In this video, I showcase the process of upgrading an Airsoft Real Sword SVD into a powerful, reliable, and skirmish ready DMR. I go through an initial test and I demonstrate the benefits of a new bucking, R-Hop, and tune up.
I haven't uploaded on this channel in 5 years, and I'm hoping to put out more videos similar to this one in the near future.
Meant to say nub @4:20 ... Don't cut your buckings in half folks!
All the music in this video was written and produced by either me or a bandmate. Most of these songs are unpublished.

Great job! Awesome result! However I would recommend adding the so-called "Real Sword Gearbox Unlocked Switch for SVD" (which I didn't see in your video). This tiny guy really helps when the RS SVD locks up. As the gun cycles there is one cycle point that causes the lockup. Pretty standard for the RS SVD (especially when it's fired rapidly) and airsoft AK's. In fact If you shoot any AEG on semi enough you will get a lock up sooner or later. The only way to get rid of it is utilizing the above-mentioned switch. In order to completely get rid of the problem we need to remove the cutoff lever. Thus, we need to run a programmable mosfet. I did so on one of my RS SVDs. I installed some Russian-made mosfet named ARM V Pro and programmed it accordingly (this particular mosfet has so many parameters to play with: trigger response, length of burst, rate of fire etc.). Now my SVD shoots without any lock up trouble as I threw away the cutoff lever thanks to the above-mentioned mosfet. I bet there are similar mosfets in the West as well. Thanks for your great video and good luck!)
Исмаил Майлибаев that’s all very useful information! The manual mentioned an unlock key but unfortunately there wasn’t one with the gun when I received it. I will definitely look into those mosfets!!! Thank you for the comment 🙂👍
@@anttechairsoft no problem! You are perfectly welcome! The mentioned mosfet really solves this issue on any AEGs.
I live the Fawcett's washers and for the same reasons you do lol.
You can use tape to shim the motor and remove the rotation.
Well done comrade (y) Congratulation.
Prommy purple buckings are flat no mound ? J s they also suck as you found out
Prommy purples have mounds
Why is the fps so low with an m150 and 600mm barrel ?
It just do 👌🏻local field limits cap at 500fps with a .25... seems as though some tweaks occurred off camera 🤫
i have difficulties also in this RS SVD. Separately, i also have S&T SVD, after couple of optimization, it shot very well around 470 fps with 0.3g. Stock spring. meanwhile, my RS version only shot around 370 fps at 0.3 g although I exactly did the same thing as my S&T version
Hey if you end up with an A and K SVD AEG could you do this kind of video for it ?
Ian Oliver Potentially... 😎
I have a full original Real Sword svd. I have it hanging on my wall, just for the looks. I am not sure what to do, I am more of collector type so what would be more valuable? A full original package, non modified (even with the stickers) or a modified version?
TheWillem , when you say valuable, do you mean in terms of $$$ or skirmishability? I think for this particular gun, a never opened, like-new package would be very appealing/ safe for someone looking to own one for skirmishing. I would prefer to buy a like-new gun over something that someone else modified.
A modified version is as valuable as someone is willing to pay for it. That’s kind of the case with the former example too, but with the former, you can better reference the retail price since it is like-new. If umbrella armory built a RS SVD I would bet that more people would spend more $$$ on that than if someone with less reputation built it.
If it’s for you and you are a collector, I’d say don’t mess with it. I have a TM Famas F1 that I just keep for collectors sake.
Hope that answers your question!
@@anttechairsoft Thanks for your response. I better keep it original and closed! You did a really nice job on this svd from the vid, what will be your next project?
TheWillem I am currently editing a GAT repair, CA XM177 build, and a PKM rebuild! 😎
