I just love the fact that they NEVER waste an opportunity to work together in something, anything, whatever but together always ❤
There's a real "We've been invited to host the BAFTAs?" energy about them.
😂And I love that you just have to say "they" and we _all_ know who you're talking about! Oh...why are they so wholesome? It brightens my day every time I see them doing something together!😊
I love the fact they worked with each other once, then lockdown happened and they got cast in about the only thing possible to make where they are portrayed as friends and everyone assumes they want to work together all the time. Casting them forever together in fan service. Then David got asked back to do doctor who, without Michael, and everyone wants him to stay there too. He belongs to us now!!!!!
This is like a staged minisode
@@phill6859I’m sorry! I need some explaining, please. Where were they stranded? What was the only thing they could do? Why do you think they’re not friends? And who is “us”?
David Tennant casually coming up with a sketch so Michael can bring his dog to the BAFTA's.
and its based on staged too
I don’t think it’s his dog. It’s a professional dog.
@@HuntingVioletsof course it is. Did you mean to say Andy Sarkis is not professional?
@@bernardsoh3559 Just that he isn't Michael Sheen's, as far as I know. :)
@@HuntingVioletsIt apparently is. According to all the British entertainment news outlets that covered the show, that's Michael Sheen's pet dog.
Society: it’s hard to make friends as an adult
David Tennant and Michael Sheen: hold my beer
and we know which other couple to blame!
@@Psylaine64 Which one?
@@kaseyareda6017 I'd say Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman for inventing Crowley and Aziraphael ;)
Hold Bark Ruffalo.
Hold my dog
I like how Emma Stone was like "Yes. Give me the dog"
I don't blame her, I'd take Bark Ruffalo in a heartbeat. What a cutie :D
@@rkah6187Haven't you heard, though? He pees everywhere.
@@stevena105 Nah, just in the kitchen
was looking for this comment lmao
Emma! You’re ruining the bit!
“I’m sorry!”
Dear BBC. You have now not only introduced the possibility of a collaboration between David Tennant and Tom Hiddleston, but also given us a glimpse of how hilarious and awesome it would be.
Make.This.Happen. You owe us.
CC @Disney also. they too have some sway with not just Marvel but ALSO Doctor Who now 🤩👍
@@steelsheenTom Hiddleston as The Master when?
@@brownbelpois Oh, I would love that.
I am a fan of Tom but didn’t find his part funny at all.
@@brownbelpois oh man that would be a whole new level of diabolical Master.
David just casually trolling the Good Omens fans with that "wait and see" comment. Iconic.
He knows us
Don't you dare wait-and-see us!
Neil taught him well :D
GO2 was boring. I think I blame the Yank. And, I'm a Yank. As much as I love Hamm as Draper and as much as I appreciate him desperately trying to yank himself out of the typecasting...you just look at him and expect Draper. Sadly, he will forever cast a Draperesque shadow on any role he tries. I hope he's getting good royalties and just needs to take a perpetual holiday and live it up.
I look at him and see his character from 30 Rock so his role in Good Omens fit perfectly for me.
He had no right to pull that off as flawlessly as he did. Expert level
He also has no right to look that good in his presenter's outfit. That's not fair.
David Tennant was alright as well.
Stanley Tucci being more quintessentially, cuttingly English than the Brits in this sketch is entirely delicious! And David and Michael together ...just perfect as ever!
And Hiddles being Hiddles and the great Dame!
One being a Cymro, the other a Scot, so no English involved
GEt where you;re coming from, but I'm talking about the entire sketch. Loved the Scot/Cymro combo, but Tom Hiddleston and Dame Judy are also in this...@@dexstewart2450
at this point Stanley Tucci is an english man
@@dexstewart2450tbf, I think they meant the other cameos were Brits
I was overjoyed to see David and Tom Hiddleston in the skit. Please get them in a show or film together 🥰
Hat Films fan commenting on a video featuring dame Judy dench. Are you trying to manifest their curse?
been saying this for a while now!
@@cartymoo oh god your right! 😟
Two best time travellers
@@cartymoo Do the fans have the power too?
"I thought you were going to be that beautiful Michael Sheen." Oh, Dame Judi!! 😂😂
I replayed that bit 3 times because of her wistful sigh 😂
Love the subtle insinuation that, like some sort of deity, Dame Judi already knows all about Bark Ruffalo and what he's like. There's absolutely no chance of fooling her!
@@ShadowGoatPenin all honesty, I would totally believe that Dame Judi is actually *the* God, with a capital G. She just has that presence about her.
"He's not a real dog anyway. He's actually being played by Andy Serkis." Yes, he's that good.
That delivery outfit disguise for Bark Ruffalo is the cutest thing ever!
plus the guard looks at ups guy (dog) and goes...okay. great stuff what.
The fact that those sweet people on the aisle were ready to take the dog😂
I swear that Emma Stone nearly took him lol
I think those were Indira Varma and Emma Stone.
If David Tennant asked you to hold a dog for him, would you refuse?
I was like yeah, you're doing a bit, half those people will just steal that cutie and keep going.
"smoother than Ken's chest" AND THEN RYAN GOSLING'S FACE AFTERWARD I CANT BREATHE
The Doctor had a conversation with Loki, and not once was the subject of time travel mentioned.
One doesn't talk shop on a social (internet) call.
But you have to admit, a time lord and a time god - imagine that series. (Hopefully Disney sees this)😬
these are actually actors, the guys you named are just the characters they’re playing
Nah I refuse to believe there is no police box time machine or time controlling police force with a Norse god.
@@OrangeJews1138I think you’re missing something, here.
Three hours of David and Michael would be EPIC.
Indeed - I could watch the two of them pair up for adventures and hi jinx for all eternity ☺️
Watch Staged! It's literally 2 seasons of them bickering on Zoom 😂
@@chelseamckinnon9272yup, this is already a thing
@@chelseamckinnon9272 , 3 seasons. 😉
Staged is 3 seasons of David Tennant and Michael Sheen bickering on Zoom 😅
He really said "wait and see." David Tennant never misses
I gasped when he said that
That was cruel of him. But also very funny :D
What was that a reference to?
@@anbu1325 Neil Gaiman when being asked about spoilers for Good Omens probably
@@anbu1325 The full story goes like this. After the first screen adaptation of Good Omens (where David and Michael star side by side), it was believed that there would be no continuation. After the second season was announced (it aired around 4(!) years after the first), Neil responded with “Wait and see” to any question regarding Good Omens (and I believe the most urgent question concerned the nature of the relationship between the two main characters). As it turned out, by doing that, he was citing an actual line of dialogue between the two main characters from the second season of Good Omens (in a situation that was also relevant to their relationship and the unresolved issues within it). Now, the second season of Good Omens ended on a very tragic note (Shakespeare-level tragedy; seriously, I’ve seen grown men watching it with tears in their eyes) and a deep divide between the two characters at the heart of the story. And now we have to “wait and see” several more years for this to be (presumably) resolved in the third season.
So, this was a reference to: 1) Neil’s constant trolling of Good Omens fans, 2) an actual line in Good Omens, 3) the situation in which Good Omens fans find themselves currently.
All three are extremely cruel and funny to the same extent.
Hope this answers the question :)
Dame Judi's slightly irritated "What do you want?", like he's asking her for favours all the time, KILLED me.
I loved this extra Staged episode 😂
David's "Wait and see"🥺
we understood that reference 😭
Michael and David are absolute highlights of this ceremony. Ineffable!
Best Opening Sketch ever😂 The costume for Bark Ruffalo was so cute!
And DT in a Kilt was a nice extra✨stunning✨Couldn’t wish for more really🤌🏽❤
Maybe a nice wind from the backside. 😉
David: "Wait and see..."
Me: "Wait and see? Do you have any idea how frustrating _that_ is?"😂
That was too good! 😂
Oh, he definitely does 😂
The highlight of this was David and Michael.
"I thought you were going to be that beautiful Michael Sheen." Sighs. "What do you want?"
I was ROLLING
Did he just “wait and see” us?!
Very Neil of him
How dare he! 😂
How cruel of David I thought he was on our side and I was wrong ;)
@@mariannebrandon8891"There is no 'our side'! Not anymore!"
I didn't know I needed to see David Tennant in a kilt, but that is exactly what I needed to see. 👍
I love love love the close friendship that David Tennant and Michael Sheen have formed. 🥺 Also, love the call back to Staged!
British people are so polite that every audience member he even vaguely gestured towards with the dog was prepared to take him
I mean, Emma Stone is American but...
@@ninejade9 Little known fact, Emma Stone's actually from Glouckenshire, she just does a good American accent
I'm so glad that ever since Good Omens, David and Michael always find a way to work together on something! They are so freaking awesome on screen! ❤
I am literally dying of laughter here. This was amazingly pulled of by everyone. The crowd going "aaah" was just pure.
Wow....major props to David and Michael for having the best "Zoom call acting" compared to the others!
They did multiple seasons of a show that was just Zoom calls! It is called Staged. They are all on TH-cam
@@allshookup1640really? I can't find it... Could you bring a link here?
Michal's puppy deserved an award cutest dog ever
Love how Georgia is in on this too!
That was brilliant, a bonus episode of Staged with a gorgeous dog that was nearly adopted by Emma Stone! It set the tone for the show and with a few surprise guest stars. The chemistry between David and Michael is magic.
Of course in his opening sketch David would be with Michael, bickering about who should watch the dog, like an old married couple... :D I love their dynamic. If you open an encyclopedia article on acting chemistry, there will probably be a picture of these two. They can just sit and do crosswords together, and it will still be entertaining. Glad they did this together, it was very fun to watch
DT and Michael Sheen. Good grief what good friends and teammates for humor and drama and commitment to the bit. WOW.
I did not expect this but I am so happy to see David and Michael in the staged setting again!!
I just love these two being iconic every time they interact 💜💜
Love the little “Oooh” Dame Judy gives when mentioning the kilt 😂
Listen the fact that Michael was also there 😂 honestly the highlight
Good Omens fans are being treated right now 😌
Doctor who as well
Yes we are ☝️
After that season ending, we deserve it!
I’m so lucky to have seen this kilt in his Macbeth truly magnificent
Exact thoughts! How lucky we are :) Although they are a lot of evidence that the show will have additional run by the end of the year, so more lucky people to be ;)
I was thinking, “Maybe he misses being in a kilt every night.” LOVED Macbeth!
@@liza_mandrakeoh god I hope I can get tickets I really wanted to see this.
I love David Tennant in anything and everything he does but add Michael Sheen, Stanley Tucci, Tom Hiddleston and this whole bit... * Chef's Kiss*
lmfao the way that both times he pretend-tries to hand the dog off the ladies are like "yeah, I'll take him!" 😂
i love that david is wearing that gray staged sweater :D
Yeah, I'm trying to remember, I thought Georgia managed to hide it from him or throw it away or something. I really thought this was a Staged skit.
I love how every single person reaches out to accept the dog, and he has to ignore them to continue the bit. :D
This was just Michael's way to get his dog past the "no dogs" rule at the Baftas. Perfect con.
like how everyone he offered the dog to for the bit was totally okay with taking it anyway
A very funny sketch, but the real treat for me was, after so many years, getting to see the doctor’s wife (who used to be the doctor’s daughter but was REALLY the other doctor’s daughter), and by “the doctor’s wife”, I don’t mean the Tardis who was also the doctor’s wife. And if you follow that, congratulations, you are a nerd like me.
"If you followed that..." *Oh Yes!*
Check out Staged!
They so rarely appear on the Red Carpet together! It was a treat/
Georgia Tennant appeared in Staged! If you haven't seen it, it's a don't-miss.
you forgot to include River Song.
Can’t believe he slipped in a “wait and see.” Neil Gaiman bringing these two together was world-changing.
I am so happy right now.
Dame Judi Dench is such a good sport!🤩
Her and Olivia Colman on the “Barbie” Blu-Ray extras, rite?
David tennant is the best doctor and the first doctor to host a reward show
Tenth Doctor Best Doctor
I agree with you ! I Loved him as Doctor Who !
I love David Tenant and Michael Sheen working together, love their relationship 💜🥺
GOOD GRIEF!!! That outfit of his was absolutely stunning and only he could wear it so well!
I love those two!! I just love em…❤️🐝🤗
Michael: what if I have to go on stage to be given an award?
David: for what? for breaking my heart?
Two of the most wide-ranging actors alive; both of them are so damned good.
Dame Judi’s little gasp and “ooh” after David said “wait and see” is THE BEST 😂
Great opening! Loved the skit! Cute dog! Nice kilt! These awards are far better than America's Academy Awards.
Omg all the acrtresses were like 'yes ill take the dog!'
Bark Ruffalo is so freaking cute! David too!
Love that Judi !!!!
The best BAFTA! With David and Michael nothing can go wrong!
"Some of us are big in America." LOL!
David Tennant and Michael Sheen are pure gold. More collabs please!!!
I would totally watch a David Tennant, Michael Sheen, Tom Hiddleston movie with a dog!
Three man and a baby (dog) remake upcoming!
0:48 Nooo Michael don't leave David alone AGAIN!! We can't handle this after the ending of Good Omens s2! 😭
I thought this was an intro to a special episode of Staged. This was a hilarious BAFTA opening. Love that Michael admitted he wouldn't be going on stage for an award.
David Tennant should host every award show, with appearances by Michael and Bark Ruffalo.
And Tom Hiddleston. And Stanley Tucci. As well as Judi Dench.
Queen Judi. Even in a few seconds she’s fantastic.
❤ Never separate these 2
DAVID AND MICHAEL! 🙌
The best duo has blessed us again! Seeing them together is always a good omen.❤
I hope Neil gaiman writes bark ruffalo into the good omens season three script
I'll always love David and Michael being silly together
You never can go wrong with a dog. Well played.
The UPS outfit omg
To all involved...Thank you for this. It was amazing.
Very cute!🥰
"Was the Scottish man mean to you?"
both ladies are like :"yeah sure i'll take that dog!"
I love these two so much🥹
"Wait and See" my little heart skipped at the Good Omens reference!
The fact that those sweet people on the aisle were ready to take the dog
"Was this Scottish man mean to you?" 😂
For anyone wondering, the music starting at 0:53 is the instrumental of "Tightrope" by Janelle Monaé.
these two are the best couple ever and no one can tell me otherwise.
Can't wait for Good Omens to return!
Didn't know that I needed to hear Dame Judi Dench say "Bark Ruffalo," but I DID
The bromance continues! 😍
Omg I never thought I would see David and Michael together in another hilarious skit. Love them and their energy
Wow..and doest he look gorgeous in a kilt..bravo
Love David Tennant!
so quirkly British but adorable and charming🐕🐶i felt this skit was so personable
I liked the woman on the aisle who wanted to take the dog. She wasn't thinking about it being a bit, she just wanted to help and hold the puppy!
He brought back the gray hoodie lol 😂
Love all the people he offers the dog to going immediately into ‘yes and’ mode. Solid training there lol
