Hello Ayyappan, I will do a video series about that in the future, but here the short summary: in general there are many jobs available, salaries vary based on the industry, region and complexity of the job, In the US I'd expect entry salaries around 50-80k USD, then can go up to 100k and beyond for more senior positions. (maybe others can post their experience here) Training depends on the industry but it is always good to consider to learn the main tools such as FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, APQP, Problem Solving Tools, SPC and learn about Quality Management System such as a the ISO9001. I recommend to get a LEAN SIxSigma Greenbelt at least. It gives you the basic project management & problem solving skills you need and practical skills by applying it on a real life project. Hope this helps

I've got a job offer as a "Process Engineer". Is this just another name for the "Production quality Engineer" or something completely different ? If you could give me hint or you mentioned it in some of your other videos ?

Hi Vahid, every company might have a slightly different understanding of their job roles, you could request the Jones description to be 100% sure.
In my understanding the process engineer is the process Expert, that deines the process, sets it up and improves it further during production (processes could be welding, gluing, molding, cutting, ...depending on your product and industry). The production quality engineer focuses only on the conformity to the standards, that means that the processes run within the right parameter range and that the output meets the requirements.
Both want to improve the process, the quality guys in terms of quality while the process engineer also want to consider cycle time, cost, ergonomy, etc
      Hope this helps 🙏

@@qualityguru9047 your comment helped me shape this term more than all the other available content on yt, about it. You are always prompted with a chemical "Process Engineer" when typing this term. However, thank you very much👍🙏

A Process engineer focuses on the process steps instead of the actual end product. The process quality (inputs) controls the product quality ( output) A process engineer is usually a lower level beginning Jr. QE. I was a process engineer after my BS degree in Industrisl Engineering before I became a QE and then a QA manager later.
