Thank you so much for making this video. We also bought '03 from used dealer & didn't know code. Also got only 1 key & it's about $80 to get a copy made at Home Depot. My husband called dealerships & all gave different answers, the most descriptive being, "in LEFT rear panel, but that's all I can tell you." Yet it's actually the RIGHT!!! My husband had the panels off, code found, & tried it out on keypad before I finished watching you putting panels back on! So thanks again-- very helpful!
Randy the amount of money your video is costing dealerships, because used car buyers would love to enjoy this feature on their cars, might get you assassinated sir. I got a quote of $200.00 to "factory reset the keyless entry on my mountaineer. It took all of 1 minute for me to access my module and enter the code. At first it did nothing until I followed your instructions and disconnected the battery positive cable, waited a minute, then reconnected and presto, the code worked. again thank you so much.
Hello Randy: I drive Ford Explorer 4.6, V8, 2002. I bought it in used condition. It runs like a new vehicle. I did not have factory Keyless Entry reset code. I was unable to reset by myself. Ford dealer was asking for $115 dollars. I watched your video; did exactly as it is shown in your video; found the factory code and reset my custom code. Now, I can enjoy Keyless Entry in my Ford WITH YOUR HELP. I THANK YOU FOR POSTING SUCH AN INFORMATIVE AND ACCURATE VIDEO. Toronto, Canada.
Randy, thank you.... I ave a 2003 Mountaineer, and ave had it for 5 years now and always wanted to know where to find the key less entry code, and you just showed me how..... I thank U again, this was so helpful........
After looking online at several tips that were just written this is just the video needed to solve this problem.which I am pretty sure is very common , thank you
worked perfectly thanks i have had my 2004 for almost 3 years and could never get it to work it only took my literally 5 min at the most to do this thanks again
Thanx for sharing! Worked on my 2002 explorer. A little easier if you have a dental/ automotive mirror and a cell phone camera (for us folks with older eyeballs!)
If the control box per say is mounted in the same place, then I believe it will. Maybe go through the comments section and see if someone else has said it worked for them. Good luck I hope it works for you too.
tiana 'rome thanks! We found it and it worked. @Randy your video didn't say exactly what number to look for. There are a lot. I have a 2002 and it was under the barcode on the right side.
so like an idiot to see if i did this correctly i entered in a all same number and now i looking for a way to erase all entry codes know anything? Ive tried disconnecting the battery and nothing. I have an 07 Mountaineer
Randy, quickone, mercury Mountaineer 2004, rear hatch window is jammed, i hit the eject or release from both the remote and near plate. no luck, any idea?

Thank you! Took me less than one minute to access the module and get the code for my 03' Merc!
This worked for me as well (2003 Aviator). Press the 3-4 button after the initial code (which opens drivers door), and it will open ALL doors.

If the numbers were there they are big enough to read with a flashlight.... sorry
