great lathe work.......This FIX is the best their ECONOMIC situation can provide. it would be great if a couple of senior WELDERS could offer some pointers. For example, when beginning the weld, the OBJECTIVE is to stack one good weld bead over the previous. And keep the beads nice and neat (not wide)..... the OBJECTIVE is not to FILL the 1" gap with weld-rod metal by stroking the welding rod left to right. NO. You need a high current to hear the ROD sizzle like bacon, and keep the item rotating (and run the bead straight all around) not side to side...... The very last welds show the left to right bead (which only FILLS metal), but does not stack one bead on top of another....
Another concept foreign to the fuckistan mind
That's how I see it. Weaving the bead as they have done doesn't penetrate nearly as much as running stringers around it. Effectively what they are doing is just capping the weld beneath, which is fine on your last pass. Filling it with stringers, making sure not to leave any slag or flux in between passes is the strongest way to do it for sure !
Yes, They do great work. But in this case I doubt that the welded axle can bear the same load than a forged axle.
And even that didn't stand the overload they put on it most of the time.
some of the most satisfying videos on the internet! Shows the ingenuity people have.
Which in many cases would be unnecessary with proper loading of their equipment
These bunglers actually don't notice what kind of mess they are delivering. That's already criminal.
I give them credit for not having the best equipment and a true knowledge..but there's no way those welds at the end had enough of a heat penetration to do a good job of holding that axle together under any load..especially the kinds they do over there..
This axle was cracked, improperly repaired the first time and continued to be operated without inspection until it failed. Had it been properly repaired the first time, and not overloaded, it wouldn't have broken.
The part i don't like in many of the video clips is when they just throw around auto parts, so it can get bruised or dirt gets in where it's not supposed to.
Other than that, i'm really impressed how skilled and talented they are, they can fix just about anything they want..
Amazing what they do with what they have to work with 🎉
Respect to Your work.👍🏼 From Slovakia 🇸🇰.
These guys and their skills are a pleasure to watch. Great to see things repaired rather than scrapped.
But that would not pass a DOT inspection.
On heavy equipment it may never very the samme
@mangopog9814
Many of the chassis used with semi trucks to transport shipping containers in the USA have had similar repairs and manage to pass DOT inspections just fine.
Your hard work is great 👍🏻 job
Mashallah best job❤❤❤❤
Big props to these guy!! Although their techniques might be crude, but their ingenuity and resourcefulness is off the charts.
I LOVE..how they sound like Jawa's....
These are the machines our grandparents used to win WWII. Much respect.
exactly what I was thinking
Amazing old time craftsmen.
Truly amazing work...and definitely very satisfying. You do what you've got to do to get the job done.
These excellent mechanics , they are very valuable
Just amazing engineering and technical minds, efficiency and teamwork at its best 👌
This is a real insult for real engineers and the engineering indeed
I've seen a lot but not like you guys do very old school work very hard work love to see more I give you five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I give you five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Chapeau les artistes 👩🎨 !!!!
Système débrouille….
Je reste pantois devant tant d’abnégation !!!!
Excellent video ! 👍
It does look like Pakistan to me. Is it?
impressive, but I wonder the composition of the welding rod. Different rods have different characteristics of strength and metal. I am NOT a metal specialist, vut the correct composition is critical.
The welder and the other guys are artists not just engineers.
Great job, but how expensive is a new axel ?
In case of overload the shearing of the axle will be evenly throughout the axle and not unevenly
Mantap,dah cerdas.sukses selalu
Its hardwork nice greats job good for ❤motivation
Esse eixo já tinha sido soldado antes?
Instead of a nice interference fit on the pin, using heat and ice, they mushroom the pin beating it into the spindle, then have to oversize the hole in the axle to get it to go in. Then no preheat before welding. That weld will have shit for penetration.
I wouldn't be surprised if the axle breaks and the wheel falls off before the next stop.
Good job
Forget d quality &your life if load d vehicle fully
Men doing great stuff.
Good job!!!!!
"I cant understand why it BROKE! I only had it over-loaded 1/2 as much as yesterday"
These guys are great!
They definitely need ratchet wrenches though
Didn't the driver notice that on the technical sheet of the semi-trailer the permissible payload refers to the whole semi-trailer and not to one axle?
Their work is great, but it's very dangerous for people in d vehicle while driving...God knows how it's hold d strength..
Trucks are always overworked on terrible roads and loaded over capacity. Can't really reuse parts when it breaks off like that. Welds won't last long
Profesionales 👏👏👏🏆
Hey...if they'll take it easy that repair will probably last a long time!!
That part definitely has got to be replaced by new one. Another option is to sell the vehicle immediately
Esses homens são verdadeiros artistas!!!👋👋👋
Isnt it about time these people learnt about loads and weights etc
Have you guys every experimented with thermite welding?
“You can’t get better than a Kwik Fit fitter; they’re the boys to trust”!! 😜 😮
I notice too that they don't mess around like our mechanics. They put their behind in gear and get it done !.😎
Are you a mechanic and welder? Define "mess around".
Mechanics for the most part work on a commission on each job, having done This for 47 years in New car dearships I know you don't end of story smart ass
Amazing work. Bet you could not find one person under 25 that could machine or weld lik that in America today. Skilled trades dieing today if not dead.
Give me the VIN or I can’t help you wound not fly there!!
You guys are a assume team that take care of thing and u do perfect welding work u in my list off experience engineers because every time they gave a project u do a assume work 👍👍👍👍👍👍💯
Master 👍👍 good job
If I were a kid living there (India, I think, or Pakistan) I would sell my soul to work with those guys.
If that were true, they would be working on you, right after the family goat of course.
@@omicron0megaI once met a man who was furious that two-way radios would work in non-English languages. A bit of discussion revealed that he simply hated the idea that most of Earth accepted and practiced non-American languages and culture. Surely a just God would never permit such a thing, but evil foreign interests insisted on it.
I learned auto mechanics from a pair of Ecuadorean brothers who lived next door in Bridgeport, Connecticut. They spoke little English but were kind enough to make each of my errors into a calm, concise legend.
The Pakistanis in the videos are part of that nation's centuries-old metal-working history. It is true that most of these firms consist of extended families, partly due to tradition and partly due to their nation's lack of reliable commercial courts. These are the courts of law which enforce business contracts between groups of people who don't necessarily admire each other, but who require each other's services to prosper, thus enriching themselves and the nation.
Why do they overload those trucks so much?
Why not weld it together using the lathe to slowly turn the sections? Hold the rod still and let it ride ! Nice job and success !
That would make a better weld and the ground clamp can ride on some copper sheet or bare cable since welding on a lathe should NEVER ground through the bearings.
how much does this truck weigh..cause you know the brake can't be the best..Just thinking saftey for others lol wonder how much it could hold with 50 leaf springs per set
🤔 I'm thinking friction welding...
Can we do it in this case ?
I honestly question the validity quality of the material into the process of manufacturing the axle like the differential the constant breakage is a manufacturing problem not from excessive weight this problem will arise from structural failure in the metal itself and it will be a constant issue of fatigue metal failure
The sign outside the shop warns that photos and videos in this shop are strictly prohibited... :)
To the bhaai who working under the heavy load of lorry,be careful and safety first
Buen trabajo 👌👍
This is the amount of cargo for three trucks!! It is clear that this happens when the truck is overloaded!!!😮
Ok they fix it within their capabilities, but why not at least preheat the axle before welding. 🤨
Were you to ask, I am certain that you'd receive a technically correct and consistent answer. Just look at their faces: those guys are intelligent and experienced. And I'll bet that they have great stories to tell.
11:47 Heat the bottom part with a Butane Torch and expand it. It will enter more easily. It will also tighten when it cools down. They don't know what thermal expansion is.
Don't waste gas if you don't need to.
Save cash everywhere you can
They do indeed. And we could use them to help revive American industry.
Operai bravissimi. L’avorio veramente eccezionali. Bravi
26 x 13 x 5 x 50 kg = 84 000 kg? is that correct?
I used to clown on these guys for fixing these vehicles but for what they have they really do a good job my question is if you didn't overload the truck the axle wouldn't have broken
Si.mi abuelo no se hubiese muerto.seguiria vivo!!
5:12 5:21 5:22
I'm guessing the economy of trucking in the area has required the overloaded hauls. The roads must take a beating though. I think the gross weight of a big truck is 80k pounds in the USA. I'm thinking they're just a tad over.
I would bet that is overloaded by 50%.
Amazing. Still having most of their fingers and toes that is.
Perfect fulfillment of HSE and OSHA rules.
The welding seams are poor and no heat treatment. I don't want to see the x-ray images. The next crack is programmed.
The reversing alarm on the tuk tuk is rad.
Looks like defective material of the axle, not overload
Yes here in the west you go through a 4 year craftsman education, just to be replacing it for new auto parts..
Good welding!
I can only say it like this skills!
good morning! A curiosity: what is the price of a repair of this type in this country?
80$
These home grown mechanics are amazing for how much they can do with very little tools.
Wodrfull🌹🌹🌹. Super tired 🌸. 🌳🍈🍓🍇🌿🌴🌱🍊🌼🌷🌹🌸👍👍👍👍
What is approximate load in this trailer?
Good 👍
Should make your insert smaller then you could get more weld in there it would be stronger
