nobody aside from other WWE guys in the BCC.....
Look Sam. Phil favorite wrestler this stage of his life is Bret Hart . This is a great example of real life and next stage of wrestling . also u noticed hunter having post press conference.. this is Guinness level shit like Bret Hart the Montreal work
It was a fucking shambles Tony should of shut that down. What they could do is have punk manipulate or “bully” khan into paying off MJF’s group into turning on him and joining Punk and maybe have MJF get the AEW guys against Punk’s guys I don’t know lol 🤷♂️🤷♂️
I was honestly thinking the same Sam. I was thinking Punk was jealous about MJF getting all the cheers from his fans in Chicago. So he prob just went off to stir the pot and make people forget about MJF.
The Elite were going to walk. Where to? All the bigger bridges got burnt in the rise of AEW. WWE? Do they still shake hands there? They gonna give Cody a call? 🤣
This is the butterfly buckaroos fault, for throwing a fit over...Colt Cabana?!! Cabana basically was a mime and background filler for the dork order, a jobber group?!!!🤦♂️
Seems like the men's locker room needs some therapy!! If everyone is out for themselves then wouldn't the company fail becasue shouldn't the company want team work!? 🤷♀️🤷♀️ and people say women are full of egos .... seems the men have more of it!!
WHat are you talking about? When did Kenny went out and do a return speech based on Punk? Source? If you stay silent then it means you were talking crap. If you provide a source and it holds true then I'll be surprised and thank you with happiness that you delivered.
Whatever is happening in AEW whether its a Work or Not, its still considered as publicity. And any kind of Publicity is Good publicity.... As Eric Bishoff's book title says "Controversy Creates Cash"....
This was sloppy booking all the way. The Punk/Moxley storyline was trash.. Now you have all this mess going on. Is it so hard to understand that AEW doesn't have a booking team nor does it have a clear direction? Stop with the "it's a work" BS. This clearly shows how amateur the AEW staff is. They can't even book things properly. Bringing MJF back to "save the day" just proves why they are struggling way too much to stay in course.
This is why AEW will never be better than WWE. They had probably the best return with MJF and obviously they put a lot of time and effort into that. Now, MJF is an afterthought because Tony Khan can't control his own company. I kept saying Khan was an idiot that couldn't have been smart enough to make an angle out of what happened with MJF but I was wrong. This was a work all along and kudos to Khan for pulling that off. TK has let all the EVPs do and say whatever they want and also CM Punk. Punk is a very smart guy who knows Khan won't suspend him or fire him and he knows what the backstage and online perception of him are. And to Punk's credit, he doesn't give a damn about any of that and uses that to his advantage. I think Punk has a valid point and legit reasons to knock Adam Page and Omega/The Bucks. But Khan needs to put rules into place that have consequences if not followed and that should include Punk and the EVPs too. This is why Cody Rhodes left AEW because he saw all of this happening with the EVPs and Khan losing control. AEW let real life issues overshadow the great business they'd built with Punk/MJF and Khan/MJF. That's WCW 2000 level dumb business.
What pissed me off is Punk is dropping bombs & the stupid ppl asking questions couldn't think fast enough on their feet to dig into it and kept going back to their stupid scripts...

They need to let him go pay his contract and go Tony has the money it’s best for AEW it won’t be around in a 1 if not
You should interview Rene Dupree
So Punk is mad because he's not the only one going into business for themselves? Lol
TARGET IS THE BEST STORE
I was embarrassed for TK. especially with Punk referring to himself as "...trying to run a wrestling company."
Tony*
@@BrianIngham I think he was talking about Kahn from Star Trek
AEW is second to WWE Mark or not we haven’t had Legit options in 20 years
Punk had to steal the thunder
This is who Punk is. It makes him a fascinating talent but if you can't control him he will take over.
And Tony gotta get control of his EVP's.
Look, I'll just come out and say it
I stand with Danhausen's boots.
More monies!!
There's nobody aside from other WWE guys in the BCC.....
i watched every punk/hangman promo and i don't even remember the line in question. feels like aew is walking on punkshells
Look Sam. Phil favorite wrestler this stage of his life is Bret Hart . This is a great example of real life and next stage of wrestling . also u noticed hunter having post press conference.. this is Guinness level shit like Bret Hart the Montreal work
"Guinness level shit"?
It was a fucking shambles Tony should of shut that down. What they could do is have punk manipulate or “bully” khan into paying off MJF’s group into turning on him and joining Punk and maybe have MJF get the AEW guys against Punk’s guys I don’t know lol 🤷♂️🤷♂️
I was honestly thinking the same Sam. I was thinking Punk was jealous about MJF getting all the cheers from his fans in Chicago. So he prob just went off to stir the pot and make people forget about MJF.
Eddie and Sammy, another missed opportunity, Tony needs to hire somebody that knows how to market this shit, and make money with it !!!
The Elite were going to walk. Where to? All the bigger bridges got burnt in the rise of AEW. WWE? Do they still shake hands there? They gonna give Cody a call? 🤣
12:21 If, Ron did say that then the C.E.O of Sirus would absolutely love the drama as it makes money 💵 💵 💵 💵 💵 💵 💵 💵 💵 💵 💵 💵 💵 💵 💵 💵
you gonna cover AEW more or just when it's good for your bosses
Target Managers can make Six Figures
I don’t care what jon moxley’s little brother thinks.
This is the butterfly buckaroos fault, for throwing a fit over...Colt Cabana?!! Cabana basically was a mime and background filler for the dork order, a jobber group?!!!🤦♂️
Ik Punk is straight edge and all but my god he needs too just smoke a joint and relax lmao
Mox is better on this podcast thing hehe notsam looks like Mox big time
Seems like the men's locker room needs some therapy!! If everyone is out for themselves then wouldn't the company fail becasue shouldn't the company want team work!? 🤷♀️🤷♀️ and people say women are full of egos .... seems the men have more of it!!
This is all Cabana’s fault, suing CM Punk years ago. What kind of a friend does that?
Cm punk is destroying AEW in only 1 year vince russo likes this
Is not Sam allowed to talked about a non WWE wrestling company since he is a known paid WWE SHILL 🤔
The way MJF returned was not a good payoff for why he left. The audio clip was a lazy way to tie this loose end.
Kenny return speech was about punk so punk has every right the elite suck
WHat are you talking about? When did Kenny went out and do a return speech based on Punk? Source? If you stay silent then it means you were talking crap. If you provide a source and it holds true then I'll be surprised and thank you with happiness that you delivered.
Was it not enough that you already trashed the man for years, now you got to steal Scorch's look too?
Drama pays a lot .$$$$$
Doesn't this bald guy work for wwe? Lmao
Whatever is happening in AEW whether its a Work or Not, its still considered as publicity. And any kind of Publicity is Good publicity.... As Eric Bishoff's book title says "Controversy Creates Cash"....
bro... seven minutes in and you've said nothing but the same thing over and over .... jesus
Punk is losing his mind
Lad u doing something not WWE related
This was sloppy booking all the way. The Punk/Moxley storyline was trash.. Now you have all this mess going on.
Is it so hard to understand that AEW doesn't have a booking team nor does it have a clear direction? Stop with the "it's a work" BS. This clearly shows how amateur the AEW staff is. They can't even book things properly. Bringing MJF back to "save the day" just proves why they are struggling way too much to stay in course.
And yet everyone today is only talking about AEW
We’ll see how smart TK really is - the most compelling of stories has just fallen in his lap….
Bro you just repeating what Jim Corny would say. This is not 2000 WCW
you look like mox cousin
OMEGA AND THE BUCKS PLUS ALL OF THEIR FRIENDS ARE WHATS WRONG WITH AEW. CMON THEY ACTUALLY LOST VIEWERS ON OMEGAS RETURN SEGMENT LOL
What pissed me off is Punk is dropping bombs & the stupid ppl asking questions couldn't think fast enough on their feet to dig into it and kept going back to their stupid scripts...
