To viewers that have never worked in a fab shop like this it is incredibly loud. The hammering and grinding on metal plate, especially it being made into a drum shape does not come out in this video. Maybe Bluetooth it to headphones and crank it all the way to 11. These hard working very skilled men will be mostly deaf and maybe blind and die of lung disease if they survive 20 years in these conditions. This is a sacrifice they make to feed their families. Us westerners really need to think about that before we ridicule them.
The west has had this during the industrial age 100 - 400 years ago. The labour movement and unions came about because workers did not need to die to feed their families. The wealthy indusrial barons fought tooth and nail (still do) to prevent the rise of unions. You can thank the union movement if you live in a country where safety and of the working class is important.
@@randomtask99 because when you are young you do not think of the long term effects. I was the same way and I have permanent tinnitus and breathing problems myself. I wear hearing protection and a respirator now when needed. The lungs will clear up some over time until your body gets ready to die. But the ringing in my ears in there til the end. No cure surgical or otherwise. After over 20 years of constant ringing in both ears I would have hoped for blissful insanity so they could medicate me into a stupor. Yet I am still fully aware and sadly sober.
i would rather watch these fine human beings any day of the week over some over-fed American jackass bragging about how well he can "stack his dimes" in his immaculate shop.....
A nation that does not wait for their government to provide means to excel, these people make it possible with what they have on hand. My respect to you guys because you guys make many amazing things possible with very little 👍🏻
As a retired NDT technician and pressure welder I think they have done a very good job under the lack of what we call modern equipment, and safety procedures.
I have seen this done in the uk. You boys are hardworker,s doing it all by hand and with very little gear. It must be very hot inside the drum welding the blades. As i know been there done that too. Well done lads. Much respect to you all.😁❤
Amazing the one side welds don’t snap in rolling process. The drum must wear pretty fast in aggregate mixing. Abrasion wears steel as if it were butter. Looks like maybe 5/32 6013 weld rod on AC current. 3/16 “ A-36 hot roll mill steel. No gloves or even face protection amazing they don’t get terrible arc burns and arc flash in eyes.
Skill is very good, & the work is difficult. Amazed with no gloves & working in sandals with or with out socks that there is not red spots every where. Those metal sheets have to be sharp & very bulky. All the videos I've seen I'm impressed how hard these fella's work especially with what they have to work with and work in. As others have stated, much respect. Thank you.
very impressive effort but that spiral raduis doent run parallel with the drum but big respect guys i do this for a living aswell, not an easy task but i love it with all my might
Sheet metal/construction workers in Pakistan make from 11,000 - 33,000 Rupees per month. That's roughly between $35 - $115 PER MONTH So if they're really, really skilled - not even 5 bucks a day.
Eventually we'll see auto-darkening welding helmets, especially since Chinese ones are pretty reasonably - priced. Probably "True-Colour" LCDs are in the somewhat more distant future.
Incredible work curving those plates accrately and the aligning them for welding. Even your welding is good looking. I hope they at least had a fan blowing fresh air into the mixer when they were welding. The welding fumes would really affect your health.
The fumes from the rod flux are pretty toxic, short and long term, hence the caution on ALL rod packs re. adequate ventilation. In the West, they'd be using remote air supply masks, however that tech is very expensive, and over there lives are (relatively) cheap unfortunately, even for skilled welders.
They produce pretty magnificent welds with "No-Name" welding rods, and equipment that has certainly seen far "better days", including the torches and cables!
I think this is one of the first videos where I’m genuinely impressed with their fabrication skills. The way they laid out the radius to roll the cone was pretty good, usually it’s a video of a guy welding a hole in an aluminum rim with a gas torch or some nonsense but these guys are pretty decent. I question how long that will last when it’s made from sheets that a couple guys can lift, I would assume it would heavier steel to take the abuse
Anyone know if there's any of these Indian and Pakistani videos that show lathe accidents, etc? They wear no ppe so there must be quite a few accidents.
Because it is more manual than anything else (no computer here), it appears like a rustic work, but it is a lot of engineering involved: right measurement, angle ........
What I find amazing besides the craftsmanship is that these workers are using the basic of tools, no OSHA regulations, no retirement, no worker's comp..........none of the things that the first world countries have. Hell, there are people in the US who refuse to work and the government provides for them. And yet, here are these people working their arses off to put food on the table, a roof over their heads and taking care of family.

Why they build a new drum? How they can afford it? They should patch old drums, and then patch the patches, and after that patch two times more. Mix concrete by hand!!! That is the way for one rupee a day.

Why don't they wear ear plugs and a face mask then?

Excellent skills ! 👍

I'm old enough to remember when these things were riveted together. My contractor uncle called his cement delivery truck 'Ol Betsy!
I also give them props

The best products make by hand great factory
Amazing how it all fits together. They make the skilled work, look so easy!
Have you seen the welds? I wouldn't called that anywhere near 'Skilled' 😀

I watch these videos so I never take for granted my soft, cushy Western World. Somebody has to manufacture the things I use.
More impressive than what they do in part two. 👍👍
some one did a fantastic job on that end cap and never seen such work on the drumb great work gentlemen
I can only imagine what they could do with machines for fine tuning 😅😅😅😅 amazing work men!!
They can make anything in order but not sure about quality... Appreciate them.

They have the electricity , but not the mechanised factory as this is a local rural industry .

Safety sandals?
You boys are hardworker,s doing it all by hand and with very little gear.
No gloves or boots or masks. Accidents?
what are the specifications of the steel sheets?
Amazing, Employee working without PPE and tools minim.
I. wonderhow many injuries they have yearly.
nice work!

I saw shoes, a welding helmet, and a ratcheting wrench. They're getting closer all the time.
Eventually we'll see auto-darkening welding helmets, especially since Chinese ones are pretty reasonably - priced. Probably "True-Colour" LCDs are in the somewhat more distant future.
Why do they bind the welding rod.
Sinceramente geniales e inigualables.

I love that they can make this stuff, But it doesn't look sturdy enough

They measure everything. Love it
About 60 years ago we did it this way in the Netherlands,
that should not be allowed anymore. Now you have to follow a VCA metal training.
The guys welding gotta have some tough skin. No gloves, sleeves rolled up. I would get sunburned doing that, I have before.
É inacreditavel.
Great video like this
Worker 1:
"What happened to you?"
Worker 2:
" I was working in the shop...and got ran over by a car!"
This dudes are well fed they al have big tummies !!
Hallo from holland😢😢😢😢😢
