How stunningly beautiful and moving! Thank-you to Angela and Kara, and thank-you, Kathryn, for enabling those of us living far away to also enjoy and be touched and inspired by this exquisite exhibition. Sending much love. ❤
Going through sad, heartbreaking times is so difficult, so hard, but these two exhibitions show us how coming through the dark times to the other side, endangers so much creativity, and how they uplift all of us with the beauty of their work.
Rebuilding your home and your life takes an incredible amount of courage and resilience. Much love going out to all who have had to do it again and again. ❤❤❤
Totally relate to both Ladies. Just Stunning work. Thank you, Kathryn, for sharing totally love their work. When I think of those nest's Birds do take from the environment what they need even human hair. So much heartfelt stories and writings in their work. Stay Strong Kathryn (Kia Kaha) hugs from NZ xx
I am in tears😢 this must be difficult and hopeful for you. Thank you for taking us along on this extraordinary exhibit...not only beautiful but you feel the despair and the hope.
Yes, Kara is an inspiration to me, having witnessed her journey and seen how she has processed the loss and the challenges she continues to face. It was an absolute pleasure to have the opportunity to share hers and Angela's beautiful work with you ❤️
Dear Kathryn, this was a precious video to watch. THANK YOU! I felt your heart as well as Angela’s and Kara’s. I am touched and inspired--tearful and appreciative of all I have gained from what you (all) have shared from your tender-creative hearts. THANK YOU! 🙂❤
Thank you for taking us with you…to experience this , to be a little immersed in these artists’ expressions that are so deep I don t really have any words processed as yet to encompass it. I felt as moved as when I went to see an exhibition of Palestinian clothing and textiles, mended almost beyond recognition, some of it. A fine embroidered gown, something normally only worn at weddings etc. given in desperate circumstances to a woman in a camp . She had clearly had to adjust and dye the garment using flour sacks, as she was clearly of different height and dimensions to the donor. The juxtaposition so moving. I was often in tears in this exhibition. The other thing I saw that s pertinent to what you have shown us and told us personally and in this exhibition tour you gave us was this: - a film that showed the washing and washing of cloth . It was a blue cloth, naturally dyed. The story told of how a grieving woman would be given a dress of this cloth within the Palestinian culture when she had experienced deep loss. She would wear the dress so all would know to go carefully, tenderly around her grieving heart. As she washed the dress, over time the dye became lighter and lighter …and in time the grieving period would be over, as the cloth faded. I just wanted to share that on here because it felt relevant to the stories in the exhibition, to what you are sharing from your own life and to us all….all who have grieved or are grieving. I m still processing the Palestinian textiles exhibition which I visited at the Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester in April 2024. Love from here to all in our community xxx
Hello Lesley thank you so much for sharing that beautiful and poignant story. It reminds me a little of the Clootie Tree, where people who are suffering tie a rag to a special tree usually a hawthorn the belief being that when the rag has rotted away, their pain will have gone with it. Your story has the added layer that the special dress tells the grieving woman's community that she needs to be nurtured. In stark contrast to our own culture where we are often encouraged to hide our grief and carry on. Much love to you ♥️

I get your videos 5 hours behind as I am in Ontario, Canada. Thank you so much for showing us this incredibly moving exhibition. I have never seen stitching like this that brings the birds to life. There are really no words to describe how you feel to see such beautiful art.
How appropriate that this exhibition should come now. It reflects the situation you are in now, Hanging by a thread and trying to find a handhold for comfort and safety. The universe sends us messages when we need them and this is your message. There is hope, comfort and healing in the darkest of times. Sending hugs and wishes for good vibes. ❤️❤️❤️
I tried hard not to cry but I could feel the heartbreak of your own loss in your voice when you were reading about the dresses. I always feel silly when I cry about something that is not harming me personally so it is difficult to explain my tears to my family, that the echoes of your pain in your voice and all of the pain and loss I have witnessed happening to those around me and to myself just refused to be ignored and just spilled out. But I think (and I’m having trouble articulating this, please bear with me) that these losses deserve to be acknowledged and mourned even if they are not all happening to me personally because our human experience is shared so even though I could not explain it, I stopped trying to fight it because it deserves to be felt and acknowledged and mourned. I hope that in the years ahead, peace will replace pain in your heart. 🙏
Kelly, as someone who also cries at 'silly things ', I found your words beautiful, about our shared human experience and our empathy. I talk a bit about it in today's video, which I recorded yesterday morning. I wish I had seen your message first because you put it so much more eloquently and I would have quoted you. 🙏❤️
Thank you Kathryn for sharing this Exhibition, I have been a follower of Kara's for a few years and have always been amazed by her work. In fact it was the dress that she wore on her honeymoon that gave me the courage to try my hand at slow stitching, I had always done surface embroidery but I wanted more. When I saw the dress the first time I was enthralled by it's beauty and creation. I actually choked back tears when you talked about her house fire and the loss recalling the day she posted about it on facebook and letting the tears flow freely for her loss and remembering my own loss from a fire.
Passed through this beautiful town today and fell upon this exhibition. It is amazing, definitely one not to be missed. You have to see it with your own eyes to appreciate the beauty and detail of each piece. Oh the tiny hand made christening gown too hanging in the window !!
Living in Canada, I very much appreciate that you share the exhibits you attend overseas, which I am not able to see in person. This is a particularly moving collection of art; thought provoking, innovative and beautifully crafted. Angela's work reminds me of the urgent need for humanity to start living in harmony with nature to ensure our own survival as well. Kara's work gives me hope that even if we fail, Mother Earth will rise from the ashes of our destruction and rebuild herself after we are gone.
How beautiful is her soul that she can take something so tragic and turn it around for others to be educated, appreciate and enjoy. Stunning. Tha k you so m7ch for sharing. Blessings x
Processing Through Pain…..For a primary visual learner like myself this was haunting……your oratory descriptions were so helpful to feel a whole spectrum of feelings….sending this off to a number of friends including Dear Friends who also watched as their home burned….recognizing now the depth of despair, grief and of a glimmer of light in the horizon of resettlement in one’s soul….almost like a soothing salve ….
Absolutely beautiful exhibition. Lovely to be able to see it when it's too far away to attend in person. I really felt for you, reading those beautiful words. They spoke to me too... The last dress you showed is so lovely. Dandelions and nettles... just my sort of thing! Birds too!... how lovely to be able to show such work. I think dark times can sometimes awaken even more creativity and send us off in directions we would never have thought. Thank you Kathryn.
I am so happy you saw it Marion, I have been meaning to send you an email. I will soon. I have seen part one of your Lichen duster, looking forward to watching part two. I have a lot of catching up to do. I knew you would love Kara's dress. ♥️
Kara's story is very moving...heartbreaking and ultimately uplifting. I loved the tiny vessels from her meditative walks. Angela's birds are beautiful and thought provoking. Thank you for sharing. Mary x
Thank you Kathryn for the fantastic video of the beautiful and inspiring display by your two friends. It is fabulous that we in Australia can see such creativity. Big hug, you are amongst friends both in spirit and in reality to give you that extra boost of courage for the next phase of life's journey. Best wishes
Oh, what a powerful and lovely and poignant exhibit -- and your sharing of it with us. Thank you. Hearing your emotion in your voice was part of the beauty of this video and the exhibit for me, Kathryn. It was brave and beautiful of you to share this with us at this time of great change for you. It all draws me in.
Omgosh, Kathryn, stunning!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I know this is one I will come back to, and watch over and over again. Just breath taking!!
Thanks for sharing, the birds were amazing! I love listening to the turtle doves around my house. Also all the different birds around my area, my little town is right on the Mississippi River and we have all kinds of wildlife.
Kathryn, you read the words so beautifully. I know those words meant so much to you. I felt your emotions. It was like her words were meant for you at this time of your life of from the hardships you’re going through right now. ❤That was a very special video, thank you for sharing. Sending hugs 🤗
Thanks for showing us round this exhibition K3n. Those wee nests were exquisite and I love the idea of incorporating found objects into the art. Seeing the scorched dress was particularly moving. I really admire that artist for working through their grief in this way. Sending you good vibes and good luck for the upcoming move and life changes
Mesmerised. If not for the book title, K3n saying thread drawing, would have thought the birds were quality 3D photography. OMG wonders of thread. More heroes shared 🙏.
Thanks for taking us to see this beautiful exhibit. Hang in there! We’re all thinking of you and hoping you’ll be settled in your new home soon. ❤️❤️❤️
Thought provoking and beautiful. Thank you for sharing this wonderful exhibition. I found myself totally immersed or to be more modern, in the moment. Hope for nature and humankind is to be treasured. Love
Thankyou for sharing this work by such inspiring artists. Such deeply emotional works of art. One of those nests entitled "knitting oneself back together", can apply to many of us who have experienced sadness or other difficulties. Wishing you a better future Kathryn.
OMG Kathryn, what a beautiful but very emotional exhibition, I could so relate to it as my parents too lost their entire home to a house fire many years ago, they were so lucky to escape and live to tell the tale. I can still see the smoke stain outline of where they both laid in their bed. I’ve shed tears watching this exhibition, what talented ladies they both are. Thank you so much for sharing, I wished it was nearer to where I lived, I would love to see it in person
Thank you so much for sharing that Kathryn. I only live just over an hour away so I hope to pop along. I watched the video between my fingers so that I only got an idea of the treats in store 😄 Warm hugs from one of your new friends x
Wow!! Such amazing work! The inspiration for creativity can be found in so many places. My partner lost his house to fire. This narrative helped me feel a new perspective. Thank-you, and thank-you to the beautiful artists who manage to capture so much.
I am so sorry for your partner and I will pass on your message to Kara, one of her motivations for making the work was to offer hope and understanding to others who had had the same experience. ❤️
Dearest Kat... spent the day catching up with your video's, I am so saddened to hear of your recent change in life, but who knows, better things to come.... I so love watching your videos and listening to your accent, and of course learning from you. Thank you so much for all you do, you are fantastic and special! Blessed be!
Thankyou for sharing your visit to the exhibition in Somerton. I live close by and the venue is a lovely space for local artists to exhibit their work. You probably already know there are many enthusiastic and talented textile artists like yourself in the south west of England. It is sad to leave behind a chapter of your life. Hopefully, here in the UK you will soon find your place amongst like minded, gentle and welcoming folk who love to slow stitch. Welcome
Thank you so much Julie. I am part of a group of textile artists called CQ West and we have lots of talented members. We have exhibitions coming up in Symondsbury and in Shaftesbury this year. I was a member before I left to go to France and rejoined in lockdown when meetings went on to zoom. Yes we are lucky here in the South West aren't we? So many talented artists and creatives. It is one of the positives to come out of my life changes that I am back amongst them. ❤️
I have been binging on your videos for a while now but never commented. I want to first say that I have great empathy for the new changes in your life and wish you all good things. I once had a workroom and made custom window treatments, bedding, and upholstery. all was sown by machine. I often dabbled in various crafts. When my girls were little, we would make Christmas ornaments using fabrics, trims & beads as well as any junk or broken jewelry we'd find and sell them to pay for gifts for family and friends. The ornaments themselves often served as gifts. I'm 72 years old now and disabled and home bound. You have inspired me to take a leap into slow stitching. I find it quite satisfying and I thank you for being there at the right time for me. All the best to you. From Henrico, VA, USA
Goodness. This exhibition and your commentary really touched me. There are few who have reached the latter years of life who have not been affected by loss. So it resonates… The use of hag stones was particularly wonderful. Thank you
I am pleased you liked it (is like the right word ?) you know what I mean. Yes Kara has the soul of a poet I think, how she has processed and expressed her personal loss is an inspiration. ❤️
very poinant words dear Katherine. Hope remains and the road ahead will show its way for you too. Healing is a process and you will find your road and see beauty. Sending love.
What an interesting and beautiful exhibition, thank you Kathryn for sharing. I'm hoping to go next week to see for myself. So looking forward to going, I'm so lucky to live fairly close by. ❤
Dear K3n, just wanted to say "you do you"😊,and please try not to be so apologetic for your overflow of feelings- it's part of what makes you so beautiful from inside out, authentic & a natural response to all. 🙏-wish l could visit the exhibition so it's great to have you share it with us. 😊❤Julia, Brisbane, Australia ❤ 🇦🇺 😀 🪃 hugs
What a lovely surprise to see this now and what an exhibition - mesmerising - I intend to watch it again tomorrow when I am fresher. The birds are so life-like and beautiful and Kara's words brought tears to my eyes - you did well to be able to read them! The "knitting yourself back together" nest made me smile. The dresses at the end are so full of emotion - it comes through the screen. I didn't know about the zooming in on your phone to read the text - you are so inclusive in the way you make your content and I really appreciate that. I'm so glad Kathryn that you have such lovely friends who are your soulmates. Big love as always from Scotland ❤❤
That was a superb tour of the exhibition and so very moving! What wonderful artists. I went to boarding school in Bruton which I now believe is quite a town - it was a hamlet in those days. Beautiful Somerset. Thoughts are with you Kathryn.
Kathryn- I was so sorry to hear about the current apple-cart-upset in your life. I’ve been watching you religiously all year and feel you to be a friend and mentor. Know that you are loved and respected and I hope you feel all of us holding you up while you make these necessary changes in your life. Love from Minnesota, USA. ❤
Such inspiring work from both artists. I loved Kara’s grey dress and chatelaine. What she wrote of her healing process was so moving. Angela’s stitching of the lovely birds is amazing. Thank you Kathryn for this wonderful insight to their work.
Oh Kathryn thank you so much for sharing this video with us of the amazing work by your dear friends Angela and Kara. What a wonderful show. I particularly appreciated Kara's words about loss, grief, healing and hope. so beautifully, perfectly expressed. so glad for you that you have these 2 lovely ladies as friends and a part of your wonderful and supportive community as you deal with your own changes. i hope you remember how much you are cared for by your TH-cam community who appreciates you and holds you up to the light. i love the deep thoughtfulness and consciousness that you bring to your work and to your TH-cam channel. you are a blessing to us all Kathryn. i am so grateful to you and thankful that you were moved to start your channel. linda from california
This had me in tears. You are incredibly brave Kathryn, for your new undertaking (been there, so I know how hard it is, and is going to be, for a while), and for sharing your heartache with us. This exhibition is so moving and Kara's pieces especially resonated with me (having lost 90% of everything a decade ago, but thankfully not to fire) and it's clear how meaningful this exhibition is for you. Hopefully Kara's healing gives you strength and encouragement. It won't be easy, but you'll get through this chapter, just as she has. As many of us have, and we are all here for you.
Thank you for sharing this video, Kathryn! It was very touching and even more so because it is you sharing it! I have been thinking of you frequently and lifting you up in my thoughts and prayers. You're a couragous woman and will persevere and be very successful. You have much support and love from all of us who admire you. Thank you for continuing to share life's beauty.
Kathryn, thank you. I have found peace and solace in your channel and all that you share with us. This exhibition and the words that you shared from both Kara and Angela are beautiful and so moving. You are in my thoughts and prayers as you begin rebuilding your life, may your journey be filled with love and care from all who cherish you.
Thank you so much for sharing this because I can’t come to the gallery, living in another country. I am so impressed by the art of both artist. The birds are incredible they look so alive, one would not be surprised if they flew of the walls. The grey dress and the story behind it was heartbreaking but to see how see overcame her lost is full of hope. Take care, love Tineke
Thank you Kathryn for sharing Angela and Kara’s amazing work with us. It made me think about the birds I took for granted in my childhood, which are gone or going. The corncrake, the yellowhammer, ring doves, pee wits and especially the swallows who signalled autumn as they lined up on the wires before flying off to Africa for the winter. I haven’t heard a cuckoo for years. What a wonderful way of trying to come to terms with loss through those beautiful pieces. Lots of love 💕
It's really sad isn't it? Where I lived in France, cuckoos were common, only a short distance away really. Also turtle doves I heard every day in summer. And all completely taken for granted by the locals. ❤️
So beautiful, so moving. Feelings expressed that are so recognisable, shared by our hearts but not always easy to share out aloud. Are they human or just female? I don't know the answer to that one but I do know you can recognise the answering response and understanding in another persons eyes. Thank you for this sharing, and for allowing us to hear your response to the words and the artistry. So precious. We are not alone. x
Beautifully done Kathryn. Fabulous artwork Angela and Kara, very moving. Eye opening how many birds and animals are becoming extinct. So sad. Kathryn your reading of the fire and lost really touched my soul of things lost in my life, too. Made me tear-up, as well.💚💛💚🐦
Thank you for making this film when you have so much to deal with. I really enjoyed seeing all the work. You said ‘MacGeoch’ perfectly😅. Best wishes for your future. You’re resourceful and creative and kind.
Thank you so much Kathryn for sharing this beautiful and moving exhibition. Each piece is beautiful and heartbreaking. And I thank Kara and Angela for using their talent in conveying powerful messages. I'm feeling the pain that each piece is transmitting so effectively. Thank you Kathryn for this very special video . ❤
The words of Kara are as moving as her work. I will write them down to have to read anytime. So beautiful. The endangered birds are so exquisite in the way they are crafted and have such movement and yes the eyes so vibrant and alive from stitches - such talent. The dresses are magnificent and I can't say much more at the moment - my emotions are getting the better of me despite being Scottish! I am sharing this with my daughter - I know she will love it. Big love from Scotland and a woof from Oscar ❤️🐶
Before I watched this presentation I had the distinct feeling that your little park home would become a forager's cottage. Totally engulfed in rescued and natural items that would work into your work.... unrestrained. Kara's work and journey was so relateable. Thanks for sharing.
Such sadness in the dress and the salvaged objects. I can empathise with the power of the ‘key’. It holds such a lot of meaning in different ways to different people. I remember after losing my first husband, how every evening at the same time my ears, unbidden, listened for his key in the door.
I am sorry, that's very sad. I agree about keys, so many layers of meaning, identified with home and comfort but can also represent being locked in or imprisoned. Interesting thoughts... ❤️
I live in West Dorset and have visited the exhibition. It's wonderful and thoughtful work. I did struggle with stitching on old legal documents (legal background in the days when these things were kept in strong rooms in strong boxes). Now I get the message and like some old fabrics these documents have a new and important purpose. I also loved Kara's work - particularly the clothes.
@@k3n.clothtales Hello Kathyrn, yes, I do know Paula. We have a small group that meets at Paula's house. Angela joined us for one session and I had the privilege of seeing the bird on the Indenture before it was framed. I could find space in my diary to attend another sewing group when you're ready.❤
Such moving and emotional exhibition. The birds are incredible but I was very touched by the dresses and the nests. I never lost a house in a fire, I can’t imagine what she must have felt, but I lost a house once and I kept my bedroom key. I have it stitched on a cloth book. Thank you for showing it to us, because, at least in Portugal and specially where I live, there are no textile art exhibitions. Sending much love 💙💚🩶🧡💜❤️🩵💛🤎🩷♥️
It's my pleasure to share it Alexandra. She is such a talented and beautiful soul to be able to process her loss through her art in this way. I am lucky to call her a friend. ❤️
Thank you for sharing this lovely and inspiring exhibition .I have been to the gallery which it self is an inspiring building . Wish I could pop along and see it in person but as i live in Scotland not so easy to do .Do pass on my congratulations to the artists.
Thank you Kathryn sharing this with us. I love birds and stitching so this is a must visit. I'm very lucky as I live not far away, so will pop along to see this is person. Beautiful and moving words xx
As I still feel like an absolute newbie in working with textiles it is so wonderful to see the creativity of others (in this case these two incredible artists!) with it, thanks for showing this Kathryn. I keep thinking of the visible mending you introduced me to, that your friend Kara does with her dresses and nests and that you will do as well with your beautiful stitching. 🍀💖🥰
Dear Kathryn, thanks so much for sharing this oh so thoughtful video of this most precious work. I hope perhaps in time you will be able to make a quilt to show the thoughts and feelings you are experiencing at this difficult time. Wishing you all the very best in your new home with your much loved furry family. Love Sue. 💐🪡🪶
Wow! Angela and Kara’s work are both mind blowing, raw and deeply moving. Your emotion IS absolutely fitting and valid and I really appreciate you sharing two more very special artists with us, thank you! It’s comforting knowing you are in such beautiful and emotionally available company. Wishing you so very well as you continue to ‘build’ your own nest. Frith❤
Thank you for sharing that beautiful work. Being in Australia there is no chance I'd get there to see it in person. Always wonderful to hear your gentle voice.
Thank you for the video showing us the the most amazing work by the two very talented ladies, just loved the birds, the stitching is just brilliant and they are so life like, and the wonderful nests were fabulous. 😊🇦🇺
Such beautiful creations, with such powerful meaning. I was so moved by both the exhibition and by your tender commentary. Thank you, Kathryn. Sending you love as you feather your nest. ❤😊
What a beautiful exhibition. The stitching is amazing. The time element that went into stitching each is just mind boggling. Thank you so very much for taking us along. Living across the pond I would never have been able to enjoy this without you. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you as you navigate the changes and challenges of life. Oh my, that spotted woodpecker is my arch nemesis as I have one that’s been pecking holes through the foam insulation under my three season porch, and nearly went through the actual floor. 😂
Thank you Sue, and for the chuckle about the woodpecker. There are plenty still where I lived in France but here, endangered as you saw. I hope your porch survives the onslaught. 😉❤️
@@k3n.clothtales I was able to solve the problem by hanging mirrors around the edge of the porch. They don’t like the reflection. They are endangered in the US as well. Pretty to look at but they can do a lot of damage.
A big hug for you Kathryn, may your sadness open up a new path of creativity. Life is beautiful. May your journey be full of hope.
Thank you Marietta ♥️
How stunningly beautiful and moving! Thank-you to Angela and Kara, and thank-you, Kathryn, for enabling those of us living far away to also enjoy and be touched and inspired by this exquisite exhibition. Sending much love. ❤
Thank you Jill, I will tell them both ❤️
Going through sad, heartbreaking times is so difficult, so hard, but these two exhibitions show us how coming through the dark times to the other side, endangers so much creativity, and how they uplift all of us with the beauty of their work.
Yes indeed, it is uplifting and above all, offers hope ❤️
Rebuilding your home and your life takes an incredible amount of courage and resilience. Much love going out to all who have had to do it again and again. ❤❤❤
I echo that sentiment Diane, thank you ❤️

You are deserving of these lovely friends, Kathryn. All of you overwhelm me with your ingenuity through respect and adulation of nature.
Thank you so much Ann 🙏❤️
I am in tears😢 this must be difficult and hopeful for you. Thank you for taking us along on this extraordinary exhibit...not only beautiful but you feel the despair and the hope.

Oh, my.... I am speechless. Their work touches my heart. Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure, they are incredible artists ❤️
Kara's story is very moving...heartbreaking and ultimately uplifting. I loved the tiny vessels from her meditative walks.
Angela's birds are beautiful and thought provoking.
Thank you for sharing.
Mary x
Hello Mary, I hope you are doing ok, you have been in my thoughts. Sending love ❤️
Thank you Kathryn for the fantastic video of the beautiful and inspiring display by your two friends. It is fabulous that we in Australia can see such creativity. Big hug, you are amongst friends both in spirit and in reality to give you that extra boost of courage for the next phase of life's journey. Best wishes
Thank you Fay I am blessed indeed with wonderful friends ❤️
Oh, what a powerful and lovely and poignant exhibit -- and your sharing of it with us. Thank you. Hearing your emotion in your voice was part of the beauty of this video and the exhibit for me, Kathryn. It was brave and beautiful of you to share this with us at this time of great change for you. It all draws me in.
Thank you Kate, I was happy to be able to share their beautiful work. ❤️
Omgosh, Kathryn, stunning!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I know this is one I will come back to, and watch over and over again. Just breath taking!!
My pleasure 😊
Thanks for sharing, the birds were amazing! I love listening to the turtle doves around my house. Also all the different birds around my area, my little town is right on the Mississippi River and we have all kinds of wildlife.
Thank you for sharing Kathryn. Emotive subjects well presented. Lovely to have your explanations xx
You are so welcome ❤️
Kathryn, you read the words so beautifully. I know those words meant so much to you.
I felt your emotions.
It was like her words were meant for you at this time of your life of from the hardships you’re going through right now. ❤That was a very special video, thank you for sharing. Sending hugs 🤗
I was so pleased to be able to share it here. And thank you for your lovely words ❤️
Thank you so much for the good vibes. Kara is amazing and an inspiration indeed ❤️
Mesmerised. If not for the book title, K3n saying thread drawing, would have thought the birds were quality 3D photography. OMG wonders of thread. More heroes shared 🙏.
Yes Angela is very talented indeed ♥️
Thanks for taking us to see this beautiful exhibit. Hang in there! We’re all thinking of you and hoping you’ll be settled in your new home soon. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much Donna ❤️
Thought provoking and beautiful. Thank you for sharing this wonderful exhibition. I found myself totally immersed or to be more modern, in the moment. Hope for nature and humankind is to be treasured. Love
My absolute pleasure Maureen, yes hope indeed is to be treasured ❤️
Thank you. So moving and beautiful.
Pure heart. And full of resilience and love x
Yes, thank you Rose ❤️
Thankyou for sharing this work by such inspiring artists. Such deeply emotional works of art. One of those nests entitled "knitting oneself back together", can apply to many of us who have experienced sadness or other difficulties. Wishing you a better future Kathryn.
Thank you Gina indeed, that resonated with me particularly ♥️
@@k3n.clothtales Yes I thought it would resonate with you, as you are knitting yourself back together. Try hard not to drop any stitches. ❤
Hello Jean, I am so sorry to hear that and relieved they escaped. It's so devastating. ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing that Kathryn. I only live just over an hour away so I hope to pop along. I watched the video between my fingers so that I only got an idea of the treats in store 😄
Warm hugs from one of your new friends x
I don't think it will disappoint in person, even after the spoiler 😁♥️
Thank you, such amazing work. The birds so life like, the dress gorgeous ❤️❤️❤️
My pleasure ❤️
Thank you so much Kathryn. What a treat
Glad you enjoyed it ♥️
Some people are soooo talented, and I so enjoyed looking at their work......Thanks to you Kathryn other wise I'd never know it existed♥.
My pleasure, I am so happy to share it ❤️
Dearest Kat... spent the day catching up with your video's, I am so saddened to hear of your recent change in life, but who knows, better things to come.... I so love watching your videos and listening to your accent, and of course learning from you. Thank you so much for all you do, you are fantastic and special! Blessed be!
Thank you so much Roxanne 🙏❤️
Thank you for being here, it makes me happy that you have discovered the joy and peace to be found in slowstitch ❤️
@@k3n.clothtales art as challenge is not a new idea, but creativity as healing and processing is just wonderful
very poinant words dear Katherine. Hope remains and the road ahead will show its way for you too. Healing is a process and you will find your road and see beauty. Sending love.
Thank you Alison ❤️
What an interesting and beautiful exhibition, thank you Kathryn for sharing. I'm hoping to go next week to see for myself. So looking forward to going, I'm so lucky to live fairly close by. ❤
Hello Helen I hope you enjoy it ♥️
Dear K3n, just wanted to say "you do you"😊,and please try not to be so apologetic for your overflow of feelings- it's part of what makes you so beautiful from inside out, authentic & a natural response to all. 🙏-wish l could visit the exhibition so it's great to have you share it with us. 😊❤Julia, Brisbane, Australia ❤ 🇦🇺 😀 🪃 hugs
Hello Julia, yes it's difficult for me, that Yorkshire upbringing.. 🙄♥️
Thank you, yes Bruton is quite buzzy, perhaps since they got Hauser and Wirth. And Somerset is still beautiful ❤️
Thank you so much Jill. I do indeed feel you all, as a supportive presence in my life. Thank you so much ❤️
Such inspiring work from both artists. I loved Kara’s grey dress and chatelaine. What she wrote of her healing process was so moving.
Angela’s stitching of the lovely birds is amazing. Thank you Kathryn for this wonderful insight to their work.
It's my pleasure, I am so happy to be able to share it with you ❤️
Oh Kathryn thank you so much for sharing this video with us of the amazing work by your dear friends Angela and Kara.
Hello Linda, thank you so much for your lovely message, I feel the love from this community, I am blessed indeed and very grateful for you all ❤️
Truly wonderful work. Very touching and inspiring. Lots of love to you all xx
❤️❤️❤️
So, so precious and exquisite! Thank you for sharing this exhibit. Thank you for so much, Kathryn. My heart is with you.
Thank you Candace, I appreciate that so much ❤️
This had me in tears.
Thank you Michelle, yes Kara is an inspiration and I am lucky to have her as a friend. ❤️
Thank you Leslie for your lovely message, I am very grateful for all the love and support ❤️
Thank you so much Lisa ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing this because I can’t come to the gallery, living in another country. I am so impressed by the art of both artist. The birds are incredible they look so alive, one would not be surprised if they flew of the walls. The grey dress and the story behind it was heartbreaking but to see how see overcame her lost is full of hope. Take care, love Tineke
My pleasure to share Tineke, they are both very inspiring and lovely people as well ❤️
Thank you Kathryn for sharing Angela and Kara’s amazing work with us.
We are not alone. x
Thank you Ruth, no we are not alone. I think being understood is one of the most important things. And to be loved for one's true self. ❤️
❤
Beautifully done Kathryn. Fabulous artwork Angela and Kara, very moving. Eye opening how many birds and animals are becoming extinct. So sad. Kathryn your reading of the fire and lost really touched my soul of things lost in my life, too. Made me tear-up, as well.💚💛💚🐦
Thank you Doreen. Kara's work is deeply moving ❤️
Thank you for making this film when you have so much to deal with. I really enjoyed seeing all the work. You said ‘MacGeoch’ perfectly😅. Best wishes for your future. You’re resourceful and creative and kind.
Oh thank you, that was more luck than judgement. 😉 And thank you so much for the good wishes ❤️
So happy for you being in your space and still sharing your crafting with us all. Praying for you. Thank you for all you do. 😊
Thank you so much ❤️
What a magnificent art show! Thank you for introducing these artists.
My pleasure ❤️
Thank you so much Kathryn for sharing this beautiful and moving exhibition. Each piece is beautiful and heartbreaking. And I thank Kara and Angela for using their talent in conveying powerful messages. I'm feeling the pain that each piece is transmitting so effectively. Thank you Kathryn for this very special video . ❤
I am so happy to share it Vivian ❤️
Sad to hear your news Kathryn but welcome home. ! I am loving your videos. On my 3rd Kawandi thanks to you. Best wishes Kay❤
Hello Dr Kay, I did a double take when I saw your name. How are you doing? Aside from the kawandi making? 😊❤️
Crying. Such a beautiful video.I 'm now looking for trains from York that fit my pocket. might need to find a bed too!
I am sure you will love it in person. ♥️
The words of Kara are as moving as her work. I will write them down to have to read anytime. So beautiful. The
endangered birds are so exquisite in the way they are crafted and have such movement and yes the eyes so vibrant and alive from stitches - such talent. The dresses are magnificent and I can't say much more at the moment - my emotions are getting the better of me despite being Scottish! I am sharing this with my daughter - I know she will love it. Big love from Scotland and a woof from Oscar ❤️🐶
Hello Margaret, you Scots and us Yorkshire folk have a lot in common with the expression of emotions don't we? 😉 Lots of love back to you both too ❤️
Before I watched this presentation I had the distinct feeling that your little park home would become a forager's cottage. Totally engulfed in rescued and natural items that would work into your work.... unrestrained. Kara's work and journey was so relateable. Thanks for sharing.
A forager's cottage - I love that, thank you ♥️
Such sadness in the dress and the salvaged objects.
@@k3n.clothtales yes, that’s also the case. Perhaps you could design a new key in stitching to open a new door…
Thankyou so much Kathryn xx
My pleasure Rosy ❤️
Beautiful creations! Amazing stitching and backstory. Take care Kate. Thanks for sharing this wonderful exhibition.
My pleasure ❤️
Incredible!!! Amazing!!! Gorgeous!!! Touching!!! Magnificent!!! Thank you for sharing! Hugs ❤
My pleasure, hugs to you too ❤️
You did a wonderful job, Kathryn. All such amazing talented work. Thank you. 😊
Thank you Anna ❤️
Such a beautiful exhibition. My profound thanks to both Angela and Kara. Wish I could see it in person.
I will pass on your thanks. I was so pleased to share it here. ❤️
Gorgeous work ❤
Kathryn I enjoyed this video very much, thank you for taking the time to share it. Take care ❤❤❤
My pleasure Cathy ❤️
Thank you for showing us Kathryn, it was beautiful. You are still in my thoughts x ❤
Thank you Helen ❤️
I live in West Dorset and have visited the exhibition. It's wonderful and thoughtful work. I did struggle with stitching on old legal documents (legal background in the days when these things were kept in strong rooms in strong boxes). Now I get the message and like some old fabrics these documents have a new and important purpose. I also loved Kara's work - particularly the clothes.
Hello Delphine, I think you know Paula? She mentioned a Delphine at the opening ♥️
Like @@delphine997 I would sign up for your classes, as would Rosie S. So that's 3 students already 😘
I will and thank you ♥️
Thank you Kathryn sharing this with us. I love birds and stitching so this is a must visit. I'm very lucky as I live not far away, so will pop along to see this is person.
Beautiful and moving words xx
That's wonderful Ali, I hope you enjoy it in person ❤️
As I still feel like an absolute newbie in working with textiles it is so wonderful to see the creativity of others (in this case these two incredible artists!) with it, thanks for showing this Kathryn. I keep thinking of the visible mending you introduced me to, that your friend Kara does with her dresses and nests and that you will do as well with your beautiful stitching. 🍀💖🥰
Hello Machteld they are very talented and inspiring. Much love to you ♥️

Thank you so much Wendy, Stella loves to play with feathers so she would enjoy that 😉❤️
What a wonderful exhibit and such talent …. Sending hugs
Thank you for the hugs ❤️
