you just made a fish sauce!! we in south east Asia made fish sauce just like that, but we put salt in it. we also used the fish sauce to fertilized our crops!
PEOPLE, THIS WORKS !!! I watched this video last year. Spring,I think. Showed my husband & we immediately started some. Used it in our raised beds that had the crappiest soil ever. Fast forward to this spring. Dear Lord, the soil is incredible now ! I cannot express the difference this has made. Thank you, my man ! We've been telling everyone about this. Some of my husband's coworkers & even a few customers are making it now too. Really, I can't thank you enough. I'll just keep paying it forward
You're welcome. To me, the results speak for themselves but obviously your viewers can't see my garden lol. Coming back with a good report was the least I could do. And now that I've had such great success with this experiment, I'm subscribing and checking out your other videos. I'm excited at the possibilities. Good luck with your channel and happy planting !
@@gardenlikeaviking how many times would we use this on our plants? Once a week, twice? I love the information in your videos because you get to the science behind growing! ❤
Mom had a bucket of fish in her garden like this, with a lid, no hose on top. She would dip a little at a time to feed the garden plants,. Dad would bring home fresh supply from his fishing trip at least once a week. We'd eat some and the scraps and little ones went in the bucket or got buried. Free superior plant food!
I can smell that through my phone 😆 When I was a kid, my grandpa would always throw the fish guts after a fishing trip into his compost. He swore this was the secret to his beautiful garden.
I keep all of my veggie and fruit scraps and put it in a 20lb cat litter jug half filled with water. Then when I use it, I pour about about a cup in a gallon of water. I do that every two weeks. I’m also saving all of my egg shells and put them on foil in the oven. So next time I bake, I bake them, too. Then I used my food processor and grind them as finely as possible. Then I put a tablespoon in a Mason jar with half a cup,of vinegar. Put a paper towel on the top with the mason ring. Date it and come back in a week or so. Add that to a gallon or more of water and put it on your garden. Now I’m saving all of my chicken bones and other boil or bake until soft. Then I grind them and will use my food dehydrator for 4-12 hours. Then pound them into powder. That’s your homemade bonemeal!
You just gave me the information I needed for starting a fertilizer business. Thanks! I happen to have a great source of fish to turn into plant food that will actually improve the area by removing invasive fish.
@@Technoanima I'm here to make that happen. I already have aquaponics systems and a living soil organic veggie garden, and I grow bonsai and herbs, all organic. But I am learning how to make my own organic amendments and fertilizers now, hopefully to sell.
I was a just a kid in elementary school when I first heard our teacher talking about Thanksgiving... somewhere in there we learned that the Indians would plant corn 🌽 and bury a fish with it. Has anyone ever heard this story 🤔 ik sure many people have.. I'm 53 now but yea I still very much remember the story!
I recall my mother buried vegetable wastes, fish guts, heads, bones, and discarded part of fishes, in the soil around her banana trees, and jackfruit trees and any trees in the property. Her banana were the biggest and sweetest banana ever found. Her jackfruit trees produced fruits like crazy including fruits oozing out from under the ground by the root area.
God is so good 🥰. My husband just went to the fish market a week or so ago and they filleted the whole fish for him and gave him the scraps. I said let me put it in the freezer bc I want to see if I can make my own fish fertilizer. Now I happen across your video! I'm so going to be making my own. Thank you for sharing this valuable into.
👍👍 In a 50 Gal container, I have fermented rotten fruit, garden clippings with fish, seaweed, crabs and a bit of molasses and a scoop of finished compost. Great info on the leaf mold.
I was like "he is not really going to drink that now, is he?". Great video. I like the water filter on top and the tip that you can keep on adding fish scraps and leaf mold. People can go to their local fish markets and ask them for their scraps like heads, intestines and other fish waste. They'll be happy to get it off their hands.
that's right!.. and one reason the Redwoods in California are so massive is the huge millions of tons of salmon that spawn and die in the rivers each year... the fungi in the soil carry the proteins to the trees
I love this idea ! and I especially love the way you explained how the microbes break up the ingredients and make it bioavailable to the plants. This got me exited to try this. The way I look at it, there are 2 categories of people in this world….1) the people that go through life using things up and not really knowing or caring where their food comes from and how it was grown… 2) the second category of people are the plant and soil (earth nurturing) ones who want to grow plants, create soul life and love and give back to our amazing planet earth. These are the people like you…who also want to pass on this amazing knowledge of how to improve the soul life of our planet 🌎…the end results benefit everyone. ❤️❤️❤️
Plants are just like people! Probably more basic to biochemistry level. People eat meat, vege, fruits, carbohydrates, drinks etc etc. use the teeth to grind the food, get into the stomach, again grinding done plus the acid & enzymes added. The breakdown process of food from the mouth, stomach, intestines into absorbable materials and get absorbed mainly by intestine, really into basic biochemical level into the blood stream & elsewhere for the final availability for body to use in a healthy ways or otherwise such as high cholesterol, fatty liver, atherosclerosis, ……
1 ounce/gallon, got it. Thank you! Really like JADAM methods. Trying to save enough to make JS to kill pests like cabbage loopers, Japanese beetles, squash bugs, vine borers, hornworms etc.
Yes, you are right…..my grandpa smoked fish he would put the tale and bones in my grandmas garden. We ate the heads and eggs. This was years ago during the early 70’s. Hello from Nooksack tribe.✌🏽
Just found you through The Kwak Brothers. So glad I went through the comments. I think I will try this out. My dad puts his fish directly in his garden and it really does well. I had some mackeral and did the same. Unfortunately, dog dug it up months later and I got stuck with a $500 vet bill. This I wll try. Also, OT, you won't regret keeping that washing machine of yours. I have the same one - 25 years now. No way the new ones would last this long. I hope I didn't jinx myself saying this but I have been praising my machine for years now!
yes I have done it both ways and in my experience this is a superior way because it makes the fish proteins spread over a much larger area and nothing to dig up!.... and I completely agree they don't make washing machines like that anymore!.. now they are way over complicated with Wi-Fi and a thousand different options and settings... I just need the machine to get the clothes clean! lol keep it simple
if you want to avoid your dog getting in there again. buy a tug container (like those 30 gallon tubs with the rope handles) fill halfway with soil, fish, and some worms, then add a layer of soil and repeat. jist make sure the top quater of volume is pure soil. give it a couple months and that fish should be just bones. just make sure you cover the tub and keep it out of your dog's reach
I always appreciate people who just want to spread their knowledge. I can feel the passion at 08:00 - fantastic. Learned a lot, and will def spread it further.
Another fantastic video! Some alternatives to the ingredients are as follows: sardines packed in water are available fairly cheaply, especially if your store puts them on sale. They have the skin and bones, so they are just smaller versions of bigger fish that you might pick up somewhere. As for water, if you don’t have rainwater, and don’t want to use tapwater with all of the chemicals in there, Then, if you have either filtered water or a reverse osmosis system, you can use that water, and at least get something without the chemicals in it.
Thank you I don’t have access to any fish so maybe the sardines in water would be good for me. I also started a worm Ben and started growing comfy for fertilizer. As seniors we can’t afford the prices at the garden shops. Great video !
I love the JADAM system, even more so than knf. Teaches you to work with nature and not against her. Regardless of the area you live in. Little tough to get started in my area, the Mojave desert, but it is quite possible, I've used it before to grow and extremely healthy micro food Forest. I've also learned that all animal based proteins can be used in this matter, just some takes longer than others and some require extra carbohydrates to get started. I've seen meat that has gone South and even ruined freezer burned meat used with really good success. If it came from the Earth, it can be returned to the Earth. 🤗 Plus one of my favorite sayings come from the old man that teaches the seminars for jadam, Evidence of what is seen above, is evidence of what is not seen below 🤗
you said it brother "if it came from the earth, it can be returned to the earth".... I'm going to use that saying if you don't mind because it illustrates the point very well... thank you for your input!
What if u ant able to go fishing I wish I had fish I could just go get like this or heck a fish market I could get scraps from but there isn’t one here in our town at all
I caught a lot of little perch and buried them in the middle of my compost pile! I didn’t think I buried it deep enough in the pile so the very next day, less than 24 hours after I put those fish in, I dug to move the fish a little closer to the bottom. I was shocked and totally amazed to find that the fish were already decomposed beyond recognition!!!! That was fast!!!
This is so awesome ! I was hoping you wasn't going to drink that lol . I need to make a big nasty batch of this lol I have been studying Korean Natural Farming all winter and been doing all kinds of really crazy experiments . I have been messing with biochar this year for the first time as well. I like growing with both organic and non-organic methods and learn from both . Thank you so much for sharing !
KNF is wonderful and a lot of fun.... yes biochar is fantastic especially if you inoculate it first with the Indigenous Microorganisms !!.. good luck with it
My grandparents always buried all our fish cleaning scraps a foot down or so next to the compost heap and garden. They were pretty much always the envy of the neighborhood with their giant corn, pumpkins, and sunflowers.
This has got to be the best gardening channel ever. Thank you Mr Viking! I am going to start my buckets this year and let them start fermenting. I wonder if I chopped everything up real fine, or even blended into a slurry, would it break down faster? I don't want to wait 2 years to use.
I fully agree…. The sharing of all this amazing Knowledge in the most enthusiastic way!! ❤️. We need to multiply this energy for our planet and youth to give hope.
you know, i have to give you my upmost respect, struggling in the Philippines on small budget ( American from Midwest small farm - retired on disability raising as single dad 3 American kids ) trying to do small farm , and well the point is your knowledge and how you teach and do videos is awesome and help me so much, so many on you tube do not really teach just want to show off and do not share knowledge. i will be trying both methods to make the fish fertilizer but also will be trying to feed black solider fly larva the fish from the fast method i think i have to check but think i have source of cheep fish offal general santos city is the tuna capital of the world they say -hehe00 just to say thank you again oh the black solider fly is my attempt to raise free range chickens as long term goal. i have started nurturing an area for leaf mold or fungus production, while i find some walking around so often the high rains wash away the soil where the fungus grows just the cost of the hdpe barrels slows me down a bit. a question --- can i make a concreat vessel to make large scale set up to do the fish in ,will it effect the production the fresh cement ? if so i could line with a fish pond liner.
Mr Viking you have a wonderfully compelling presence you've managed to discuss & show something that would usually make my gag reflex jump into overdrive now to do it in the physical I'm sure I'll be heaving with the smell alone. Thankful for the wisdom your sharing sir, much love & hope of acquiring green fingers putting your advice into practice for a real 1st time grower from Glasgow. 💚💫
I am very glad you're here Anna... you can do it!.. especially in Glasgow you'll get great ocean fish and those are the best... let me know if you have any video suggestions for me to do...
I just got into compost tea and EM1. Our soil, sand really, is pathetic in most parts of Florida. This is by far the best video I've seen yet. I'll be setting me up a bucket of fish asap.
This is great. I'd like to experiment using "pest snails" from my aquarium. They're the absolute most hardy snails that break down dead things in my aquarium. They'll survive in all sorts of harsh water conditions including water straight from the tap. The more dead things their are, the more they proliferate.
Thank you for answering comments because it kept me from repeating mine and I got the answer! I currently have mine brewing for next season! Thank you for an informative video.
I think fish from the ocean would be better to use because unless I’m incorrect, they would have a much higher mineral content. Great video I’d love to try making some of this for my garden 🪴
you are absolutely correct fish from the ocean is by far the best option because it has way more minerals... but I am a thousand miles from the ocean so fresh water fish will have to work lol
@@tomfisher3117 no sea salt is added to this brew the Fish JLF... its important we only use sea salt in the JMS because we have to be very clear on how much salt we are adding and applying to the plants so we only want it used with the Microbial Solution...
I guess this is the liquid equivalent for fish, blood and bonemeal that so many gardeners use. More readily taken up by plants and essential for plants in pots which often get watered regularly but feeding too often forgotten. Large potted plants in gardens soon use up all the nutrients in the existing soil and people wonder why they look sick. Great chemistry.
I would be wonderful if you can add jaggery (a coarse dark brown sugar made in India by evaporation of the sap of palm trees) to your fish. It will enhance the process. Been doing these for years now.
You could also use molasses and mix in fulvic or humick acid for fungi growth, molasses will promote bacterial growth. Would add these to mixed up solution, you could even add a some diluted hydrogen peroxide for the oxygen to promote bacterial growth. Just a thought..
fabulous. just subscribed and now binge watching all your videos. i am constantly experimenting to find out what really works, while trying to follow nature as closely as possible. you've already done all the studying and sharing/gifting this amazing information to all us during these desperate times. it's simply brilliant. thank you
In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment. Allah, there is no god but He, the Living, the Eternal. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. He is the Sublime, the Magnificent. The heavens above them almost burst apart, while the angels glorify the praises of their Lord, and ask forgiveness for those on earth. Allah is indeed the Forgiver, the Merciful. 11. Originator of the heavens and the earth. He made for you mates from among yourselves, and pairs of animals, by means of which He multiplies you. There is nothing like Him. He is the Hearing, the Seeing. 12. To Him belongs absolute control of the heavens and the earth. He spreads the bounties to whomever He wills, or reduces it. He is aware of all things. 13. He prescribed for you the same religion He enjoined upon Noah, and what We inspired to you, and what We enjoined upon Abraham, and Moses, and Jesus: “You shall uphold the religion, and be not divided therein.” As for the idolaters, what you call them to is outrageous to them. Allah chooses to Himself whom He wills, and He guides to Himself whoever repents. 111. And say, “Praise be to Allah, who has not begotten a son, nor has He a partner in sovereignty, nor has He an ally out of weakness, and glorify Him constantly.” 59. The likeness of Jesus in Allah’s sight is that of Adam: He created him from dust, then said to him, “Be,” and he was. 1. Say, “He is Allah, the One. 2. Allah, the Absolute. 3. He begets not, nor was He begotten. 4. And there is none comparable to Him.” 6. Say, “I am only a human like you; it is inspired in me that your God is One God. So be upright towards Him, and seek forgiveness from Him.” And woe to the idolaters. 7. Those who do not pay the alms; and regarding the Hereafter, they are disbelievers. 8. As for those who believe and do righteous deeds-for them is a reward uninterrupted. 9. Say, “Do you reject the One who created the earth in two days? And you attribute equals to Him? That is the Lord of the Universe.” 10. He placed stabilizers over it; and blessed it; and planned its provisions in four days, equally to the seekers. 11. Then He turned to the sky, and it was smoke, and said to it and to the earth, “Come, willingly or unwillingly.” They said, “We come willingly.” 12. So He completed them as seven universes in two days, and He assigned to each universe its laws. And We decorated the lower universe with lamps, and for protection. That is the design of the Almighty, the All-Knowing. 30. Do the disbelievers not see that the heavens and the earth were one mass, and We tore them apart? And We made from water every living thing. Will they not believe? 31. And We placed on earth stabilizers, lest it sways with them, and We placed therein signposts and passages, that they may be guided. 32. And We made the sky a protected ceiling; yet they turn away from its wonders. 33. It is He who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon; each floating in an orbit. 34. We did not grant immortality to any human being before you. Should you die, are they then the immortal? 35. Every soul will taste death. We burden you with adversity and prosperity-a test. And to Us you will be returned. 22. And in the heaven is your livelihood, and what you are promised. 23. By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is as true as the fact that you speak. 46. And before that, the people of Noah. They were immoral people. 47. We constructed the universe with power, and We are expanding it. 48. And the earth-We spread it out-How well We prepared it! 49. We created all things in pairs, so that you may reflect and ponder. 50. “So flee towards Allah. I am to you from Him a clear warner.” 51. “And do not set up any other god with Allah. I am to you from Him a clear warner.” 52. Likewise, no messenger came to those before them, but they said, “A sorcerer or a madman.” 53. Did they recommend it to one another? In fact, they are rebellious people. 54. So turn away from them; you are not to blame. 55. And remind, for the reminder benefits the believers. 56. I did not create the jinn and the humans except to worship Me. 57. I need no livelihood from them, nor do I need them to feed Me. 58. Allah is the Provider, the One with Power, the Strong. 59. Those who do wrong will have their turn, like the turn of their counterparts, so let them not rush Me. 60. So woe to those who disbelieve because of that Day of theirs which they are promised. 33. And there is a sign for them in the dead land: We give it life, and produce from it grains from which they eat. 34. And We place in it gardens of palm-trees and vines, and cause springs to gush out of it. 35. That they may eat from its fruits, although their hands did not make it. Will they not be appreciative? 36. Glory be to Him who created all the pairs; of what the earth produces, and of their own selves, and of what they do not know. 37. Another sign for them is the night: We strip the day out of it-and they are in darkness. 38. And the sun runs towards its destination. Such is the design of the Almighty, the All-Knowing. 39. And the moon: We have disposed it in phases, until it returns like the old twig. 40. The sun is not to overtake the moon, nor is the night to outpace the day. Each floats in an orbit. 41. Another sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark. 42. And We created for them the like of it, in which they ride. 43. If We will, We can drown them-with no screaming to be heard from them, nor will they be saved. 44. Except by a mercy from Us, and enjoyment for a while. 45. Yet when it is said to them, “Beware of what lies before you, and what lies behind you, that you may receive mercy.” 46. Yet never came to them a sign of their Lord’s signs, but they turned away from it. 47. And when it is said to them, “Spend of what Allah has provided for you,” those who disbelieve say to those who believe, “Shall we feed someone whom Allah could feed, if He so willed? You must be deeply misguided.” 48. And they say, “When will this promise be, if you are truthful?” 49. All they can expect is a single blast, which will seize them while they feud. 50. They will not be able to make a will, nor will they return to their families. 51. The Trumpet will be blown, then behold, they will rush from the tombs to their Lord. 52. They will say, “Woe to us! Who resurrected us from our resting-place?” This is what the Most Gracious had promised, and the messengers have spoken the truth.” 53. It will be but a single scream; and behold, they will all be brought before Us. 54. On that Day, no soul will be wronged in the least, and you will be recompensed only for what you used to do. 55. The inhabitants of Paradise, on that Day, will be happily busy. 56. They and their spouses, in shades, reclining on couches. 57. They will have therein fruits. They will have whatever they call for. 58. Peace-a saying from a Most Merciful Lord. 59. But step aside today, you criminals. 60. Did I not covenant with you, O Children of Adam, that you shall not serve the devil? That he is your sworn enemy? 61. And that you shall serve Me? This is a straight path. 62. He has misled a great multitude of you. Did you not understand? 63. This is Hellfire, which you were promised. 64. Roast in it today, because you persistently disbelieved. 65. On this Day, We will seal their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify to everything they had done. 66. If We will, We can blind their eyes as they rush towards the path-but how will they see? 67. And if We will, We can cripple them in their place; so they can neither move forward, nor go back. 68. Whomever We grant old age, We reverse his development. Do they not understand? 69. We did not teach him poetry, nor is it proper for him. It is only a reminder, and a Clear Quran. 70. That he may warn whoever is alive, and prove the Word against the faithless. 71. Have they not seen that We created for them, of Our Handiwork, livestock that they own? 72. And We subdued them for them. Some they ride, and some they eat. 73. And they have in them other benefits, and drinks. Will they not give thanks? 74. Yet they have taken to themselves gods other than Allah, that perhaps they may be helped. 75. They cannot help them, although they are arrayed as troops for them. 76. So let their words not sadden you. We know what they conceal, and what they reveal. 77. Does the human being not consider that We created him from a seed? Yet he becomes a fierce adversary. 78. And he produces arguments against Us, and he forgets his own creation. He says, “Who will revive the bones when they have decayed?” 79. Say, “He who initiated them in the first instance will revive them. He has knowledge of every creation.” 80. He who produced fuel for you from the green trees, with which you kindle a fire. 81. Is not He who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like of them? Certainly. He is the Supreme All-Knowing Creator. 82. His command, when He wills a thing, is to say to it, “Be,” and it comes to be. 83. So glory be to Him in whose hand is the dominion of everything, and to Him you will be returned. Read The Quran
I just found this channel .. This is literally what I’m about , and my channel is about as well !! I come from Sardinia , and I absolutely love all of this !!
This wonderful web of harmony between microorganisms could only be done by the hand of God. Glory be to Him. Thank you for enriching us with this information!!!❤
When we cleaned fish, gramps would dig holes in the drip line of his citrus trees for the guts to go in. His trees were noticeably larger and more productive than his neighbors. Of course we loved to fish...
This works with roadkill too. I made deer emulsion with a buck that got hamburgered a few years ago in a 50 gallon drum. Fairwarning though, it stinks really bad. I didnt use leaf mold, i added a 10lb of sugar. It was finished in 3 months.
When you’re making this fertilizer, do you have to put in all the materials at the same time and then seal the bucket to ferment, or would it be okay to open it up and add more stuff over time? I was thinking of doing shrimp shells, but I obviously wouldn’t have half a bucket of shrimp shells at a time 😆
Brand new to your channel...hopped over after seeing your comment on Chris Martenson’s latest. QUESTION: Would it be effective to use my own compost in place of leaf mold in this recipe? The challenge for me is access to forest lea mold, or any leaf mold for that matter.
Happy to have you here my friend!.... yes if its not feasible to acquire the leaf mould then you can use your own homemade compost... just be certain its made in the open air and preferably exposed to direct contact with the ground... if you can go to some areas with wild grass, gather some of that and place into the compost and keep the compost fully covered.... the idea is to get the widest diversity of microorganisms possible... once its mostly broken down then use it in place of leaf mould
I just berry the fish in the garden. I use small fish tiny fish. I just stick it in the garden. along with cow S**t and works perfectly. Make sure you use the cow s**t and the cow dong will break down the fish. I also mix chicken egg shells..WOW this works.
Followed instructions. Used yesterday (4 months old). My children will pass that smell onto my grand children and so on. I will never not hear the buzz of flys again. I hope the plants loved it!
LOL... ya it's pretty intense that's why I recommend the air lock but once you open it the situation escalates quickly!!!... the plants will absolutely love you for it!!
This works pretty well with the inedible waste parts of animal harvesting too. We process our own chickens and small meatstock, so whatever doesn't get packaged up for humans or dogs/cats gets chunked into a bucket for the plants. Hair and feathers are particularly good, being high in proteins to make nitrogen. Our fish trash gets added when we have it. I feel like the more diversity in the ingredients, the better the balance in the finished product.
thats a great way to do it as well... personally I like to ferment ingredients separately then combine them at point of use... but either way yes diversity of microbes is key!
Your voice is very relaxing to listen to. I was pretty stressed out earlier. But I feel more at peace now. Also very cool fish fertilizer recipe. I'm going to have to try this one day. Thank you. 🐟 🌿
I started a fish carcass bucket last summer. I’ve used a little bit here and there for transplants with great results. Today I watered my seedlings with it. Hoping for a banner garden this year 🎉🎉
50 some years ago I tried planting fish underneath the tomatoes in the garden we grew a huge Garden in those days because that's what we lived on and everything was fine I suppose until a bear came in and dug up everything to get at the rotting fish I thought you might enjoy this little thought. One more thing as I live in northern Saskatchewan we have a lot of people go ice fishing and there's fish that we call rough fish that people do not want to eat and they leave them on the ice after they've caught them instead of putting them back which is Criminal as you will agree but anyway you can pick those up if you're in those situations and use them for your fertilizer. That's what I do. Love your show I'm really glad you're on I just discovered you today and I'm so happy to listen to you everybody have a great day and in about 8 months from now as this is early October will be planting our garden in Northern Saskatchewan
..Greetings from across the pond. I have a large allotment with a large Chilli-house with lots of very hungry plants. This is just the thing that they love, and will be making some ASAP for next year. Thanks for great info,

Lol..... you got me with that "NOT" & turning up the cup 🤣😂🤣 thanks that was probably the most valuable tip I've learned watching TH-cam for my gardening tips. Got me to hit the 👍🏽 & 🛎 button
you just made a fish sauce!! we in south east Asia made fish sauce just like that, but we put salt in it. we also used the fish sauce to fertilized our crops!
The Romans did the same, it is called Garum. Some people in Portugal still likes to eat it with meat
I use Fish sauce from Walmart as a fertilizer, and as vitamins for me.
do you put the leaf mold in your fish sauce?
It's not d same because your fish is salty
Yep, thats what he said around the 9:25 mark.

The world needs more organic stuff!
definitely!!!... get you some 55gal drums with tight fitting lids and line them up in a row then let the fermentation business begin!!
@@Technoanima I'm here to make that happen. I already have aquaponics systems and a living soil organic veggie garden, and I grow bonsai and herbs, all organic. But I am learning how to make my own organic amendments and fertilizers now, hopefully to sell.

It has taken 8 years on my spiritual journey to find my guru and alas, here he is…
Thanks for all you do, glad I found you!
This man buries fish when planting watermelon: watch?v=OpGqNg85-50
Your channel is pure gold. Thank you!
thank you I'm happy you are here Athena
I recall my mother buried vegetable wastes, fish guts, heads, bones, and discarded part of fishes, in the soil around her banana trees, and jackfruit trees and any trees in the property. Her banana were the biggest and sweetest banana ever found. Her jackfruit trees produced fruits like crazy including fruits oozing out from under the ground by the root area.
😮wow sound amazing
Ive made this fish fert, the same way as U for yrs, Great job!!!! Let me add the shelf life, GOOD FOR UP TO 5 YRS!!! Is it worth waiting a yr. YES!!!!
God is so good 🥰. My husband just went to the fish market a week or so ago and they filleted the whole fish for him and gave him the scraps. I said let me put it in the freezer bc I want to see if I can make my own fish fertilizer. Now I happen across your video!
I'm so going to be making my own. Thank you for sharing this valuable into.
isn't is beautiful how the right resources come to us at the right moments!!
If you get your fish where there is seaweed or algae you should add some of that too! Seaweed makes a huge difference when I add it to my plants
This is so 👍true! I noticed how big and strong everything grew where the water would run off when cleaning freshly caught fish.
that's right!.. and one reason the Redwoods in California are so massive is the huge millions of tons of salmon that spawn and die in the rivers each year... the fungi in the soil carry the proteins to the trees
this is a lovely observation Judy and you and me are definitely in the second category all the way!

I just need the machine to get the clothes clean! lol keep it simple

fill halfway with soil, fish, and some worms, then add a layer of soil and repeat. jist make sure the top quater of volume is pure soil. give it a couple months and that fish should be just bones. just make sure you cover the tub and keep it out of your dog's reach

Im reading the JADAM book right now. I love it. Thanks for this video, it is very helpful. You got me wanting to leave work and look for fish guts.
Me too! This was the first time my husband didn’t go fishing! Damn sending him out ASAP!
It was the "we don't need to be a slave to the man" for me. Great job explaining 💙
Need the leaf mold to add the microorganisms
Thank you I don’t have access to any fish so maybe the sardines in water would be good for me. I also started a worm Ben and started growing comfy for fertilizer.
As seniors we can’t afford the prices at the garden shops. Great video !
What a beautiful message. THNAK YOU!

That was fast!!!
wow thats extremely fast you must have one very nice and active compost heap!!

Totally! And all his ferment vids help. I use this with the chop and drop, permaculture. What a difference it makes.
The Jadam method suggests a small addition of sea salt for additional minerals.
@@tomfisher3117 no sea salt is added to this brew the Fish JLF... its important we only use sea salt in the JMS because we have to be very clear on how much salt we are adding and applying to the plants so we only want it used with the Microbial Solution...
All my mother would use! Her ferns in pots were out of this world!!
Great chemistry.
this is a very well stated comment my friend thank you and yes I agree!
Clear and concise keep ‘em comin!
I would be wonderful if you can add jaggery (a coarse dark brown sugar made in India by evaporation of the sap of palm trees) to your fish. It will enhance the process. Been doing these for years now.
How about unsulfured molasses?
is it synonym to melassa ?
You could also use molasses and mix in fulvic or humick acid for fungi growth, molasses will promote bacterial growth. Would add these to mixed up solution, you could even add a some diluted hydrogen peroxide for the oxygen to promote bacterial growth. Just a thought..

111. And say, “Praise be to Allah, who has not begotten a son, nor has He a partner in sovereignty, nor has He an ally out of weakness, and glorify Him constantly.”
59. The likeness of Jesus in Allah’s sight is that of Adam: He created him from dust, then said to him, “Be,” and he was.
1. Say, “He is Allah, the One.
2. Allah, the Absolute.
3. He begets not, nor was He begotten.
4. And there is none comparable to Him.”
That is the Lord of the Universe.”
10. He placed stabilizers over it; and blessed it; and planned its provisions in four days, equally to the seekers.
11. Then He turned to the sky, and it was smoke, and said to it and to the earth, “Come, willingly or unwillingly.” They said, “We come willingly.”
I am to you from Him a clear warner.”
51. “And do not set up any other god with Allah. I am to you from Him a clear warner.”
52. Likewise, no messenger came to those before them, but they said, “A sorcerer or a madman.”
45. Yet when it is said to them, “Beware of what lies before you, and what lies behind you, that you may receive mercy.”
46. Yet never came to them a sign of their Lord’s signs, but they turned away from it.
47. And when it is said to them, “Spend of what Allah has provided for you,” those who disbelieve say to those who believe, “Shall we feed someone whom Allah could feed, if He so willed? You must be deeply misguided.”
48. And they say, “When will this promise be, if you are truthful?”
49. All they can expect is a single blast, which will seize them while they feud.
50. They will not be able to make a will, nor will they return to their families.
51. The Trumpet will be blown, then behold, they will rush from the tombs to their Lord.
52. They will say, “Woe to us! Who resurrected us from our resting-place?” This is what the Most Gracious had promised, and the messengers have spoken the truth.”
He says, “Who will revive the bones when they have decayed?”
79. Say, “He who initiated them in the first instance will revive them. He has knowledge of every creation.”

His trees were noticeably larger and more productive than his neighbors.
Of course we loved to fish...

I have this same very question. I live in the desert. We don’t have leaf mold 😂 but I do have worm castings.

This works with roadkill too. I made deer emulsion with a buck that got hamburgered a few years ago in a 50 gallon drum.
Fairwarning though, it stinks really bad.
I didnt use leaf mold, i added a 10lb of sugar. It was finished in 3 months.
Genius. Love your work. Keep up the good work my friend. Im a fan
When you’re making this fertilizer, do you have to put in all the materials at the same time and then seal the bucket to ferment, or would it be okay to open it up and add more stuff over time?
I was thinking of doing shrimp shells, but I obviously wouldn’t have half a bucket of shrimp shells at a time 😆
yes this fertilizer can be used in that manner... add some ... use some... add some... use some.. its all good!
Greetings. Can one add sweet potato skins??
Thank you very much, i have been searching for a way to not have to keep buying fish fertilizer from the store. I greatly appreiciate it.
I like this recipe very much. I'm going carp fishing soon and will have raw material aplenty.

@@gardenlikeaviking this is true! 🌿
This is a great video my friend.
Definitely having a go at making liquid fertilizer! Love the brief explanation of the science behind what’s going on with bacteria 😊
Excellent! You had me going there for a second…. 😎
I 💘 how you use your washing machine as a fertilizer table😄😄😄😄😄
Great video and I will definitely make this. Thank you for your wisdom.
I LOVE learning ways to be more self sufficient. Definitely appreciate the wholesome lesson here so I had to subscribe!!
This is genius. I have buried fish in the garden. But this is such a controllable way to fertilize. Thankyou !
Another fantastic and educational video. You are just amazing. Thank you for sharing 😊
I started a fish carcass bucket last summer. I’ve used a little bit here and there for transplants with great results. Today I watered my seedlings with it. Hoping for a banner garden this year 🎉🎉
GREAT video. Thank you for the tip!
