Hearing David Tennant mention Takin' over the Asylum and Campbell Bain all these years later makes me so happy!! He still remembers his character's name 🥺
This is one of my favourite characters that he plays and him remembering this exact situation and also the first time he was recognised on the street being because of this role made me weirdly excited
@@Theoingwersen7094 Same!! Campbell is one of my favourite characters he's played and it's so nice to hear that he still remembers that encounter and his character 💙
My daughter and I watched the show a few months ago and both really loved it! We've both dealt with fairly severe mental health issues and appreciated the show. We talk about Campbell Bain pretty often.
The fluffy sweater and the rainbow button … this man is loveable on a different level! I really adore him talking about things he is/was excited about.
@@kimsward4065Yes he'd support his kid first obviously, but it's also in support of non-binary people and the LGBTQ+ community in general which he's supported for a long time already :)

What a delightful person David Tennant is. Could listen to him waffle on for much longer than this, he brings every anecdote with warmth. Must do, wearing such amazing knitwear. When I was a kid, we tended to watch things over and over because we had only a limited amount of things on VHS. We'd bother my parents with The Great Mouse Detective, mostly.
I could literally listen to this man talking for hours and never get bored. He's just so funny and down-to-earth, I genuinely absolutely adore this gentleman. How can you NOT love him? 🥺 He just seems like such a delightful person, I'd love to meet him one day and thank him for everything he's done for so many people. Truly such a talent! Also, I'm still not over him being such a supportive ally for his child & others with all the non-binary pins and pride pins he wears. 🥺
It’s so great to hear him talk at length like this. I don’t think I’ve ever seen another video where he kind of gets to speak uninterrupted and it’s really nice to listen to him 🥰 I found myself kind of holding my breath while listening to him and I had to remind myself to breathe lmfao
There's nothing to be guilty about it, it's a great fun show. Guilty pleasures are for things like liking a kid's show, or some cheesy romance and so but as was already said, enjoy what you enjoy. Nothing to feel guilty about with Casanova.
this whole thing is pure gold. I love coming back to it, but my favorite part is how he met Michael Sheen. These two have such a love & adoration for each other, and it fills me with joy to hear they've known each other for so long. Here's to another 20 years of them together!
The fact that David remembers so much vividly, shows how much he enjoyed it al, took all those moments in ... but then again, we all know that's the kind of guy he is. ❤❤
He is such a lovely person! I love to hear his take on just about anything. I find his subtle movements to bring so much depth to his characters, it was really cool to hear him talk about Anthony Hopkin's mastery of the same.
I can listen to this wonderful human being for years on end and it never gets old. He has this magical ability to turn even seemingly the most boring or basic story really into something fabulous without visibly trying and that’s amazing quality. Love him so much
Almost anything with Anthony Hopkins is a masterclass in acting. He's incredible. Whether its Remains of the Day, Hannibal Lector, Westworld, or his vast catalogue.
Throwback to that time when David did a video with Jon Hamm after 1st season of Good Omens and called him much much older than himself (Jon was born in march '71, and David in april '71). Some things never change 😂😂
I could listen to him for hours! He has such passion for his craft and just always seems like an all around wonderful human being, what a treat this was! his little non-binary pin never fails to make me smile, a small thing that can mean so much to a person like myself

The bit about the film choices 😂 My children wore out our Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat VCD. After repeated viewings it just packed up! 😮 So I bought another one. Now adult, they deny that they were ever this uncool!! 😂😂
When he mentions the jacket he got from his first role i think he got confused with his first tv role on dramarama as neil mcdonald, where he actually wore a black denim jacket and acted a bit rude, instead of the psa where he wears a blue puffer jacket, but i guess it was a long time ago 😂

Christopher Heyerdahl is another actor who has the incredible ability to have his face do almost nothing, and yet somehow there's waves of emotion emanating from it.
Ah, the similarities of childhoods of those from West Central Scotland who were born in the 70’s. The first film I remember going to see was The Empire Strikes Back and I too went on holiday to Millport in the mid to late 70’s…which in reality was within day trip distance of home but I can’t blame my parents with having three kids under ten to deal with.
Somewhere out there, some dude has been telling for years the story of the time he climbed over a bridge in Crouch End with David Tennant.
And honestly, I envy that dude for that!
I like that he apparently found this sweater and decided, "You know what, I don't need to wear anything else in interviews ever again"
