I think the EM missiles are a lot stronger against people who run lasers (which is most people) because their ship then has higher EM than the 7k signature that the flares have. Ive been lowkey trying to keep my ships under 7k em on erkul and it seems to work.
I really enjoyed this build but wished you did it full lasers because in the fight against the Scorpius you ran out of ballistic ammo. Great video, looking forward to more!
I love the mindset you have with this strategy. And with a few tweaks it also works for eclipse escort duty on intercept after the eclipse fires torpedos and takes off. I’m wondering if you’ve tried your build and strategy idea for the Sabre but using the ghost? The 40% bonus instead of the 45 combines with the performance of the ghost woukd fit well with this. But I do love that you’re looking for a way to make the Sabre viable. And this is the best answer I’ve seen.
So glad that even with the current rudimentary signature/sensor mechanics, stealth ships can do what they're meant to do. Cant wait for the updated scanning mechanics. EDIT: Sabre works. Ambushed a PvP bounty on its own and they reported that there was no sign until missiles were in the air.
That was awesome! I'm working on getting my auec up so I can buy another comet in game I'm sad that the last one I had vanished with the wipe, but I def want to try that configuration out... It makes me want to try that weapon setup on my scorpius as well, even if I run out of ammo my buddy in the turret can still lay down some decent fire on the target
Yeah, what you mentioned, but that's why I use four ballistic guns. I haven't tried it with a hybrid mix of components, though, I usually just run all stealth components. I'll have to check out the mix.
Oh, mann, didn't know that, it's almost at the level of a Sabre Raven emissions with minimal components, and if you get it with most components on, it's actually better, wtf?! even if the raven goes lower with no shield, that 60% em might be unintended, or the raven should have it, can you imagine? 1500em in that thing?
IDK about the taskforce being bugged, but i do remember EM missiles being un-CM-able couple patches ago. IDK if that was ever fixed but since your stealth blitzing people with s1 missiles, it may simple require a fast response with CMs that most people arent able to do.
i run the hornet ghost with 4 s3 ballistic gats and 2 s2 laser repeaters and 12 taskforce 1's the biggest ship i taken down solo pvp was the a2 over jump town its my favored fighter build ive made
Have you ever tried sneaking in and firing missiles on target without actually targeting? Just using the crosshairs to target not the computer if that makes sense. Great Vid. The sabre is becoming my fav. again. :)
@@oldman1111 And yes definatly on larger ships. I do this with my Gladiator's S5 torps on the bigger ships. I was inspired by a video of 2 Gladiators popping a HH in one run. 8 S5's do hella lot of damage appearantly.
Fuck it, use the missiles. Pvp rarely runs off honor in my experience. Frankly missiles should be difficult to flare given the EM of most ships Ps: oh shit acidrom is a friend of mine
The second master modes come out, this will get thrown out the window. I can't see how the Sabre will be viable at all in master modes as a stealth ship. Stealth in it's entirety like this won't work with master modes. Unless they give stealth ships unique traits in master modes like faster SCM speed like other fighters, which they said they wouldn't do. They want combat to be close quarters, stealth isn't viable for that. So they're putting themselves in a corner when it comes to these ships.
It may not be viable as stealth with master modes. But I think the Sabre is gonna excel as an actual fighter, especially when flight surfaces come into play.
@@OneNutSupreme Yeah control surfaces will make it great in atmosphere, but that's still one scenario. In space it'll still be a meh fighter, if they don't give it an extra shield back or some other buffs. But the point I was making is that Stealth in and of itself as a mechanic is not going to work with MM no matter how much CIG tries to balance it, since it is in direct contradiction to what CIG wants to make combat like.
Sounds sketch. I hope they come up with a solution to that than, because a ship specifically designed for stealth should probably be good at stealth, lol
I just bought my Saber during IAE the other day. I love that ship, I will figure out stealth for sure. One question, where the hell did you get that skin.
@@OneNutSupreme I almost went with the Comet. I am in love with the Saber and melted my upgraded game pack. Bought a new one, and used the rest of my credit to get my Saber lol.
The saber is my favorite fighter in the game.. imo it looks the best..well maybe the F8 looks a little better but i love that the saber is a "stealth" fighter.. i recently posted in spectrum under "ask the devs" i was asking if they had anything to share about stealth mechanics bc like even the eclipse's wings are supposed to slide inwards in its "stealth mode" and it does not have that function.. i dunno if the key bind is still there because I haven't looked at a long time but there used to be a key bind for "stealth mode".. someone answered but i had a hard time reading it bc there were no spaces between any of the words so not even zure if it was a dev.. anyways like even the prowler is my second favorite ship and not bc its a stealth dropship that just ended up being a bonus but yeah I can't wait for these mechanics to eventually be in game down the road
Ok... please SHOW ME how to do this! I didn't know there even was a power,em or anything else reducing button! I have been LOVING this ship but had no clue there was "cloaking" or "stealthing"... I thought it was passive.
Torps are easier to flare off and notch, and the eclipse is slow.. Plus, everyone knows how the eclipse works. Everyone thinks the sabre is a dog fighter. The whole point is to show how the sabre is actually effective, especially with the reductions buff.
I really like the look of the Sabre but was unsure of it due to A1’s video talking about how it’s not that great outside atmosphere, think I’m gonna grab a ccu while it’s got the 120 mo insurance
I bought on this IAE my LTI Sabre and dont regret it. Even most ppl are saying its not meta its not good in PVP, I did a 2 vs 1 in my sabre against a gladius and a Corsair. And when stealth is getting full implented oh boy, you will be dead before you know.
Oh noes! 5% stealthier! What about the fact it handles like crap and it's squishy AF. It can't dogfight to save its life atm. Sure in pve it's fine... sucks in pvp.
@@OneNutSupreme your clear proof is only luck,u can kill soy boys on every ship also, but only metas can take real battle, and its not the sabre. after all, it is stealth fighter, it was not meant to be main force in combat
@Atlasmaster-ei5el meta is boring and vastly over-rated. Stealth ambushing is what I was doing. Had nothing to do with luck. The whole point is to catch every off gaurd and not see me coming witch they didn't.
Man Star Citizen's music it top notch, but something about that Halo music while flying over microtech was sick

That Halo song was enough to get me hype for the fight!! 😀
Plus, the Sabre is beautiful!
You definitely dialed it in. Nicely done. A true ambush predatory.
Definitely my favorite ship because of you. Thanks for all you do!
No better looking ship than the Sabre Comet!
Awesome Video man! Going to try this for sure.
Aegis makes some badass looking ships. Sabre is my favorite light fighter, Vanguard is my favorite heavy.
reminds me of the tomcat
Nice to see that the sabre has a use again was pretty interesting fighting that ambush predator great build and great vid as always!
Glad to see the Sabre getting some love. Great Video!
I miss this ship. Happy to see it was buffed. I may pick it up again, it was my first major ship purchase many years ago.

It's because it took longer to kill him than I anticipated
