I've had 2. A GQ and GU, GQ was a 4.2 petrol/gas, mileage was horrendous, car died in the middle of nowhere due to fan blades coming off, one through brake lines, one through wiring loom and another through my battery terminal wires. Put it on a trailer and towed it home, trailer had a blow out @110kmh, spun me into a 720 spin flipping the trailer with the Patrol on it. Long story short out of the 13 windows on the car, only the windscreen broke despite the entire top half of the car was warped to a 45 degree angle, had 6 windows pop out from the seals and landed on concrete without breaking, the other 6 stayed in without breaking. Also every panel below the window line was straight. Sure I lost a car that day but I was more impressed with the windows🤣 My GU had the grenade and was dead within 2 months of owning, currently has a tb48 getting work done for high power (I went this route after seeing a tb48 Patrol with full weight smash a Tesla at the strip)
Love this, I remember listening to my Dad have chats about his passion with others of the same and was always a treat, the finer details of the topic are covered quickly and deftly, comparisons between them are also made very apparent. In fact, after rereading this I realise this was responsible for a good part of my thinking process as a young boy. I will gladly view this again, even at double the length in time. Love the change in rapport as each have their car evaluated, each shows their due respect for the other.

The Mercedes’ e55 amg cars also had an option to upgrade the oil flow plate in the gearbox made a massive improvement. Legit street cars did a whole set of videos on it.
It is amazing to watch a touareg made in Slovakia and know maybe my colleagues were working on it :D and you did a perfect job that car looks amazing :D

What Luke describes at the end is exactly how his old Grey DPUK sportline of dreams blew up when i bought it off Luke Dale. I spun the Wheels they slipped and revs pinged well over 6k and fucked something. After a top end rebuild taking it back to him it was fixed. Didn't make that mistake again 😂 always wanted to know exactly how i broke it
@@DarksideDevelopments didn't have one 😂 from what I remember it was something due to the Guvnour on the pump either braking or failing causing the revs to just continue. I know the precombustion Chambers got damaged
Wonder how an OM606 would fit in a 14 Xterra pro4x 5 speed manual... Wish I could afford to be a guinea pig. Wonder if anyone's put one in a frontier. Seen people do the 8 out of the titan, have yet to see anyone do the titans Cummins into the little beast. Sucks we don't get the good Patrol over here. Just the full independent suspension limousine Armada.
What about putting an electronic actuator on the rack? I think controlling fueling and fuel cut off that way isn't to hard to do. Just the part of controlling timing is hard to figure out, since there is no provision for that on the pump. How about putting a Bosch ve pump on it for managing timing? Or is a ve pump not capabele of delivering enough cc's of fuel?
Beautiful view but some dimensions and close look of underbody would be the best. So far it is the "most covering"(like entire flat belly ) protection for touareg I've seen. I would like to buy one or manufacture one like this... thank you.

Broo why my 2006 Touareg v6 is not pulling. When i press the accelerator all the way down touareg is not pulling hard and after 2 seconds is pulling very hard ? Because is not esp off full or what??
Valve springs are weak, cam gear and bottom pulley need locked as there a weak link, bottom end balanced and lighter stronger Conrods, they will happily Rev past 6 then,
man i would do anything to test drive a patrol like that. i dont think we will ever see them in america unlike the r34 they just dont have the hype unfortunately

Buy the tdi for torque and economy, then the 606 at the weekend for speed and sound 😎 I’ll never get sick of mine,

You could but the idea of fully mechanical is more important, especially for off-road. The VE pumps would have a hard time delivering this much fuel.
