    We brought the 2918 outback limited. It's fully loaded with the six cylinder . We love it. It's our first Subaru and it has very low mileage. We are the second owners.

      I'm glad you're having a great experience! We are on our 4th, and still cant find another vehicle that combines reliability, versatility, towing capacity and non SUV looks. No car is perfect, but these have been very good for us. We're actually looking for a slightly used 2023 to move up to. I just wish they had a hybrid model (PHEV) available now. Hopefully in the near future.

      How did you wind up 900 years in the future? 2918? Lol😊

      Clearly 1.21 gigawatts... Subarus are more reliable time machines than hot tubs.

    I have a '19 Outback Touring 3.6r. Bought it new. Haven't had any issues with it. This is my 3rd Subaru and 2nd Outback. I upgraded the outward appearance with Body Side Molding, 2 " Curt Trailer hitch. Weathertech Mud Flaps, Clear Plastic Paint Protection Film on bumper, grille and half hood, Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires, Colgan car bra.. Inside upgrades are Weathertech floor liners, Carbon Fiber appearance Dash Mat and a Valentine 1 detector. Definitely a Cool Car. Love all the Electronic Safety features. Black Silica Metallic with Saddle Brown Leather Interior. ❤

      You certainly added a lot of special items! I had become quite tired of silver about 20 yrs ago, but now it's starting to look really sharp again! We also put those all weather Michelin tires on my mother-in-law's civic (see other review) as they're supposed to be 90% of a snow tire but useable all year. How do you like them?

      @@CoolcarCrapcar My wife drives the Outback more than I. She says the car has excellent grip and much quieter the the OEM Bridgestones.

    Definitely would not recommend stressing out a CVT by TOWING. Owned 1 CVT vehicle, loved the car hated the CVT. one of the reasons I bought my K5, a real 8 speed automatic transmission.

      Good point. We don’t pull anything other than our boat to the launch in spring and out in fall; about 5km each way. Nice to know it is rated for 3000lbs though if we need to take it further.

    Very entertaining and I learned a ton! Speaking of the VW Beetle, it would be fun to see one reviewed on the show someday. I’ve always been curious about the Beetle (but I suspect it might not get many ice cream trucks.)

    I have the 2018 3.6r. To do donuts, you need to turn off the stability control and you'll be surprise the donuts you can do. Maybe the 3.6 got more oomph for donuts but I had 2011 4 cyl cutback and did donuts by turning off the stability control as well.

    • @CoolcarCrapcar

      I'll have to try that. I know I can certainly dig into snow and ice with the traction control off.

    I live in Winnipeg I bought a 2018 3.6 R and I love it. I pulled the trailer a little bit more for a gas but not much good on highway that’s not the sports car but does the job well good job guys appreciate a lot.

    • @CoolcarCrapcar
      @CoolcarCrapcar  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ive actually never driven anything but a regular 2.5. I like the idea of more power, but also like more gas mileage! I think I'll try and source a turbo model next as the 3.6 was dropped. Glad you like the vehicle; (and the review) it's definitely a Swiss army knife!

      @@CoolcarCrapcar I think four cylinder turbo it’s OK but we live in Winnipeg where is kind of cold and V6 I got a power almost immediately with the turbo you gotta be careful. Thank you very much for replying and trust me. I won’t buy a different car than Subaru safety, real ability and first of all practicality of that is incredibl I order with the hitch and all electrical stuff that was easier to install it wiring for brakes in the trailer and it works perfectly CV transmission so far so good I like how the works give me enough power for passing on the highway I think it’s a good car one more thing I have a studded tires for my car and the winter I am unstoppable

    I think you mean Subaru Crosstrek uses the Subaru Impreza frame

    • @CoolcarCrapcar
      @CoolcarCrapcar  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi. Thanks for the feedback. From what I've researched the Forester , Impreza and Crosstrek are all on similar platform (with 103" wheelbase) where the Outback and Legacy are on a larger one. +4" longer) Before the Subaru Global Platform came out, they were totally different chassis's and by using the SGP, they all have some parts the same with the Forester, Crosstrek and Impreza being on one variant and the Outback and Legacy on another. Let me know if I'm mistaken, its happened before! (Just ask my wife!)

    loved old outback with manual box, since they switched to CVT by ditching manual, and styled entire vehicle Toyota SUV alike, I lost my interest😅

    • @CoolcarCrapcar
      @CoolcarCrapcar  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I totally agree with you. The CVT is suspect. The last year they had a manual box in the States was 2015, whereas the Canadian market had them til 2017.

      I believe every Subaru enthusiast have lost his/her interest thanks to the CVT. Even a 6 speed auto would've made the trick.

    • @mgb269
      @mgb269 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agreed. Nissan has already gone away from CVTs. I guess no one really cares since we're all switching to EVs which have no transmissions.(or maybe two gears on higher end ones)

      My family had not one, but two pinto station wagons! The orange one even had the fake woody look along the side! I hope our Subaru is not the modern equivalent!! That would be crappy…
