Thank you! I've started to try to be more intentional with that. You can see lots of random items in the background now when I'm filming. I try to keep a clean house, but people live here, and our stuff is all over the place! LOL!
I love how you repurpose jars, plastic containers etc in your kitchen. Not everyone can afford the fancy containers we see on line in various videos. You don’t have to be fancy for it to work for you ! My kitchen is full of Dollar Tree containers and repurposed spaghetti sauce jars and they work just great ! Thanks Mindy for another great video !!! 💕💕
This video made me think of a conversation I had with someone close to me… I’m a naturally organized person and she knows this. We got to talking about the restock videos on here of the perfect refrigerators. I think she expected me to love them but I told her that it’s not real life. It’s simply a facade because no one who cooks and lives in their home can have fridge that perfect. Every time I see one of those videos I think to myself, “Where do you even put the leftovers?”😂 I thoroughly enjoy your real life content. It’s relatable and not fake! Thanks for another great video! Hope you enjoyed your time off! Glad to have you back!
Yes, I am glad to see u back!! Hope all are rested up. Yes, also agree about real life videos. That things get moved.over and different shelf when u have a normal family,or maybe just yourself in a hurry.life happens. Thanks for helping with meals in this difficult time. As senior citizen I don't move as fast and things m More challenging to make also with Arthritis. Simple things would be good, not of ingredients, for in the crockpot. Thanks.😊❤
Hi Mindy! I did the math with the Sams Club $22.98 for 45 rolls, 235 sheets per roll of TP, and Aldi's $18.99 for 30 rolls, 425 sheets per roll of TP, and Aldi came out the winner. Not only do you get more than 2000 sheets of TP sheets , you also save $4.00.
How does this compare to Charmin strong (red)? Hubs is PICKIER about toilet paper than most foods. Its Klingons. He HATES Klingons! In Delaware a 30 roll pkg of mega rolls is $32. I don’t know the footage and we are away at the moment.
I am 62 and not as easy to reach things up high or on the bottom shelves. I found the $3 sturdy plastic baskets at Dollar Tree to organize my pantry shelves. I use wire shelves from Amazon and 2 will fit on a shelf. I use the more shallow ones. The deeper ones are $5 they come in white and gray . I also use the $1.25 dish pans also but not as sturdy.
I haven't even watched this yet but I know I will love it. Those fancy organized fridges that people spent $300 on containers must never have leftovers! They definitely don't show them.
@SeeMindyMom We always have leftovers too. In my case it’s from learning from mom to cook for the neighborhood while there is just the two of us here. (Kind of kidding, but I alway have three to four extra servings).
Can I tell you that it’s so awesome that you reuse ziploc bags (at least, it looked like it when you froze the pitas). I do the same and my husband always jokes about it 😂
The sad thing about videos and comparisons to the influencers who create the Pinterest-worthy organization systems is that it completely ignores the fact that 1) people are not all the same and 2) the majority of us don’t organize our homes as a source of income. After years of wasting food because my kitchen wasn’t well-organized, I tried several organization methods and chose a few that significantly reduced food waste in our home. That was my goal and I found what works for me and my house. Each person/family needs to find what works for them. If Pinterest-worthy works for you, that’s great but if nothing matches and your system doesn’t make sense to anyone except you and your family, that’s great too! There’s absolutely nothing wrong with either one, or some version in between.
I am always happy to see a real person refrigerator. Those pantries and refrigerator with everything decanted are so ridiculous. No one normal has time for that. We moved and our "new" refrigerator is smaller than our old refrigerator and it's frustrating. I never had a Instagram fridge but now it's even less picturesque. I am not going to replace it any time soon but we did buy a 7 cubic foot freezer so that helps.
I always get 2 rotisserie chickens too. Last time the kids were at camp and we couldn’t get through them fast enough. I made 2 white chicken lasagnas. We pulled one out for dinner. My son was like, make this again, just like this. I even used a whole huge can of spinach in there and he gobbled it right up!!!
Hey, Walmart deli manager here. With online orders they're supposed to be set a #2 on a slicer, a thick sandwich slice. Right now there's no way to request a thinner slice so please just come on in
Shop Rite is my nearest store. Their presliced lunchmeat is so thin you can’t lift a single slice, it just rips. It’s ridiculous! I drive a little farther to acme (expensive!) to get lunch meat because it is thicker. My SR requires an app to “preorder.” I can’t just walk up to the counter.
Just love the realistic look at food organisation - in a world which focuses so much on glossy magazine style perfection, it's great to see reality reflected in a video here.
I used Upside for awhile. When I requested my funds to be deposited to my bank account, it never showed up! So I dont use this app any longer. Thanks for all your great information on these videos!! Cant wait to see the rotisserie chicken ideas! God bless!!
Just came here to say that I use zero sugar pudding mix to sweeten and flavor my morning coffee smoothie! I love how creamy it makes my shakes and since it's a liquid thickener it makes for a very drinkable frozen drink (no pile of crushed ice with all the flavor sucked out. I love making a "butterfinger smoothie" with a scoop of peanut butter and a Tbsp of Butterscotc pudding and tbsp of chocolate syrup to crushed ice and milk. A scoop of instant coffee dissolved in hot water makes it a latte.
I made a Bisquick coconut pie. I used up my shredded coconut and 4 eggs that needed to be used. I also made a tortellini pasta salad using up 1/2 and onion, fresh peppers and some onions and peppers already roasted and needed to be used!
I love your videos, especially on decluttering and organizing. I have a small pantry and am trying to find new ideas and ways to organize it, but yet still be able to see everything in it. The looks of the containers are not as important as the fact you’ve got something to put your items in so you can find it when you need it. I make as much as I can myself so I don’t need to buy it. I make my own washing powders and cleaner to disinfect my counters with.
Wanted to use some leftover corn on the cob. Started thinking what to put with it. Had Salsa from Aldi that was on sale, fried hamburger and drained it, taco cheese, taco seasoning, onion from garden that needed used up, fritos and tortilla chips that needed used up and will be put on top when it is done. Threw this in crockpot and the house smells so good. This was an easy way to use up the perishables.
You keep your pantry and fridge cleaner than I do, so no complaints from over here! 😂 And speaking of storage containers- my big flour containers (for AP and bread flour) are those big food-safe tubs that frosting and stuff comes in for bakeries. A local grocery store near me sells then for $2 a pop (not that they stick around super long!).
You can make your own Power Wash and save money. In the empty sprayer, add Dawn liquid, about 1/8 cup, then about 1/8 up rubbing alcohol, and fill with water. Replace sprayer top and shake to mix. Voila! Instant Dawn Power Wash! I do this all the time after I purchased a large jug of Dawn.
You can also line, your refrigerator shelves with plastic wrap it's a little hard to line the shelves but otherwise this works well for spills, liquid or crumbs. Clean up it a wipe away.
I also use the plastic place mats from Dollar Tree on my fridge shelves for things that leak. Especially for thawing out meats! I place a paper towel down under the meat, in top of the place mat. Works really well!
I love the fact that you use the items in your organization that work for your family. So smart and creative and simple. Love your content. Love 💕 and Hugs. 💙💙💙
Mindy! The power wash! I can't believe you mentioned it right after I thought, "Don't scrub those frig bins, spray the Dawn on and let the dishwasher the the work." It's terrific & you can make refills in minutes for pennies. It's awesome. Terrific video❤ I love your breakdowns of prices and that you use pick up! Looking forward to the rotisserie chicken video.

I just cleaned out my fridge this AM for a major restock. I also use dollar tree cutting boards or glad press and seal to line my refrigerator shelves.
Mindy, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE CLOROX 2 and I get mine from Costco. I picked up one last week because I was out of it. It was also on Sale regular 11.78 but it ended up costing $ 8.78 HOOT HOOT. I had to go back to the Surgeon's yesterday so being in the area Stopped in and picked up another. I use it every day.
I use newspaper. It's more absorbent and something in the ink absorbs odors. Put a couple pages in the trashcan under the trash bag too. If you don't subscribe to a newspaper, check your neighbors driveway in the mornings to see who does, then ask the ones who do subscribe to save you a stack.
You can make Dawn power wash yourself. Take the empty container and fill ita quarter of the way with rubbing alcohol then put dawn dish soap in next until it reaches the powerwash name, then the rest is water. Put the lid on and shake.
I have the plus membership from Sam's and am thankful I can have things shipped to me when they are not available at the club. We had tax free week this year and it was on anything under $500. I think it helped the stores not be so crowded and helped everyone save money. Not just those buying school supplies and clothes.
@@SeeMindyMom I’ll have to watch some fridge restocks, I usually mostly watch the clean outs 😂 Love your encouragement to use up the older stuff before shopping again. I struggle a bit with the balance of having extras around… but not too much and wasting. I love the idea to use up the opened stuff

Not to mention all my dollar tree ones and various glass jelly jars. I love my wacky storage and organization system. Also of my crisper drawers is literally just full of hot sauces because I get those assorted sets every Christmas. It’s absolutely not organized because I always rummage through it to find a flavor that sounds good at the time😂
I love Dawn power wash! It makes cleaning the fridge and tub so much easier! Great for the crockpot and casserole dishes too. And the kitchen sink too!
in my regular real household I keep rice in a big container that came from my parents house when I moved out in my 20s. it has a handy 1 cup measuring scoop that I decided lives within also took from my parents house. The cereal lives in the handy containers they came from the store in. wooden clothespins from the laundry aisle are cheaper and better than "chip clips". the dishes don't match either. :) nobody complains about my cooking
Dollar General has a knock off to Dawn powerwash in the dollar aisle. I also saw it at DT but it's $1.25 there. I love it. I use it when I'm cleaning houses, it's great on tubs and showers.
the yogurt holders on the side of the fridge are very cool never seen them before.......when first seen the salad dressing I thought the date said "16" had to go back and rewatch lol

LoL, you didn't segue very well from the ninja creami to the tide detergent. My mind was still on using the jello with the ninja creami and immediately went to using tide. 😂
Ok I don't know why my comment isn't here but I saw an article on business insider that said they took an identical list to Walmart and Trader Joe's to see which was cheaper. I was thinking, I don't remember you ever doing that before. My suggestion would be, how about you do one and either add Aldi in the mix or do a separate video of Aldi vs Trader Joe's. That would be cool to see. I've been watching you for a very long time and as I said, I don't remember you or anyone else ever doing that.
I just went to Costco. Major clearance items. Look for the * in the top right corner of the price sign. The 2 pack of olive garden Cesar dressing was $4
Another helpful tip: check your condiments some need to be refrigerated after opening. A channel I watch didn't realize how many condiments need to be refrigerated after opening.
Another great one, Okay fellow moms. We are looking for a USED mini van. I have read countless reviews online but I like to hear from real moms. We are going the used routine because we don't want a super high payment and various other reason. I personally like the Honda odyssey they seem to last a little longer. We keep seeing Dodge Caravans but I thought Dodge's get bad raps. Any input appreciated.

That would be cool to see. I've been watching you for a very long time and as I said, I don't remember you or anyone else ever doing that.
I use to use Dawn Foam until the Power Wash came out and I too stay stocked up on it!
is it that much better? I bought an auto dispenser for normal dish soap that has been awesome and I haven't tried the sprays...
@@derekp6636 I love it but maybe it’s just me!
Ollie’s has the Dawn Powerwash 3 pack right now for 7.99
That's a great price!
Girl, my fridge still needs wiped out! ❤
Fruit splash is addicting!
Dawn spray is the best
I just went to Costco. Major clearance items. Look for the * in the top right corner of the price sign. The 2 pack of olive garden Cesar dressing was $4
Another helpful tip: check your condiments some need to be refrigerated after opening. A channel I watch didn't realize how many condiments need to be refrigerated after opening.
For sure. I pretty much keep all open bottles of condiments in the fridge, regardless.
@@SeeMindyMom me too.
I love your videos .
You can make the foaming dish soap with regular dish soap and water put in the empty foaming container.
I do that too!
Add a tbsp of alcohol and it's the exact power wash formula!
@@ginadowd1713 thanks!
And alittle isopropyl alcohol. 😊
@@ginadowd1713exactly!
Thank you for letting me know I'm not failing in life because my fridge isn't Insta-worthy.
Mindy are you so ready for summer to be over? Me Too😉😂
Yes. Yes I am. It's been a good one, but I'm usually ready...lol!
