I heard EC in Pittsburgh in 2013. When I tell people I heard Clapton in his prime, they invariably ask, "When, in the Late Sixties?" My response is, "No, in Clapton's late 60's." As another poster said, EC has peaked several times. He may not be God, but his playing is divine.
I agree with you about the statement of Eric playing THIS song! @peter Karlberg in ‘64 his best blues solos were those recorded on the songs “have you heard(about my baby) on the John Mayal blues breakers LP, and “Sleepy Time time” on Fresh Cream IMO setting early standards for the quintessential 12 bar blues solo. the solo on”have you ever loved a woman” is another of the same and even longer

Maybe not in recent years, but there's plenty of audio bootlegs and soundboards of Clapton going off, the 80s and '90s especially, all the way through about 2005/06
Incroyable d'intensité et de dévotion pour le Blues. La façon avec laquelle il démarre la chanson, avec le "so much" hors micro montre à quelle point il est complètement habité. La scène, le public, on dirait que plus rien n'existe à ce moment-là.
@Ericclaptonmusic Many moons ago..lol Seen Mr. Clapton as a headliner and @ a blues festival in Dallas,TX. Late 80's & 90's. Always had a wonderful experience!

EC was the reason I picked up the guitar in the 60s and still play. He is still making amazing music but I think he and the band were in another world on this night and this was one of his best bands when he was really back to his blues.
Eric finally fillmore the holy grail of your concerts of all time. Picture and sound are finally absolutely brilliant. Please put all the songs of this concert on your channel. Or do a Blue Ray. You should never have sold the ES 335. Have you ever loved a woman is just incredible to listen to.
Right... Polyphia can go and shred for decades to come and massive respect to them, absolute gems, no disrespect here. But oh my god, Tim Henson will never play like this. This is coming straight out of Eric's gut, yes it's basic blues scales but still, nobody will ever replicate that feel, it's spot on, incredible. The timing, the attack, knowing when to step back. Love you Eric, honestly, this is about as perfect as it gets.
we'd probably make good friends. I'm also familiar with that band. Heck, I even made mashups on my channel using Polyphia tunes. Both Eric and Buddy Guy can wail, each having their own character sound/ style of playing that I really warm up to. I guess the same can be said for Henson, but he definitely lacks that feeling from wailing in the blues.
I'm 62. I was into hard rock in the 70s 80s..the only song I knew was "cocaine" as time went on I became a blues lover..Clapton IS the best he's got is own genre...
This is a goldmine that took nearly 30 years to unearth - can you believe? Glad to have the Deluxe edition. Lucky to have witnessed the two blues-only shows he played in Barcelona back in 1995.... Unlucky I was just 22 at the time and without money to attend additional dates.... If anyone's reading this, please talk the man into the possibility of revisiting From The Cradle when a new album is considered. I attended both gigs in London last month and God knows he can still play.

Maybe not in recent years, but there's plenty of audio bootlegs and soundboards of Clapton going off, the 80s and '90s especially, all the way through about 2005/06
Oh my God I am blown away thank you
Incroyable d'intensité et de dévotion pour le Blues. La façon avec laquelle il démarre la chanson, avec le "so much" hors micro montre à quelle point il est complètement habité. La scène, le public, on dirait que plus rien n'existe à ce moment-là.
Beautifully said!
This is the best version of this song I have heard!! Pure magic from the finest guitar player of our time!!!!
That's trouble and pain. ✌️🔥
Once again
Clapton is God!!!!
Doesn't everyone's air guitar give you the same intense emotion on your face as well? Thank you Mr. Clapton for once again goosebumps on my arms!
@Ericclaptonmusic Nice to meet you as well. I've been listening to Mr. Clapton for many years. He's a true legend!
@Ericclaptonmusic Many moons ago..lol Seen Mr. Clapton as a headliner and @ a blues festival in Dallas,TX. Late 80's & 90's. Always had a wonderful experience!
Eric Clapton goes absolute crazy in this !! Gorgeous!
EC does an excellent job with Freddie King's classic.
Keep up be strong everybody spreading good vibes is never enough fans love youuuuu guys
Hello! I don't mean to bother you, but for
some reason you came up in the comment box but I do not think I know you, I thought I just write and say hello, maybe we could be friends, I hope you are comfortable with that 😍
The solos cement in my eyes that Clapton is GOD !! Simply out of this world, not a note misspent!!
Slowhand : he Is It Man , Just a Living LEGEND !
My hero this man is. He has pulled me through so many hardships with his music. Truly amazing and heaven sent. First show was 49 years ago for me and the most recent last Saturday. Thank you so much Mr Clapton for everything you have done!!😅
Never thought I'd click this fast on an eric Clapton video
Clapton at his PEAK! Not just electric, six string perfection - of course - but those gutsy "I feel AWFUL!" vocals! What a set of pipes!
Love Eric Clapton music ❤
He's a master, period. Whoever invented the electric guitar had Eric Clapton in mind as the only one who could play it to its full potential.
till Eric hears for the first time Jimi Hendrix....Eric stood backstage with shaking hands...asking himself whether Jimi was that good...see the BBC docu: th-cam.com/video/KPJgtQwtVVA/w-d-xo.html
but Jimi was, nd I think it was Jimi who fully understood what an electric guitar can do..
nevertheless...this is a real great playing, we had a concert with him in the seventies and he's much better here..
You probably will change your mind after listened to some Hendrix albums...
This versión is the personification of the words Amazing, Beautiful, and Perfect. Thank you Mr Eric Clapton
Ahhhh the feels! Love Sir Eric Clapton!

EC was the reason I picked up the guitar in the 60s and still play. He is still making amazing
music but I think he and the band were in another world on this night and this was one of his best bands when he was really back to his blues.
I love the collaborations. His understanding of the music is unrivaled genius equaled only by his guitar
This is peak performance
He can make a 335 really cry and scream out loud.
God bless you, Erick
This is the first time I’ve ever really seen Eric totally go off with his heart & soul. Chills & goosebumps❤❤❤❤❤
Eric was on 110 percent,he is the best
But this really is outrageous and his vocals extreme, peak of his career
Eric finally fillmore the holy grail of your concerts of all time. Picture and sound are finally absolutely brilliant. Please put all the songs of this concert on your channel. Or do a Blue Ray. You should never have sold the ES 335. Have you ever loved a woman is just incredible to listen to.
La deidad de la guitarra, el Señor eric clapton .
It was about time to release that "Nothing But The Blues". Live in the Nineties. Eric at his BEST
Loved it!
I haven’t seen all of Eric’s concerts, but I’ve seen a bunch. The solo is tops by a head and shoulders.
one of the best takes of his “Have you ever...”!!!
Eric Clapton - one of my favorites artist . His voice and guitar make my soul happy . Keep going Eric.
Mister slow-hand is magic
I just can’t get enough of this guy and his guitar ❤️🎸❤️
All loves opera's Clapton!!! Gaby
Props to Eric! In my top 3 and there is no order to my top 3.
Who are the other 2?
Well said my friend! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

The perfect guitar/player combination...Eric Clapton and a 335. Nothing comes close.
Oh, my God! This version made me cry. If one day someone asks why he is God, show that person this performance.
EC's always been a 'guitar man', but his singings gotten much better, too. Put in some horns and Freddie's smiling down from blues heaven.
The one and only Eric Clapton 👑
Better than brilliant. Most probably the best live blues performance of all time. Literal legend!
Watch Freddie King perform this.
