For everyone complaining about scanning. It's not scanning cargo because you are at a 0% Pierce (right bar) in the scan mode. Wheel up to get it to 100% to get the data on the ship. 0% pierce is generally only used to PING to get a general idea of stuff around you.

Picking up a connie when I get back to shore. I dont care that its digital. It doesn't rust, and doesn't suck up slip fees.
Taurus lover here, few observations:
1. Scanning is trash
2. Set keybind for open/close all doors makes looting much more streamlined.
3. Bring your ship closer to the target and set your shields to 100% power and make sure you are not in nav mode. (I got blown up multiple times by spawning npcs while looting or selling on settlements).
4. Remove all high value cargo from the bounty ship and only then move it all together to your ship, dont go back and forth.
Just few min/max nitpicky tips.

Scanning is garbage for now.
In patch 4.0 when they do a scan, and with other systems, Aquila will be better, because of the tank capacity, and the scan will give more information.
Taurus all the way! Cheaper costing vehicle and more storage. Who honestly needs a snub fighter?!?
I'm a Connie lover too, my Taurus is my favorite ship.
I went back and forth between an andromeda and the corsair 3 or for times, I loved the connie more but the view out of the bridge killed it for me. Finally upgraded to tha Anquilla and never looked back. didn't notice having less missles, had a little more boost speed but most importantly I could finally live with the damn view. Great vid as always brother. Take care
They've made it the slowest variant now :( it's SCM is around 150, top NAV around 950

@@Jarvis_aka_UgunnH8This Ignore the website, erkul has the actual stats. Every other variant has 200 SCM, I think the aquila is 146 or 148
Im glad im not the only one who prefers the Aquila simply for the better cockpit :)
How is the aquila cockpit different from the Taurus? They are the same I've flown both and not noticed a difference
@@yamahamadness13 The aquila is the only connie with the rounded cockpit windows, the others have a more angular point.
Absolutely, aquila is awesome and yes the cockpit destroys the others.
I love my Taurus. The Connie view is one of the best, and has a fantastic HUD layout. I can't wait till she gets brought up to gold standard, and we get weapons racks and such.
I don't think anything could be classified as "Extreme Risk Threat" with AI like that....
I live in Orison, so I just load the Taurus up with Hephaestanite and haul her home. No combat required. It's not huge money, but I'm not risking millions per load with a bigger ship.
I got myself a phoenix this ilw. Love it. Such a nice allrounder.

I agree, the Caterpillar is such a cool ship. I'm not sure it'll be one that I use as much after the incoming cargo refactor, but I will always want to have one in my hangar just to take out for funsies
This was the first "big" ship I purchased in SC. I have always been about exploration. It was all of my elite level gameplay in ED. Soon as I saw the Connie, I had to purchase her. The old school look with the nacelles did it for me and the cockpit of the Aquila as well. Well done video.
Love the Connie! When scanning, once you are on the target use your scroll wheel to increase the intensity - you had it at zero which is a 360 degree scan.
I love the Akwweela too. It’s great!
I don’t think the capacitors got nerfed per say. All laser cannons share the capacitors so all four run out quicker compared to let’s say if you used two laser and two Gatling. That’s how I understand it at least. I guess it is a nerf at the end of the day lmao. What mission did you grind to get to ERTs? All my MRTs are ground targets and bunkers and all my VLRTs are in the middle of nowhere and take 30 minutes to do.
Any of the bounty hunter missions will give you rep for the grind. And you have to look at the description to tell now. In crusader it will say something like "armed allies" for FPS bounties, and "multi crew" or vessels or ships if it's ship combat. I usually see two FPS MRTs in the least before I get to the ship combat MRT
You might like the Crossfield quantum drive more. The difference in travel times is negligible, but it sips on fuel. You can chain multiple bounties together before heading back to refuel/repair.
I regret melting my Pheonix so much... I did'nt knew this was a limited ship !!
I'll take the Connie over the Corsair every day. I own the Andromeda... The Galderenes it comes with are crap, but it doesnt take long to find s5 cannons laying around
corsair's capacitors are pretty bad to at the moment, I think its 9 shots per charge on the omnyskies.
but if you put some ballistic gatlings on it really shreds, in one slow pass you can rip apart a starlifter.
but then you need to rearm every 2-3 bounties, so all in all you're probably right to use the conny to grind!
Can't wait for Constellation gold standard rework...will replace my corsair with an Aquila then.
meanwhile my corsair got bent over the table on an MRT bc the AI decided they were actually gonna fight back unexpectedly lmao

I go to Brio’s, 3 NPC attack ships blow my ship to bits. You go, and nothing? I don’t get it.
the npc is a joke to look at they do not resist much in normal fight whare done long time ago vs such ships they just stand still an do nothing much

If I could only own one ship in Star Citizen, it would be a version of this ship.
My go to is the Taurus (more capacity, the combat turret is on top to me more useful) so I'm there with you on the connies being highly effective. Side note: I'm not sure why people in 3.23 bother changing the shields at all. They now have literally the same stats in every way per size. e.g. All S3 shields have the same hp, the same regen, the same health, the same EM, everything regardless of the class, grade or manufacturer. but changing from stock to a milspec FR-86 in the case of S3, costs around 100k aUEC but offers literally no improvement of any stat, trait from the stock shield. Old habits maybe?

Small suggestion, if you like the connie for ERTs, you should try the 600i.
Two S3 shields, more HP than a Redeemer and you get 30 shots for each M7A with full power to weapons.
A load of S3 missiles too. Takes down ERTs with ease
Yeah, but the lack of cargo makes it a no-go for me. Point of ERTS is the loot
@@OneNutSupreme you can fit 24 boxes of 2 SCU weavel eggs and hold loose cargo in the lift area
i dont think that you know but, on this patch, the Aquila got less NAV and SCM speed than the others so its slower, the agility and weapons are exactly the same as the others, the Taurus is cheaper and has a lot more cargo..... but it doesnt matter now, you already got the Aquila, use it, a Connie is a Connie and they all are awesome.
I did know that, but that's okay. I've had this thing for a little over a year, and I still love it regardless of it being slower.
i really like the constellation for hauling a roc, just wish it wasnt so pricey XD i wana get into more ships but i capped myself at the prospector i cant afford anything else right now
hopefully we'll get a full PU without wipes soon so i can work on playing/earning them ingame just cant be asked to do it then get wiped
We haven't had a wipe in over a year and a half. I wouldn't worry about the game wiping too much. I know one is coming with 4.0, but who knows when that's gonna be.
connie lover here, My favorit is Phoenix that I have piano for :P But Taurus is more usefull now because of cargo running (NO Fucking glitching exploit) But for going around with my Nursa etc I take the phoenix for the better room on the sides at the cargobay. My general loadouts are 2 M7A laser Cannons on top and bottom I use Deadbolts. On both connies, and missles using is Rattlers on the Taurus size 2's. and Arrows size ones 24x on phoenix as it can't use size 2's.
i agree the corsair is a weak in the wing it sucks
This ship is all you need to start your adventures in Star Citizen. With it you will be able to do an ERT, Haul Cargo and complete Bunkers. With the cash you will be rolling in you will then build your in-game fleet with the addition of a vulture for salvage. Your only issue will then be cargo space in your hanger for all the containers of CASH.
Frankly saying the Aquila has a much better view than the o5her connies is .... meh. When i flight it for the first time, i thought, "This is what cig call "a better view"?" You still get these weird metal pieces all over the place. Origin pilots should laugh surely.
Connie need definetly some Rework. Even with better canopy, MFD's obstructing a view so much. Corsair have much better visibility. I'd love to see one day upgraded version.
I love the Aquila for the better cockpit too, but I just cant turn down FIFTY TWO missiles on the andromeda. regardless, I'm a deadbolt corsair man. the profile is bigger and bulkier but its still just as agile, so I find I can roll 1 ERT without losing shield, then take the cargo and go to rearm and sell if its anything worth over a few mil

I get about 75fps on Orison and a little over 100fps in space. I'm running an i9 13900KF and a 4060 Ti

I hope all the Connie’s get a rework and better cockpits! I fly the Taurus for cargo/ground vehicles. Might swap to a Zeus maybe even if it has less firepower, we will see. Connie is getting so dated it hurts and it’s still so amazing!
I've been really enjoying doing ERT as a duo. 1 flies the F8c and the other hangs back in a reclaimer. The F8c basically doesn't get hit and with an all cannon loadout takes these things down almost as fast as you were here. After the fight the reclaimer cleans up the trash. Each A2/C2/M2 or Starfarer is worth about the same as an HH, a reclaimer is worth 3x that! Was making really good money from that, and you aren't stuck praying for decent cargo.
Agree re the Corsair, im constantly losing wings, and ending up with large repair bills as consequence. Have none of those issues with my andromeda and erts are just easy in them with the m7a’s
so much "big" ships. Is it possible to create a beacon with so many ships and sell it to a reclaimer or salvage ship? Its worth millions for salvage... could be a good side money income?
in scan mode, try using mouse wheel to adjust right side of scanner (PIERC) to 99%. I think that makes the close up, dead ahead scan work better. i really enjoyed the vid

After doing a bunch of ERT's this patch I've seen that even when scanning works and says there's nothing, there could still be cargo. Also I have yet to see an ERT cat have cargo ever.
The Taurus has been my beacon, my savour since 3.23 has dropped. I myself have been using the Constellation Taurus more than anything this patch so far.
I use the corsair and andromeda mainly for erts. I have noticed i pay more for damages on the corsair vs the connie. Both either way with MA cannons or my favorite right now is ballistic cannons slightly kills faster and doesn't use as much ammo as youd think. I use an eclipse here and there for fun lol. This vid did make me want to upgrade to the aquila purely for the cockpit view.
Connie very good ship exept one huge minus compare to Corsair its guns located on rear it means you cant use normaly in gimbal mode. If you want it as daily driver you must use it in every situation and sometimes you will encounter small ships also but without gimbal mode you cant hit with laser canons small and fast targets
The herc can also do ERT’s with less DPS but you can stay in the fight for longer with better cap, agility and shields
I did an ERT in my Aquila the other night. I had all Galdereens on it and killed the HH and its escorts. In all that, I’d totally forgotten the 24 missiles. 😅
andromeda and 600i are my ships of choice for solo heavy hitting, though for funsies I still love my harbinger and comet.

Thanks for the video! I'm a new player and ultimately want this ship as my end goal. I find salvage to be very boring but my starter titan can't farm HRT yet haha. Is there another game loop any can recommend on top of salvage ? I just bought the vulture
Honestly, if you pick yourself up a cutty black, you can pretty much try everything. ROC mining, combat, deliveries/cargo. I mainly bounty hunt, but that's not too profitable

My andromy is my go to for doing bunkers and bounties back to back. Nursa in the belly and M7's in the loadout, shes a beast!

I plan on trying different setups. That's one I was gonna try. An all Onisky loadout worked pretty well too

Love the Connie’s, the true jack of all trades! I fly the Taurus. I had the Aquila but the view out of the cockpit annoys me. I prefer the big open glass section on the middle bottom of the other Connie’s, especially when planet side. They do need to get rid of some of those struts though.
Yeah, im hoping for a gold pass that they do away with some of the struts.

EDIT: Eclipse can one shot ERT's unless they nerfed that?
Not as easy anymore. They can shot torps down pretty constantly now.

I use Deadbolts on my Andromeda but Inferno can also handle ERTs solo. Small tip, it's better to grab group ERTs, for some reason they have easier ships to kill. For example in solo ERTs I mainly meet HHs or 890 as targets but took group ERT and had to kill Redeemer, Freelancer MAX and Cutty Black.
Since the .1 patch I haven't been able to grab groups for some reason. They won't pop up on my contract manager. Not even the cert.

And if you plan on looting cargo then you have a time limit, and in my experience you don't get as many of the good ships for loot. Single ERTs are the best choice for loot.

It's not a money maker video. It's about the ship. I just use it to make some cash / hence the title.
