Well done and explained. At 14:59 i would have done different with unknown outcome of course. I had left my general facing the enemy line and the remaining army lining up with him and only a smaller support unit for the fight with the legionaire on the right flank, maybe slinger support, but no idea, if that would have worked.
Your kd at the end points to the fact that his units routed alot earlier then they shouldve, killing his general is honestly what won you this battle, you said it was unit selection, but it was definetly the general falling in this specific battle.
@@FightMeTotalWar thats why i don´t like to put my general into noble horse as galatia . noble spear general is much more sturdy in terms of long term survavibility in battle and he can tank a lot of stuff (he is also cheaper) . also noble spear gen with counter cavalry tactics will destroy any horse unit if he gets a good charge . the other day i pinned down 2 cataphract units with cappadotians and immediately followed up with spear general , lets just say it did not go well for the cataphracts ...
slow mo battles are a great help for beginners like me You guys take so many small decisions in a very short time it's often hard to follow in real speed
If you battle with a group and bring just one or two groups of Calvary in on the flank at full speed you’ll take the entire field every time, the enemies lines will just crumble doesn’t matter what unit they are
Swordfollower would win and they cost 40 less thats why thats their strength and i brought so many of them which can be risky some times giving up cav and missle fight
rome is also an infantry based faction , one of the most obvious infantry based factions in the game at that . that being said it can be much more versatile than most barbarians . if you know that your opponent is building the army to specifically counter rome - you can bring some crazy builds to catch your opponent completely of guard . you can bring elephants and also shock cav with rome it doesn´t need to be all infantry .
Failing is the only way to get better right.... everyone failed their first couple matches but that alright, focus on getting good with a certain faction (would start with the barbs/rome/carthage) and from there you learn the basics
I remember from the past that when your inf is stretched a little bit more then your oponand, the line curls arround the flanks of your opponand and it gave extra kill's. The good thing in your strategy is, is that his army is split up as he wanted to hit both flanks at the same time, this weakend his centre and he most then choose where to bring his Gen in a devided army, while you have control of the centre, where you can shift your army more faster to support (innercircle strategy). Learn the strategy off the wheel motion (You evade 1 attacking flank, to win kill time in centre) with scirm attack and retreat. Hannibal used this in his centre (fallback) to win time to hit the flanks, your opponand did not... ;o) en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hannibal
I am completely new to this. I could not find neither of these factions listed in custom battle. Please tell me what I might need to get for a full list of the factions in my custom battle screen.
@@FightMeTotalWar gala legionaries are actually better 1v1 in grind out melee . but of course if you gonna support with cheap celtic swords or cav charges and put 5-6 gala vs 9 followers they gonna lose .
@@FightMeTotalWar thank you for fast answer, and sorry for another naive question, but why you put them in the eastern cat also ? (your "*THE BEST* Army Builds" - suggests a lot of melee infantry like barbarian one fact. Are they good with Horse Archers ?)
yeah he did , it is a safest option while facing a more skilled opponent in a barb vs barb game , also boii swords are cheaper so he can bring more of them ... he basically knows hami could only bring 5-6 legionaries - hamis army was actually too much vanilla meta for galatia in my opinion , nothing surprising ...
Did this video help you understand land battles?
Yeah im doing my best haha
No worries man! indeed GG
Great video long time ago you made a long one
yeah true!

Beating Hami is huge !! The guy has gone like 36-0 in league play up until now. It's like beating mike tyson

Yeah also that indeed! I also said that in the video that losing your gen as galatia is trrrible

Same thoughts!❤
slow mo battles are a great help for beginners like me
You guys take so many small decisions in a very short time it's often hard to follow in real speed
great to hear that
Thats why for me, RTS players are more elite than FPS players :D
Wait, bring golden chevron full stack mob army is not a great choice? Now i see, why Spartacus finally lost....how could he get 10k gladiators

Thanks, will do!
Great battle with Hami!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can I ask, galatian legionaries and sword follower if they have a clean front charge and no javallin who would win ?
Swordfollower would win and they cost 40 less thats why thats their strength and i brought so many of them which can be risky some times giving up cav and missle fight
Sometime can you do a army comp video for boii and the odrysian kingdom?
Yes I will Soon!
Why didn't you include Rome in this tutorial??? I already know how to play infantry based faction but I would realy like to hear your opinion.
rome is also an infantry based faction , one of the most obvious infantry based factions in the game at that .

Must say that boii is stronger than galatia so you should win
Oke I agree with that but Hami is a really good land battle player too!
When you cut the head, everything goes with the flow
and I also watched where you lost your general at start and still be able to win lol
Yes right Hahahah
Lusitania main 😎 not really I’ve been enjoying them a lot but I love Egypt the most
alright interesting!
@@FightMeTotalWar yeah I mainly stick the the grand campaign but have tried and failed a few times at multiplayer.

Would be very nice to watch without the dramatic music in background so I can hear and understand what your saying.

Thank you.
In singleplayer I just hammer and anvil if I got more troops lol
Galatian legionaries are stronger than boi mid tiers right
no my mid tiers are better that why i brought 9 of them haha
@@FightMeTotalWar gala legionaries are actually better 1v1 in grind out melee .

Thanks Marketable! when are you streaming again?
@@FightMeTotalWar I'm back now!
NICE!
So Rome is a barbarian faction? )
with the type of units ye :)
Solo 2 de caballería hami din contar el general interesante
nice
And Iberian?
I was kinda expecting you to win lol dont know why that balance of power was so heavy against you
yeah when was playing I still had a little hope even tho the game literally said you cant win this haha
i think the syrians as elite archer units give a lot influence the power bar a lot
yeah true and he kept 1% ammo in his archers for the balance of power
Tell me please what category is the Getae's fact?
mix of barb and eastern, i would put them in the eastern cat
@@FightMeTotalWar thank you for fast answer, and sorry for another naive question, but why you put them in the eastern cat also ? (your "*THE BEST* Army Builds" - suggests a lot of melee infantry like barbarian one fact. Are they good with Horse Archers ?)
in sieges horse archers wont be usefull, in land yes and thats why they are in the eastern cat
is Rome hellenic, barbarian or nomadic? :P
I would put it in the barb section
Rome=barbarian
Lmao
I know hami yeah oof
yeah he is a good land battle player! I got lucky this time!
