I to hunt PA. Congratulations on your buck. I also hit a buck with single lung-liver hit and had to back out after kicking him up the night I hit him. We backed out and went back at sunrise and the coyotes already found him. I also got the head and tagged it, but lost the meat. I've been hunting a long time and shot many deer with the bow but stuff still happens. Stick with it there is nothing like archery hunting. Good luck the rest of the season.
lesson learned, the first time you jumped the deer you should immediately back out and wait 24 hours. I did that on a nice buck where the arrow deflected off the shoulder blade and came out the gut, it was 100 yards from where I hit it. thanks for sharing.
Sounds like a great hunt. Congrats. You hung in there and did the right thing.
Thank you sir, I appreciate the comment

The king returns
He kicked like a double lung. That stinks he went bad, but it speaks a lot of your ethics that you still tagged him. Good luck in Maryland!
