In terms of favorite weapons, the Great Flameblade is definitely up there for me. It can: -Start fires for updrafts -Start fires under an overhang to skip rainfall -Burnlock enemies -Act as a level of cold resistance for freezing areas -Solve fire-related puzzles -Insta-kill ice enemies -Be used in Death Mountain without burning up -Set up rapid damage burn traps for enemies in the grassy areas It also has good damage (especially considering the elemental bonus), good durability (only 10 less than the champion's weapons), and is incredibly easy to re-acquire once you know where to get one.
Fire weapons also melt ice by only standing next to it. Even sheathed. Arguably camp fires are faster. Or slashing at the ice with the fire weapon. But in trial of the sword it helps to use time instead of durability or camp fires (which use up fire weapon durability too)
Near Gerudo tower. If you spawn on it run to the top right corner behind you (Its Southwest on the map) and jump off, glide to the mountain side there and climb. On top of it is a small hill who's entrance is blocked by two rocks. Use Stasis to hit these rocks away and you have access to the Gerudo Secret Stash. It holds a Gerudo Spear, Golden Bow, Moonlight Scimitar and Shield and an Edge of Duality. The weapons respawn every Bloodmoon, but not the chests.
if you durability duplicate the ancient bows durability onto the savage lynel bow then youll have a really really good bow. you can also just duplicate the lynel bow to get more savage lynel bows with really high durability
Why would you need to dupe Savage Lynel Bows, I dont know if its just me but Im always overclogged with bows and can ever break em all before I get more so I have to discard the damaged ones. Im litwrally usong Dragone Bones and Yiga bows to be able to have 0 Bows.

If you ever wanted to have a bow that shoots at light speed than the Royal guards bow with quick shot is a go to. It has trash durability but transfer over 120 durability using the ancient bow and you’ll have a lot of fun.
Honestly Daruk is the most based champion to simp for. Mipha is standard, Urbosa is if you have mommy issues, and Revali is if you're an edgelord. Daruk is just a big strong dude with a bigger heart who smashes things to pieces.
Ok but the great eagle bow is actually a strong contender for strongest weapon in category unlike the other champion’s weapon. It’s a solid stats tri shot bow that actually has range unlike the savage lynel bow so it serves as a middle ground between the ancient bow and the savage lynel bow. Fairly effective at all ranges where as the savage lynel bow is dominant at close range while being one of the worst long range bows and the ancient bow being one of the best long range bows while having lower effectiveness up close. It’s certainly worth carrying at least and the rest of your bow slots being used by a mix of ancient and savage lynel bows. Personally I’d say it’s at least better then the savage lynel bow as why are you using a bow for close range in the first place when you can just smack them though I’d prefer ancient bow most of all of the easily accessible ones
i would say the savage lynel bow is useful when you have a bunch of enemies dealing with an element you can shoot them with regular arrows for extra damage while they can’t attack, or use a great frostblade and shoot em with fire arrows
Actually, Lynels really aren’t hard to kill late game. Once you kill one, the gear and multi aim accompanied with a ton of bomb arrows being tanked over and over at the face means that a moderately skilled player can make quick work of even the strongest silver and gold variants. I love the equipment because it’s amazing but also goes well with the barbarian armor set, so you can ✨ look good ✨while killing absurd amounts of moblins and doing your monthly shopping trip though hyrule castle. Yeah. You could basically use the multiple arrows with a high level attack enhancement to basically shred a lynels health. Too bad that strategy doesn't work as well in TOTK (at least, it doesn't for me).

My Go-To set is actually pretty simple. I always run with Hylian Hood + Champion's Tunic with Ancient Greaves. For Cold I swap into Snowquill Tunic, for Death Mountain I swap to Flamebreaker Greaves, and for Desert I swap to Sapphire Circlet.
Fun thing to do with the lizal boomerangs: Use it in a thunderstorm, and throw it with such timing that lightning will strike it at the moment it hits the enemy. If you got balls, do it without the thunder helm or rubber suit either.
I’ve always preferred weapon speed to damage output in games. Love spears, love single handed swords. Even in a game like Monster Hunter, I prefer duel blades cause I can move around faster with them. Anyway, the best weapon is the drillshaft, me love stab rock, very satisfying.

So I wasn't the only one that noticed that. A few of the weapons actually look like a weapon another Link used in other Zelda games. Traveler Bow, for example, looks like the bow Link used in Twilight Princess.
Honest to God the Torch is my favorite weapon. It's just so damn practical. My favorite way to play the game is without hitting enemies directly, so setting up fire traps or throwing a lit torch at a group of enemies with a ton of flammable shit nearby is the best. I'd say Flameblade would be better but A, they're a lot harder to come by, and B, they don't spread fire after being thrown.

I love stasis, the ability to reset an enemy mid attack is fantastic for killing guardians as right before they blast, hit them with stasis to mentally reboot them. Also lets you get a chain or 2 off on an enemy before they can react/counter.

My favorite weapon WOULD be the fierce deity sword, but I don’t have the amiibo. For what I do have, the master sword is my favorite purely because it won’t break and just needs to recharge. As for what that says about me, let’s just say I prefer durability up over a weak attack up.

Honest to God the Torch is my favorite weapon. It's just so damn practical. My favorite way to play the game is without hitting enemies directly, so setting up fire traps or throwing a lit torch at a group of enemies with a ton of flammable shit nearby is the best. I'd say Flameblade would be better but A, they're a lot harder to come by, and B, they don't spread fire after being thrown.

@@Little_L ah makes sense since when you glitch it out of the Great Plateau it no longer becomes a 1 hit a obliterator it becomes the weird boogie stick.

I love stasis, the ability to reset an enemy mid attack is fantastic for killing guardians as right before they blast, hit them with stasis to mentally reboot them. Also lets you get a chain or 2 off on an enemy before they can react/counter.

My favorite weapon WOULD be the fierce deity sword, but I don’t have the amiibo. For what I do have, the master sword is my favorite purely because it won’t break and just needs to recharge. As for what that says about me, let’s just say I prefer durability up over a weak attack up.
