I know that hospital lol. I started there as a patient finance specialist in the ER! Went to nursing school and had my first nursing job there in the ICU as well. I have 7 more months of PMHNP school (if I can find preceptors) and would love to have that full circle moment there working 12’s. That would be a dream 😍
You must have felt me pining for an update. I'm so happy now! Great video as always. I also had to miss psych congress as Sept 6 was first day of school for our children in my area. Just no way to make it work. I am soooo sorry to hear of car accident for your daughter and God is soooo good wooooo He sent his angels of mercy right on around her😊. I agree about white coat syndrome. I even have newer patients feel nervous without coat. I have them start session with breath exercise to calm anxiety. This helps them calm and discuss what is pertinent at our sessions. Anxiety can be awful when ppl don't know how to use it properly but that is another story. Thank you for taking us on this journey with you.😊
Heeeyyyy!!! That’s a good strategy breathing exercises! But not in this setting lol.. thank you yes God is faithful the angels were definitely surrounding her..this contract is interesting more updates coming! As always thank you for watching 💕🙏🏾
Yes! He is ever on The Throne watching over His servants ❤️ I was thinking about just how different our settings are and how that impacts the care we able to give. I work in a state run outpatient clinic. My office is relatively quiet and try to provide patients with soft place to land even if for a short while. However, in the jail or prison facilities I am sure it is more about doing your best to assess, treat, and keep it moving. Neither is good or bad. Just different. I am grateful you are there to give them care because I know you bring compassion to whatever you do. Keep standing in the gap for humanity Angel. I am always so happy to watch your updates.
First 2 weeks of PMHNP school and I’m watching your video to keep me motivated….after reading, reviewing, discussion boards, researching articles, etc 😵💫
Make sure you get a psych in inpatient psych or some sort. Psych is more of an art than it is a science, nothing is cut and dry most is trial and error and overall Experience is more educational than any book will every teach you.
Hi angel, I currently work corrections and has been working with psych patients the past year. Psych has always been the specialty of choice for me. Recently lost my brother whom of which struggled with mental illness. I’m currently researching psych NP schools. Hopefully this career path is in Jehovah’s will.
I’m sorry to hear that and I hope you take some time to grieve properly! I went to Walden I have some videos on it somewhere down my timeline.. if you really love psych I think you should go back to school for it
No I don’t! The first jail was 5/8s with call! This one is 3/12s no calls.. I like this better! I don’t mind call but they aren’t offering it here! Thanks for watching
Small world but I know that hospital had worked at its main hospital as well as the correctional facilities for almost 15 years combined😂 I loved all the experiences I received from it🎉
I AM SO GLAD I FOUND YOUR CHANNEL! DO YOU HAVE AN INSTAGRAM OR FACEBOOK?? I AM A NURSE PRACTITIONER AS WELL- I DO NOT WORK IN PSYCH RIGHT THIS SECOND BUT MAJORITY OF MY EXPERIENCE IS WITHIN PSYCH AND CORRECTIONS AS WELL.
