Stephen is truly awful and every moment he's not having petty revenge taken out on him is a moment wasted.
But in visceral hatred -at least for me- he's completely outgunned by Kyle from the LiveShip series by Robin Hobb. I'm honestly not sure I'll pick up another one of her books because I hate him _so much._

I felt similarly about the writing in Confessions. I also didn’t feel too shocked by the final twist. I still overall enjoyed it just fine, but I think I gaslit myself into thinking I liked it more than I did because everyone else loved it so much lol.

I'm so glad you felt that way about Confessions!!! I felt the same exact way. I thought I read a completely different book than everyone else. I don't understand why every Booktuber loves it. It just didn't click for me.

I’m not surprised you didn’t like Confessions when you weren’t shocked by the twists. I was jaw on the floor at least a handful of times, and that’s why it was 5⭐️ for me. The cyclically story telling doesn’t work if there’s not a big payoff for the reader each time. I prefer to just be along for the ride most of the time I’m reading, so I’m easy to surprise because I don’t bother to guess what’s coming.
Also had those feelings for confessions but I think because I listened to it on audio while working and could skip parts I didn’t want to hear again my rating was higher 😂❤️ love you Gavin!!!

I didn't like Confessions either.... I liked part 1 and part 6 but everything else was just SO boring... like we got the story thank you! No need to tell it to me like 5 times and add 2 new information 🙄
