Bro just discovered your channel yesterday!! Absolutely awesome and even tho I’ve spent so much time in BKK you’ve given me loads of great places to try when I’m back in December. And FYI you speak Thai amazingly, defo not like a Farang.
Thank you, Gary, I will go to Chinatown days begin September, I will test some of them. I like videos where you put links and very convenient to reach and find it.
Great compilation, a couple of these places I hadn't seen before, they are going in my Maps Pins! Can't wait for you to get back to BKK and try some new places!
Hi Gary, I guess this is a compilation of previous outings then, since you have different color T's on. Food is still mouthwatering just the same. Sound out of the day: Maw ⬇ = Doctor. Maw⬆ = Pot. Tua➡ = Peanuts. Tua⬆ = Everywhere, Partout.
This is so wierd. Thanks to you Gary I've started ordering my food in thai(here in Norway), and yesterday was the first time I asked an auntie for her name, and guess what her name was, Jae Wan... Thanks for the inspiration!
This is the most epic food vlog video Gary!!! Love it ❤❤❤ Thanks for sharing and fingers crossed that we get to try them all this December January & February 😊
hi gary! i have been following your food recomendations and i enjoyed everything. your my new mark:) im from thonburi/ta phra area also and hope to catch you vlogging in our area in the near future. thank you
Absolutely must go to this Chinatown, even thought it’s not really close to other things I want to do. I pretty sure I would stay on that st 1-2 nights to eat, explore and soak it all up. Can’t smell the smoke of the grilled pork, yummy and delicious pork and can’t ever go wrong in my option. HI Opal. Not sure about this pork soup. Yum Yum goose, absolutely loved seeing all 3 of your reactions taking your 1ST bite. I heard you say dumplings, delicious. Thought I heard stewed pork dumplings [ guess not ] Scrambled egg and pork yummy and delicious. Absolutely Loved Every Second // Absolutely Awesome From Start To Finish. PS I myself would never go to this Chinatown without getting those yum yum yum Chinese Doughnuts
i have to add my best moo ping was from a grand dad off sathorn in the silom area accross from a school on the same street that the sathorn grace and melvin hotel are on best moo ping i have ever eaten...
Sure there are lots of good food to be had in Yaowarat but you know what I always go for when I am in that area? The humble pa-tong-ko, from a street cart that has been there since forever. It's just deep fried dough but somehow the ones from this cart are just the best, better than ones that cost x4 the price in fancy shops. I think the soi is call Phadung dao off Yaowarat road, if you want to check it out.
Another cracking video Gary! I always take your tips onboard when in BKK 👌🏻 Your mate Joe is a rather posh 😂 Where’s he from in Blighty? From a northern monkey living in Isaan!
nice video mate like bamee jabkang , very good, very big portion lol and yay police station phlaphla chai, place where i make police report, lost a passport there lol
I cooked a couple grocery store satay skewers here in Texas… plenty bigger than in Thailand (3-4x), but no fat, no flavor, and dry. Ugh! 😭 I miss Thai satays… so much more delicious.
Jae wan s bbq pork stick used to be bigger 2 years ago. 😮 but it s ok .it s still delicious . You need to call her and make an order one day in advance. Otherwise it s a 2 hrs wait.😂
Just to let you know .. I bought a copy of your Bangkok Food Guide and the TH-cam links on the pinned location are not working and/or your descriptions are often not appearing at all. I am using an iPad.
First of all, thanks for purchasing the map and I’m so sorry it’s not working. I checked on mine earlier (iPhone) and it was working but not on other iPhones I’ve tried. I’ll put the description back to only fully working on Mac desktop and android 🙏 what’s your email address, I’ll issue you a refund asap
Gary, this sounds awful when they use a bamboo skewer. It has a wet grassy favour. Look out for the traditional sticks which are made from the spine of the palm frond.
Thank you for your videos I live in Hawaii. The lady who cuts my hair is Thai. She thinks since I have a B.A. degree I can get a good paying job in Thailand. Any thoughts? Thanks.
These are the good kind hand layered pieces of meat & fat compared to the processed kind you get in big boxes at Makro that are already ground and formed on the stick. Even though these are more popular than the processed kind I heard kids like to eat them better but idk. The lady who sells them at Ratchawat does about half that amount per day.
Suddenly they are food experts! That’s mustard greens and they don’t even know what they’re eating 😂😂😂 I like opal and follow here. But I think she’s hanging out with the wrong people. That’s braised goose with Chinese herbs. I have a great braised duck noodle place here where I live in Buriram. Butler thinks he’s the guru of Thai food which he’s not!
@@theroamingcook Good stuff! To be fair I like your videos despite all the pork :) I think you have done a lot to bring Thai food closer to foreigners. It also shows that you know much more about food than average youtubers, which makes your videos much easier to watch in the long term.

And you talk loudly in front of the food being cooked.
