I subscribed your channel and your brother channel on TH-cam, have been following you guys from last 3 months , you guys did a wonderful jobs . My only request is will you guys please update more videos on software diagnostics from now onwards because you did good job on practical skills but now it’s time to teach some on software thanks
I really appreciate your comment and your support,I'm sorry but we don't have any hi-tech scanner, we just record videos whenever I work on my truck. Thank you for watching my videos.
Hey Sam I hope you’re doing alright. I bought one of those for my truck but never used it because it sticks out too far. I’m afraid if I run over a tire or something it might rip it off. The oil pan is fiberglass so there isn’t much strength holding that valve in place. I’m using a torque wrench a little under the recommended torque at 33 ft lbs and I haven’t had a problem with my drain plug stripping the threads or leaking.
Hello Mark, I'm doing well. I agree with you is kind of risky and when you do the job yourself you take care of everything but some mechanics just don't care and that's when this valve comes and handy. Thank you for watching my videos. 👍
@@markm0000 I’m using the one from Femco. It looks legit, but I haven’t drained my oil yet, so I can’t tell how well it works. This one needs an extra piece that has a hose attached to it, so you can direct the engine oil and the valve opens when you screw it on.
Hello. Thank you for your videos. They are really helpful. I’m also looking for that Valve but don’t know what size exact do I have to buy and which adapter do I need. I got dd15 2017 Freightliner Cascadia. Can you please share a link where I can buy these two??
@@markm0000 it’s the EZ-103 most likely, I have a 2016 carrier x4 7500 and I bought the combo pack that has an L shape that attaches to a hose for no spill oil changes. I got it through Amazon. Their website tells you which size to buy for your engine including personal cars.
@@alex7289 Yep I looked it up the Carrier Kubota engine uses the EZ-103. They’ve been using the same engine forever it seems. I have a 2006 Carrier Ultima unit that has it. I’ll pick one up for my next service and do it myself. I’m paying $250 at the dealer every 1,000 hours and the last time I had it in they didn’t really care about it they overfilled it a little and the belts are still loose especially the fan belt that thing always looks like it’s about to blow off. I know how to check the compressor oil and refrigerant levels myself I will do it more often and on the road once I get a ladder mounted on my truck somewhere.
@@alex7289 I strongly do not support Amazon. They are a evil company and there isn’t a single benefit they provide to society. Doing my first PM on my own tomorrow. Your videos really helped me better understand how to do it on my own. Really enjoy your videos!!!
I really appreciate your comment. Thank you for watching my videos. 👍
Do you have to drill the whole in the oil pan yourself?
Sam 33lb torque is good torque for the adapter before install the drain valve?
Hey Sam do those parts fit on a 2013 freightliner DD15
Yes they do.

You can buy some quick drain adapters that are compact and don’t have a lever on them, so you won’t have to fear it opening while driving.

Entre 33-40 libras de torque sería suficiente para el motor DD15 con oil pan de plástico.
Thank you for sharing this info can you like the part numbers please
