When I start to feel overwhelmed, I just pray, "Lord, I trust you." Sometimes I have to speak it into fruition even if I don't feel it. The psalms have also been a huge comfort, and a great tool for praying my anxiety and anger over to God. Hang in there!

As someone who works in academic advising, and career planning/human resources, whether you get fired/lose your job or walk away on your own it is still a gut punch especially if it is something you were not planning. So be kind to yourself and take a deep breath. I am so glad you decided to share this because it shows other people that they are not alone and more importantly that it is not their fault if they get fired. Sometimes life chooses to send us in a direction we did not see coming. So I guess the big question is since you can work from anywhere, will you stay in OK or go to another state with the kids in school etc?

Prices in Aldi Australia have gone through the roof. Some by as much as $2-$3 for an block of cheese. It’s disproportionate to the increase in the cost of living and even though it’s still cheaper than other supermarkets, the margin of savings are dwindling. And for quite a lot of items, there is no difference in prices buying at Aldi any more. It is such a disappointment.

If you are in prayer, you are doing the right things. There are disturbing things happening in churches for a while now. A small group of younger people can really change a church. Making older people feel unwelcome whether employees or congregants is one, until they figure out young people don't tithe, they throw in a $20 when they have it and then the "young" staff turns 40 and are now "old.". Young people thinking the church must have *only very modern music and everything be remodeled/changed or people will not come. God will work on people's hearts even when staff members are "old" or the church name doesn't reflect that it is a church.

My husband is a pastor too and I know how difficult it is to leave a church you've poured yourself into - where your dearest friends are - and where your kids have grown. Your video really tugged on my heartstrings. You have such a positive attitude though, and I know the Lord is going to take good care of you and your family. I look forward to hearing about what God's doing in the days ahead!

Thank you! That's exactly it, and it's difficult to explain sometimes how multiple facets of your life are connected to a single place when you work in the ministry. Thank you for seeing us! :)

This past January my husband, at the age of 67 lost his good paying executive position that has been in his occupational wheelhouse for over 40 years. Then he took a part-time gig that brought a small amount of money, but as of September 1st he no longer has that. Times are getting tough for a lot of people and we are going to need those budget recipes you do on your channel! God bless you and your family. God has plans to prosper you 🙏.

Dear Mindy - just wanted you to know my prayers and positive thoughts are added to the many mentioned by your family, friends and fans. I hope you will not be in "limbo" for long, and that the perfect offer will present itself. Thanks for keeping us in mind and still presenting us with frugal options while your own world is flipping a little. I've had church challenges over the years, too, and the fact that the upset comes from your place of safety and comfort can really rock your faith. But, God may be perfect, but all of us servants are not. Take care, and keep the faith!

I don't go to church anymore. I find there is a lot of drama at church to say the least. I am being very NICE. I had a preacher say something he should have NEVER said to anyone! And that's the last time I went to church which was Easter Sunday of the year 2000. I am not into choosing a particular "religion" either. I can praise God anywhere. I hope things work out for you and I am sorry your vacation was cut short. Thanks for all your videos I love them all!

The church helps us to encourage one another & grow closer to our Lord & Savior. The church is not perfect & will never have perfect people because only Jesus is perfect. I am sorry that the preacher said something to upset you. We have been hurt by our former pastor as well. We forgave him & we go to a different church now.
Everyday we are growing close to Jesus Christ or farther away.
Life can be challenging at times... my 46 year old husband has terminal cancer & I just lost my job 2 months ago but the Lord is faithful. His perfect peace is more than enough to help us with the hard times.
Surrender all day /everyday, treasure every moment taking nothing for granted. No time to sweat the small stuff
& sorry that I wasted precious time.
      Blessing always,
      RM from Florida

I’m so happy you shared this with us! Me and my husband and our children are currently in a “waiting season.” There are things that are or aren’t happening or we just don’t understand and the thing that gets me through is that God always has a plan and His plan is far better than my own! Change is hard, especially when it’s out of your comfort zone and/or when it’s unexpected. But God allows us to go through the changes to help us grow and to put our faith and trust in him! That’s awesome that the Lord is already putting new job offers in your husband’s path.

We also are in full-time ministry as a family here in New Jersey. And we will be praying for you because as it says in Jeremiah, he does know the plans he has for you sometimes we wish he would just tell us a little bit quicker… Lol but know that you have a friend in New Jersey who’s lifting you up in prayer and also who knows that the Lord has already gone before you.🍁🍂😊

I made these cupcakes the day after watching this video. I used a yellow cake mix with vanilla pudding. I used fancy cupcake papers and they had a nice height to them. 18 cupcakes in all. I made a delicious chocolate frosting that I piped on. Shared with family and they all said hands down best cupcake ever. So moist. Now I’m spoiled. I’m going to line up my cake mixes from my pantry and made sure I have corresponding pudding mixes on hand to mix in. Great recipe. Thanks for sharing.

I am so sorry for what you and your family are going through I wish you well in your future plans. On another note about the stains in your Yeti cups instead of using cleanser and scrubbing your cups use a denture cleaning tablet and water name brand or generic makes no difference works very well and no scrubbing or risk of scratching your cups. I use the method for all my stainless cups, tumblers , and mugs! Much love to you and your family! God bless!

Blessings to you and your family! Be sure to keep the kids in the loop. When my hubby got laid off--during the slow down in the early 2000's--I kept doing what I was doing and kept the house running while he seached for a job. He's never been laid off longer than 3 weeks (amazing to me), AND he found work in his field. ODAT.

A tip to clean out your Yeti, A small drop of liquid dishwasher soap ( like Cascade ) and boiling hot water. Let set over night. Make sure to rinse out really well. Its works perfectly. Nice and clean. And yes, I have a broom for the inside and a broom for the outside! Have a great weekend 😊
