    As a geometric tooler I really enjoyed this video. It gives me some new ways of thinking about filling large areas with circular designs. This could be an alternative to basket weave fills.

    Background you use with the same impression to fill in unstamped areas and shader is used to give depth like on a leaf or flower

    I ground one side of my wing dividers into a chisel point and if I use extra pressure it will cut the leather like a swivel knife.

    Measure the diameter of the circle then multiply the diameter times pi, 3.1416 and that is the circumference. Example a 2 1/2 inch diameter circle is 2.5 x 3.1416 = 7.853 or close to 7 and 7/8ths or 7.875 in circumference.

    Great video! I've had a lot of fun practicing. Why do you tape the back, I missed the explanation? Thanks!

    • @SpringfieldLeather
      @SpringfieldLeather  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is so the leather doesn't stretch so much. When you stamp you are moving the leather around, but we don't want to stretch our project out too much. So the tape helps with that.

    I would send you my left foot if there was someway to get images of the design s shown at the start, or shou or I just save screenshots. Some of the ways you combine common tools in New ways knocks my socks off....or now I should say "my sock".

    A hi from Indonesia. Thanks for the wonderful tutorials (kinda) video. So glad to find this video across the internet... I'm just wondering if we have to use the tools from BK to get best results. But they're very pricy. Do you think the tools from other cheaper brands will do good too?

      These are not BK tools. You can use which ever ones you have. Most of all makes sure to have fun!
