Hello Patrick .. Thanks for this reaction!! Freddie wrote the music for the Barcelona album, a collection of duets!! The Golden Boy & The Fallen Priest lyrics were written by Sir Tim Rice! “Freddie ran out of lyrics” 😂😂 Freddie adored Montserrat Caballe! 💐💐💐

    YAAAY, THANK YOU, Pat!!
There is only ONE remaining live performance by these two that should be on your to-do list:
    “THE GOLDEN BOY”
    LIVE at LA NIT
(This is my FAVORITE of their live performances… Part opera, part gospel!)
There are also other gorgeous album tracts (just no official videos).
My two favorite songs (aside from “Exercises In Free Love” which you’ve already heard)…
    “ENSUENO”.
(This is the companion/follow-up to “Exercises…” There is a great fan-made video with ENGLISH SUBTITLES ON-SCREEN, since the lyrics are in Spanish.
    Also…
    “La Japonaise”.
(With Japanese lyrics… I haven’t checked to see if there’s a video with English subtitles.)🫶

Montserrat remembered to that night this way: "While he was singing, I noticed that his eyes were shiny with tears. I gave him my hand. He clasped it and kissed it. It was clear he was suddenly aware of his own fate. They were tears of farewell. It was his goodbye, at least to the stage."
If you want to listen to Montserrat, than check out Freddie's favourite aria sang by Montserrat, it's called D'amor sull'ali rosee. You will love it. Btw, it was played at his funeral.

Yay! I've been hoping you'd react to this one. I admit I did a little happy dance when I saw that you'd posted! This one was a life changing song for me, every emotion all at once. Especially when I learned how emotional Freddie got, his eyes full of tears when Montserrat reached out to hold his hand. They were beautiful together and loved each other very much. It pops into my head all the time so I'm sure I'll be back to re-watch this reaction again it's definitely my most favorite Freddie and Monserrat song so Thank You! ❤

Applause to you, President Pat, you said everything I wanted to say. This is a beautiful and very emotional song and you can see how much they cared for and respected one another. So happy that Freddie got to sing with the lady he thought was the most amazing soprano in the world, and so happy that she had the courage to step out of the box and sing with a rock star. Wonderful!

SIR!!! I put this video on pause at 6:06 because I want to ask you something and I don't want anything else to distract me from what I need to say. You, sir, earned my subscription AND a Like! I'm not sure how this is the very first of your videos I've seen and I don't subscribe to many reacters... but you... I counted 3x you held back tears. As I said, this is the first video I've seen from you so I don't know if that's something you do but for a very long time I thought I was the only person who could almost cry on demand while watching that beautiful soul delivering Angelic whispers into our ears. If there's a God and a Heaven, I have to conclude the whispers we're destined to hear sound a little like Fred and Montserrat. I have been almost obsessed (actually probably certifiably platonicly crazy in love with his soul) with Freddie and Montserrat, Freddie and Queen, and Freddie solo. I noticed once when you appeared to fight back a tear, he was singing about how he could go on. I need to know... was that tear drawn out by the beauty of his voice, or the unthinkable torturous and painful destiny that was fatally knocking on Fred's door? I'm all over the place here so i am really sorry if this sounds like the babbling of an idiot but I genuinely want to know if that knot in your throat was caused by angelic beauty or the unimaginable painful death coming his way. That's how it is for me.
If it is for you, too, then you must listen to "Who Wants to Live Forever." There's an ominous feeling that gives me goosebumps when he speaks about how some love must die. Anyway, sorry to waste your time and thank you for a wonderful reaction!

Since you haven’t reacted to them much, in case you’re unaware, Freddy was battling AIDS at the time and was getting sicker. This was one of his last performances. Montserrat has been quoted saying she saw him crying and reached out for his hand in which he then kissed as he teared up. Imagine if Freddy was born 25 years later. He would have lived a full life into his 80’s+ (i can hope)

With this song, he told Montsie he had HIV. So every time, it was a goodbye on stage. You can see that on his face. Every time there was a recording tape, what was used, if Freddie. Because It could be happen, that his voice didn’t get the high note’s anymore. Montsie said later in a interview how difficult it was for him to sing the song, because he knew there was no time for him left. ❤😢
