J. None was a regular member of VoicePlay from 2018 --> the summer of 2021, when he joined the U.S. Navy to sing in the Navy choir. He returns to sing with VP when he can get leave. This is his second full video with them since the start of this year (he's also in a couple of their Shorts).
I love that they have J staring out across the water at the beginning. He’s been away and now he’s come back. Previously they did a cover of My Mother Told Me (also associated with the video game Assassin’s Creed). The makeup and a lot of the costuming is from MMTM. Among their tattoos are runes spelling out VoicePlay. Layne (beatboxer ) did the arrangement and Eli (bald rock god) the amazing backgrounds. It was filmed, not green screen, but at a studio with immense (Full wall!) LED screens.
They out do themselves every time! I cannot stop watching this, it is amazing!! Geoff hits 3 B0's! Eli has become the Asgardian god of rock, Layne is a beatboxing god, Cesar has become a Berserker, and J None has shown us that rap indeed belongs in acapella! And Miracle of Sound gave this 10 out of 10 raised ale horns!! Great reaction! This from the Assasins Creed Valhalla video game, but that rap is all J None!!
Geoff as deep as he is singing here, is like Tim Foust and can very much access his upper register and sing in tenor range. He really showcases it in his solo video for The Sound Of Silence. That was a phenomenal song. Voice Play has so many other videos to offer. In all different styles. I hope you react to them more
J.None was a member of VoicePlay until he left in 2021 when he was invited to sing with the US Navy music section. He has returned to sing with the guys occasionly when on leave. I think the first time was in Friends On The Other Side but he's done a few since, like the recent Nothing Else Matters.
Besides seeing your face when Geoff hit that b-0, I knew your jaw would drop when J-None started to rap. Wasn't that fun...? Good to see you enjoying some VoicePlay.
i laughed you when you said thats Geoff's highest. lol. you havent seen some of his other videos like Hoist the colors, Oogie Boogie or Blackbird if you think that. Now this was a month ago so maybe you know now lol
@MiracleofSound, aka Gavin Dunne, the composer of this song, gave these guys 10 alehorns out of 10. Love it when the original artist appreciates the cover. You definitely need to check out Seven Nation Army. Even if you don’t like the song I guarantee you’re going to feel differently about Voiceplay’s version. They just keep leveling up, every time they drop a new song.
J. None was a member of their group, and now comes back occasionally for a feature on songs. This and My Mother Told Me are my favorites. Love your reaction.
Listening to you sing at the end of the video -- wow -- you have an amazing voice! Loved hearing you sing. I know your channel is called ThatSingerReactions -- now I've got to go see if you've got videos of yourself singing, because you are good!
That "shields and spears" actually reverberates in my chest.... every time I hear this. It's just something about a bass.... I love most versions of this song that I've seen. Many of Tim's lower notes do that too.
Think of Norse mythology, Valhalla was were warriors went to serve after death. That's were the distney comes in to play. Love how they always get into the setting of the story. Glorous performance!
I was waiting for you to react to this one. It's one of my VP favorites. I'm only about halfway through watching your reaction, and I paused it, so I could write this. There are a few moments that shine above the rest in this video. Geoff's quakebass in the beginning, including that lonnnnnnng undernote. Eli's devastatingly high verse, the same pitch as Whitney Houston sang a lot. And, of course, "that moment" from J-None. This is from the game, Assassin's Creed. ***************** Great reaction, as usual. :) And listening to you sing various parts: damn but you got a great voice.
J.None was on a break from the military when they filmed this. You probably remember him with longer hair. He was in the group back when Earl was in it. Still the same dude. 😁
Perhaps the game you were searching for is Skyrim? If so, please check out "The Dragonborn Comes," where they sing the Skyrim theme. The other game song they did was "Halo," really awesome!
Geoff has practiced getting even lower nowadays, since you last reacted to VP. You saw JNone in Oogie Boogie and in Bridge Over Troubled Water. Cesar joined them shortly before Hoist the Colours, when JNone had left.
Fun fact: Vikings actually used to do what is called "Flyting" and is basically battle rap considering it was simply guys making insulting poems at each other. XD So them adding a rap verse in this was so genius!
You're talking about J None. He was a member of Voiceplay till he went into the military. He does stuff with them when he's on leave. Hope he comes back after his stint.
Geoff actually has a really wide range despite the low notes in this song. If you haven't already, you should check out Geoff Castelucci's cover of Far over the Misty Mountains Cold.
at 3 mins you did that riff and you said that is his (Geoff Castellucci) you need to check out more of voice plays music one i recommend is their cover of oogie boogie man
J. None is not new. he left to sing for the Navy in 2021 and sings with Voiceplay as often as he can. as far as Geoffs range, he can sing tenor also. his range is like 5 octaves. th-cam.com/video/EbxkOntz2SA/w-d-xo.html
By the way, there's no need to blur out Voiceplay videos, they never strike reactors. They even want reactors to react because it gets the word out.
Literally everything they’ve put out this year so far has been insanely phenomenal. You’ve got a lot of catching up to do.
Yes! They have taken it to a new level!

Kudos to Eli for the fantastic backgrounds.

just to help you and us....the only group you need the filter on is PTX....home free and voice play is filter free...
Have you seen their cover of Friends On The Other Side? Phenomenal
J.None was a member of VoicePlay until he left in 2021 when he was invited to sing with the US Navy music section. He has returned to sing with the guys occasionly when on leave. I think the first time was in Friends On The Other Side but he's done a few since, like the recent Nothing Else Matters.
Its giving Assassins Creed because this song was made for AC: Valhalla
New fan, love your reactions
Just in the past 2 days, I've watched about 20 reactors reactions to this song. It's absolutely amazing, and all are awed by it.
Yes, all of the guys have ridiculous ranges and insane talent. They're amazing!! Thanks for the reaction!
Besides seeing your face when Geoff hit that b-0, I knew your jaw would drop when J-None started to rap. Wasn't that fun...? Good to see you enjoying some VoicePlay.
Completely outdid themselves on this. It has become my favorite. Great reaction!!
Absolutely correct. All 5 of them are amazing !!!
i laughed you when you said thats Geoff's highest. lol. you havent seen some of his other videos like Hoist the colors, Oogie Boogie or Blackbird if you think that. Now this was a month ago so maybe you know now lol
This made my whole night. Love your reactions, love VoicePlay - it’s a match made in heaven. Awesome!
another fantastic Voiceplay production ❤🏴

Thanks for a great reaction. Yeah, this is one of my favorites, too!
Loved your reaction and your voice. I have now found a new group to follow because of you
That "shields and spears" actually reverberates in my chest.... every time I hear this.
It's just something about a bass.... I love most versions of this song that I've seen.
Many of Tim's lower notes do that too.
Your video sound is above and beyond another's period. Ty very much.
Fabulous reaction as always! 💜
Highly recommend their cover of Nothing Else Matters and Geoff's cover of 16 Tons.
I was waiting for your reaction. You did not disappoint. Absolutely great reaction!!!
Think of Norse mythology, Valhalla was were warriors went to serve after death. That's were the distney comes in to play. Love how they always get into the setting of the story. Glorous performance!

Great reaction, as usual. :)

J.None got married during this leave.
@@barbarakennedy2667 Yes he did! The videos from the wedding were beautiful.
I'm so glad you reacted to this one! It is 🔥🔥🔥
Was waiting for this one! Epic work from them!
Loved your singing along! Please do more VoicePlay reactions... I only go for these. Just liked & subscribed. Thanks...
LOVE watching your face as each one surprised you....One of my favs also...Blessings to you!!!
Damn Geoff got you good in this one, you immediately perked up and paid attention to him
Perhaps the game you were searching for is Skyrim? If so, please check out "The Dragonborn Comes," where they sing the Skyrim theme. The other game song they did was "Halo," really awesome!
Geoff has practiced getting even lower nowadays, since you last reacted to VP. You saw JNone in Oogie Boogie and in Bridge Over Troubled Water. Cesar joined them shortly before Hoist the Colours, when JNone had left.
the "new guy" you saw was J. None who was a Former member of Voice Play before leaving to go to the Navy. Its good to see him return when he can.
Fun fact: Vikings actually used to do what is called "Flyting" and is basically battle rap considering it was simply guys making insulting poems at each other. XD So them adding a rap verse in this was so genius!
Need to see more of the video. They don't block since they are independent and pay the copyright fees
You missed his B0. When everything goes quiet and the guy says "meeeeeee" right before the bass does his solo
If you think that is Geoff's highest octave then Check out "Oogie Boogie's Song"! by Voiceplay ;>) He might go as high as you!
You're talking about J None. He was a member of Voiceplay till he went into the military. He does stuff with them when he's on leave. Hope he comes back after his stint.
If you haven't, you need to check out the cover of nothing else matters by metallica
That IS my favorite by them!
Geoff actually has a really wide range despite the low notes in this song. If you haven't already, you should check out Geoff Castelucci's cover of Far over the Misty Mountains Cold.
My love for home free has gotten me into more acapella and not gonna lie this is fire
Geoff really shows off his range in his cover of The Sound of Silence.
Also the Oogie Boogie song with VP
The bass (geoff castellucci) has a 5 octave range from B 0 on up.
This was really GOOD 👊 PEACE Y'ALL.☝️🎇🤓
at 3 mins you did that riff and you said that is his (Geoff Castellucci) you need to check out more of voice plays music one i recommend is their cover of oogie boogie man
You just don't want it to end...
I love this channel
Great reaction
Awesome
Will you be reacting to more Voiceplay?
If you haven't seen the original version by MiracleofSound yet I recommend you check it out as well.
Geoff hits a B0 for 30 seconds.
That him was J. None. He has been away from the group for a while.
Geoff just keeps getting lower and lower doesn't he 😂
That's J.None.
You need to react to Jonathan young’s hoist the colours
J. None is not new. he left to sing for the Navy in 2021 and sings with Voiceplay as often as he can. as far as Geoffs range, he can sing tenor also. his range is like 5 octaves. th-cam.com/video/EbxkOntz2SA/w-d-xo.html
Valhalla Calling is from Assassins Creed Valhalla. 🤫
please forgive but you look like Warren Sapp when he was young!!!! vlog on my friend.
U should go back to Geoff Castellucci he got some good covers on there
Seems you have some catching up to do.
hahahhaahahhaahahahah
