After this video being out for a bit, I wanted to clarify some things that weren't mentioned in the video: - Don't use any random shield, use the Pot Lid like I mentioned, otherwise you won't get enough carrots (I know that sounds really weird lol) - When I say "save your game and don't save at any point", what I mean is save your casual playthrough, then don't manually save at any point afterwards while performing the glitch. - The Omegabow will take the durability of the bow in the first slot that was in your inventory on your casual playthrough and replace it. If you wish to replenish it's durability, you can use menu overloading for that (of which I may make a tutorial about in the future), the Omegabow counts as a multishot bow so it can be used for overloading. - Do not reload your casual playthrough while you're doing the glitch as it may mess things up. If you mess up in any way during the glitch, close your game and try again. - The Omegabow and the Omega Axe can be any Bow/Weapon, you just have to replace it with your desired bow/weapon on the final reload (or the reload where you want a powerful melee weapon) I hope this helps all future Omegabow enjoyers! :)

i have done hundreds of glitches in BOTW, but this is by far the best one I've done. it completely works as long as you've done it right, and is definitely worth it in the end. plus all the extra carrots are worth over thirty thousand rupees.
Part of this glitch is just prompt entanglement, there are meals that don’t require prompt entanglement, such as 1 dragon horn from each dragon, 1 fairy, and 1 palm fruit, which will give you Attack up 105 Spread Shot x10 Critical Hit and Long Throw
I tried this kinda the same way yesterday at 2 am in my house. I just went to the kitchen, grabbed two apples and ate all dishes but the one on the counter. After cooking two simmered pots of exactly one apple, I picked up one of the pots in my kitchen just as i was about to select the preheat function on my oven. Then, surprisingly, on my second try, i got the microwave to select the silent mode while unequipping my kitchen knife! wow, that drop was loud. After running back and forth between the living room and the kitchen multiple times, scrolling through my recipe book and eating 16 more plates of undercooked sour fruit, i finally got the omegalul!
The Bow of Light only gets up to 220 damage per arrow. But Ancient Bow can deal the most damage. When you have Ancient Proficiency, a tier 3 attack boost and do headshots, you can kill a golden lynel with a single shot (and only 9 of the 10 arrows).
@@_maltedurability is a problem though. i don't want to carry a million ancient bows in my inventory, just having two bows of light, one normal and one overpowered, is enough.
i like how almost none of this glitch has anything to do with the bow villager: hey what ya doing? link: making a bow. villager: by cooking apples? link: i don't know! but i get a bow after this somehow! trust the process!

I was just trying to find a simple way to start off learning glitches without spending literal hours of my life and not understanding any of it, and this video was ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT it was super descriptive and easy to follow, honestly 99/10. Its a great tutorial for those who are starting to get into more advanced glitches.
Ok who freaking thought: I’m gonna complete the entire tutorial and do some VERY specific instructions and duplicate to 999 roasted endura carrots so I can cook 4 OF THEM and then eat almost every single simmered fruit but leave ONLY 6 and also do a very complex shield trick and a quick input code to create an overpowered bow

This reminds me of the conspiracy theories surrounding Luigi being in Mario 64. People would make up random things you have to do to get him to show up. I know each part of this is actually corrupting and manipulating the character data in some designed way, but holy crap -- without an explanation of what each step is doing, I feel like I'm being rickrolled.
I wanna point out that this recipe also includes the durability up modifier but it doesn't actually increase the max durability. It just tricks the part of the game that gives the sparkle. If your bow/weapon was brand new and shiny, it will lose it's sparkle but it doesn't lose any durability. The game just thinks it's max durability was higher than it actually was, which is why it loses it's sparkle. Hope that clears up any confusion on how your equipment was suddenly damaged after this glitch. It's still brand new so don't fret
Definitely follow this to a T. Also do NOT use eggs!!! I messed up the slot breaking and when the egg fell it broke so i couldnt pick it up and try again. I just reloaded my previous save but i had already broke 4 slots. This resulted in every one of my slots being empty after buying the hylian hood. I had to restart completely.
If you want to keep your weapons after getting rhe OmegaAxe, but they keep disappearing, make sure on your main save you've completed "Hylian Homeowner" and have an open weapon mount for both the Axe and the Bow. You may not keep your carrots or arrows, but the weapons on the mount will still be there. Hope this helps.
That last step, that very last step, eat all the food except for the endurance carrots, then reload the main save...I thought eating the food was optional. Whelp, time to do it all over again tommorow!
btw if you are planning to do this glitch i suggest getting the bomb arrows below the stasis shrine, you should see a boko camp and a cave with a wooden fence. Inside it there are bomb arrows. so instead of the couple thousand of regular arrows and ancient arrows you get thousands of bomb arrows and ancient arrows
DON'T GET OTHER ARROW TYPES OTHER THAN THE ONES SUGGESTED IN THE VIDEO. This is because the method in this video relies upon having only normal and ancient. Bomb arrows work differently so will net you an unintended result. So it's best to use only normal and ancient.
PLEASE READ MY COMMENT BEFORE ATTEMPTING. At the VERY beginning DO NOT OPEN THE CHESTS TO GET THE ARMOUR AND DONT PICK UP ANY ARMOUR IN GENERAL. It ruins the entire run and you won’t be able to do the shop glitch or any glitches after that. Make sure that spot in your inventory stays completely blanked out because if it’s not you need to restart completely. I didn’t know until it was too late DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.

Any time I get to the endurance carrot part the don’t stack up into 999 they just stack up by ones each taking up a slot is their a fix (at around 8:20)
that's because you didn't eat the endura carrot after cooking the 2 apples when trying to get invalid storage, just make sure to follow the steps EXACTLY, except with the bow and weapon you want to corrupt, as long as you don't want to corrupt the bow of light, as this tutorial involves dropping the bow you want to corrupt
@imaturtlbro did you have a different arrow type or shield type? I tried it with electric arrows and it didn't work. Maybe you have a different arrow type.
The glitch works well but only if you follow every step exactly like he did so follow the glitch very carefully. It took me a couple tries but now I have the omega bow aswell.
I wanna attempt it but my god that’s a lot lol. I’m happy with doing the bomb fly thing and duplication glitch. Kudos to you if you figured out how to do this, I have no idea how people figure all this out. Maybe it has something to do with looking at coding or something idk, but this is amazing
It's quite tricky but I believe in you! Nothing bad will happen if you wanna give it a try, just so long as you close your game before reloading your original playthrough if you mess up
I messed it up :( I ended up with a bunch of single Stacks of endura carrots, I think it was because I dropped an axe instead of a shield towards the end, idk I might try again but that took hours
I'm mostly a casual who hasn't played in a while... but if I Remember right when I killed a few different things specifically I remember killing a lynel and when I used the ancient arrow I didn't get any of the loot drops from him... is that not, right? Yeah Ancient arrows insta-kill all enemies except minibosses and actual bosses, but you lose all the potential drops you can get from them. You can insta-kill guardians with ancient arrows and you will recieve their drops. I think this is what you're asking? Hope this helps

Yes you can do this on Master Mode. Just make sure you make the manual save on your normal master mode playthrough before doing the glitch. Then you can rely on the one autosave slot for the glitch, just make sure it doesn't get overwritten when you don't want it to, which most likely won't happen because you usually have to reload straight after getting autosaves throughout the process
Yep, but getting those would likely create too many autosave and make you lose youor noormal game progress. Ive heard you can set the console's date an few days in the future, create the manual save on normal game, set it to normal date, and continue the glitch from there. This would keep your normal game save file always at the top, so you wouold be able to du much more on the glitching file.
This just really feels like those old forum posts about glitches and hacks in games that are so obviously fake! But maybe all those people were right all along, we just weren't good enough to replicate them!
I've tried bugging botw on one playthrough, where i overloaded the game and tried to learn some movement bugs This is a whole nother level of trying to Skyrim the game
I have a bunch of questions 1. How does this glitch work? 2. Why do the weapons gain increased attack with this? 3. How'd people discover this? 4. What happens if I don't manually save in my normal game?
This glitch has many things at play. But the short way of explaining is that some of the item’s “properties” are displaced onto a different item. So the properties of certain meals are displaced onto weapons, which corrupts their modifiers into something crazy. People discovered this by generally understanding how the underlying system/code for BotW works, after that they’re able to deduce certain ways of changing the way the game views properties of your inventory and game data and using various tricks that were discovered in order to do so. If you don’t manual save your normal playthrough then you’ll just maintain the last manual save you made, which may or may not be from a long while ago. I mentioned to manual save so that you can return from where you left off in your normal with the omegabow after you’ve finished the glitch Hope this answers your questions! If you want some really in-depth explanations on the glitch, I have other resources that I can send you via discord or whatever you like, just send me a DM and I’d be happy to share
Apologies for the...rude entrance but the modifiers are given because of the paramaters in the code, the one that causes this insane glitch is oddly the cost of the food. Let's take a food that costs 60 rupees. In the code, this is written as decimal notation. It's then converted to hexadecimal notation, which would be 3C. It is then converted to binary, which is 111100 This binary is shifted off to the weapons with your corrupted material slots. In order, the values for each modifier, as well as what value they're given are as follows: Shield Guard Up (0), Surf Up (0), Quick Shot (0), Zoom (1), Multi-Shot (1), Long Throw (1), Critical Hit (1), Defence Up (0), Attack Up (0) Since this is read left to right, this would create a sword with long throw and critical hit, or more impressively, a bow with zoom and a 10 multi-shot, which are not spread shots, so it is similar to a Duplex Bow
If you’re really worried about losing it, you can back up your game save using Nintendo Switch Online cloud saves which you can restore to your game. I’ve never done it before but I’m sure there are some guides on it somewhere. But it’s only risky if you feel like you might do it by accident, in which case I would recommend making a cloud save.
That was confusing as hell. The ad for this was some guy talking about Genshin Impact. I was not really paying attention at first, I thought it was the actual video, but wondered why cryonis was freezing patches of water instead of making pillars and why Link was now some generic Hentai girl. I wondered for a moment if there was some DLC I never heard of. Then the skip ad button appeared.
Also, this works if you go, save if you wanna keep it on normal, then just switch to master mode, then once in un equip and reequip every thing to keep it. Ye. Also tysm i got the omega soldiers bow
Something went wrong. I guess I sorted my inventory when I wasn't supposed to or something. Instead of my inventory looking like how it did at 7:32 with 10 food slots empty, the whole food inventory was full. The slots that were supposed to be empty plus 2 other slots just had simmered fruit that healed 0 hearts.
This sounds nearly identical to the old playground/internet myths like “how to unlock Luigi in SM64” or other things like that. I’m still not convinced this video is real lol
I uh...might have given myself a pot lid with 241 durability? I think I pressed quick menu twice at some point and it scuffed it. But hey, 241 pot lid!
once you get used to IST, duplicating items like fairies becomes super easy, plus skipping the plateau with 999 fairies and the paraglider becomes super easy with once you are used to IST
BE. INCREDIBLY. CAREFUL. i was almost done but while we were supposed to reload i accidentally manually saved the game because i clicked without reading and now my entire casual play through with 50+ hours is gone
Once you've made the omega bow, if you reload back into your old game do you still have it? Or do you have to play the game all over again now that you have the bow?
to whoever is trying to do this just follow the guide to the T i spent my time trying to get the glitch to work with a master sword and a royal bow. it took me 4 hours but it failed miserably. if you're worried about durability just use the durability transfer glitch
I might try this out, although i am a bit scared to somewhat destroy my 100% file with that lol. I already successfully did the bow of light glitch, where you can have it permanantely in your inventory by using the same method, but it was less complicated i feel like. But i really like the travelers bow.... and even more as an Omega bow lol.
I find it insane, that in such a modern and well made game, people were able to find a memory leak and utilize it for arbitrary code execution. You'd expect the ACE only being possible for a TAS to do, since there's so many intricate details, and it'd have to manipulate the game RNG, but the BotW community is just insane I guess.
I don't know what I did to make this happen, but when I did this glitch again for a 125 attack damage traveler's sword, I got the ice cream elixer when I reloaded my main file.

You can actually use any full durability shield. No shield has a durability less than 5 so any shield will work.

That is an ABSURD amount of steps to get this bow. Props to ANYONE with the patience to do it, lol
I really think this is one of the easier methods so far. You can do this from New Game to finish in less then one hour if you have some routine in it.
And then, after about 6 minutes; you look down and all your hard work is in tiny pieces on the floor.
I did it but a longer variant which took about 10 to 12 hours I think but it was worth it 10 shot 220 damage bow light and 130 damage master sword

You can also apply the cluster to the bow of light and do like 250 damage per arrow so 2500 damage. Cluster or spread x10 shot. It’s insane
Really? That didn't work for me unfortunately. Thought this has to do with not able to dropping it after you bought the hood. I'll try it again.

You only had to restart your game than ervry rhing went back to inv and the broken slots disappear

The glitch works well but only if you follow every step exactly like he did so follow the glitch very carefully. It took me a couple tries but now I have the omega bow aswell.

It's quite tricky but I believe in you! Nothing bad will happen if you wanna give it a try, just so long as you close your game before reloading your original playthrough if you mess up
I messed it up :( I ended up with a bunch of single Stacks of endura carrots, I think it was because I dropped an axe instead of a shield towards the end, idk I might try again but that took hours

I'm mostly a casual who hasn't played in a while... but if I Remember right when I killed a few different things specifically I remember killing a lynel and when I used the ancient arrow I didn't get any of the loot drops from him... is that not, right? Yeah Ancient arrows insta-kill all enemies except minibosses and actual bosses, but you lose all the potential drops you can get from them. You can insta-kill guardians with ancient arrows and you will recieve their drops. I think this is what you're asking? Hope this helps

Yes you can do this on Master Mode. Just make sure you make the manual save on your normal master mode playthrough before doing the glitch. Then you can rely on the one autosave slot for the glitch, just make sure it doesn't get overwritten when you don't want it to, which most likely won't happen because you usually have to reload straight after getting autosaves throughout the process
A better way is to do the glitch on normal mode, then do menu item slot transfer to transfer from normal to master mode.

Is it safe to assume that you could do this to the ancient bow or twighlight bow as long as you get rid of the excess materials afterward?
Yep, but getting those would likely create too many autosave and make you lose youor noormal game progress. Ive heard you can set the console's date an few days in the future, create the manual save on normal game, set it to normal date, and continue the glitch from there. This would keep your normal game save file always at the top, so you wouold be able to du much more on the glitching file.

This just really feels like those old forum posts about glitches and hacks in games that are so obviously fake!

4. What happens if I don't manually save in my normal game?
This glitch has many things at play. But the short way of explaining is that some of the item’s “properties” are displaced onto a different item. So the properties of certain meals are displaced onto weapons, which corrupts their modifiers into something crazy.
People discovered this by generally understanding how the underlying system/code for BotW works, after that they’re able to deduce certain ways of changing the way the game views properties of your inventory and game data and using various tricks that were discovered in order to do so.
If you don’t manual save your normal playthrough then you’ll just maintain the last manual save you made, which may or may not be from a long while ago. I mentioned to manual save so that you can return from where you left off in your normal with the omegabow after you’ve finished the glitch

Apologies for the...rude entrance but the modifiers are given because of the paramaters in the code, the one that causes this insane glitch is oddly the cost of the food.
Let's take a food that costs 60 rupees. In the code, this is written as decimal notation. It's then converted to hexadecimal notation, which would be 3C. It is then converted to binary, which is 111100
This binary is shifted off to the weapons with your corrupted material slots. In order, the values for each modifier, as well as what value they're given are as follows:
Shield Guard Up (0), Surf Up (0), Quick Shot (0), Zoom (1), Multi-Shot (1), Long Throw (1), Critical Hit (1), Defence Up (0), Attack Up (0)
Since this is read left to right, this would create a sword with long throw and critical hit, or more impressively, a bow with zoom and a 10 multi-shot, which are not spread shots, so it is similar to a Duplex Bow

If you’re really worried about losing it, you can back up your game save using Nintendo Switch Online cloud saves which you can restore to your game. I’ve never done it before but I’m sure there are some guides on it somewhere. But it’s only risky if you feel like you might do it by accident, in which case I would recommend making a cloud save.

Something went wrong. I guess I sorted my inventory when I wasn't supposed to or something. Instead of my inventory looking like how it did at 7:32 with 10 food slots empty, the whole food inventory was full. The slots that were supposed to be empty plus 2 other slots just had simmered fruit that healed 0 hearts.
This might be because you reloaded too many times so it added more meals than you needed

Not only does he teach you how to get the omega bow he also teaches you how to IST
once you get used to IST, duplicating items like fairies becomes super easy, plus skipping the plateau with 999 fairies and the paraglider becomes super easy with once you are used to IST

Bro some how I got 700 fairies from being on one heart and drowning which made me use a fairy and then I reloaded and got 700 fairies…
Once you've made the omega bow, if you reload back into your old game do you still have it? Or do you have to play the game all over again now that you have the bow?
to whoever is trying to do this just follow the guide to the T i spent my time trying to get the glitch to work with a master sword and a royal bow. it took me 4 hours but it failed miserably. if you're worried about durability just use the durability transfer glitch

I might try this out, although i am a bit scared to somewhat destroy my 100% file with that lol. I already successfully did the bow of light glitch, where you can have it permanantely in your inventory by using the same method, but it was less complicated i feel like. But i really like the travelers bow.... and even more as an Omega bow lol.
Set ur system date and time to a month ahead save then go back to current and then do it, your save will not get lost

I find it insane, that in such a modern and well made game, people were able to find a memory leak and utilize it for arbitrary code execution. You'd expect the ACE only being possible for a TAS to do, since there's so many intricate details, and it'd have to manipulate the game RNG, but the BotW community is just insane I guess.

I don't know what I did to make this happen, but when I did this glitch again for a 125 attack damage traveler's sword, I got the ice cream elixer when I reloaded my main file.
Had to check the date to make sure this wasn't an April fool's joke.
My bow despawned after trying to get the omega axe too. That was my second attempt lets go start all over again.
