Wish I hadn't wasted 'money' on the clubs that make no difference. Level 41 now so trying to get into the Pro and Legendary specs. I am in love with this game. To be able to casually play Augusta, even in a game, has been a dream for years and years.
I went from thinking the game was trash to thinking it may be the best golf game ever made. So many areas of improvement though and it'd be perfect. 1. Worst. Character. Customization. Ever.
Never really understood why people use this as a negative. Obviously just my opinion, but I buy a golf game for the golf. Not customizing an avatar. Can it be a plus? Sure. But idk if the dude is a Minecraft block character otherwise
Just an awesome game, quite frankly bests 2K in nearly every way. Visuals are stunning, like you're really on the course. I felt 2k swing mechanics were way too fast when playing after playing this. Once they make a few changes like adding replays, cup physics changes, maybe adding a little more left and right hitting on drives (ball goes a bit too straight as it is) ...and more distance penalty out of rough and bunkers. Ryan's crazy in depth tutorials as usual. One question, is that masters bag for sale in the store, I must have missed it. I only have the black default bag.
I am loving this game as well! Such a fun game! So the Masters bag is part of the deluxe edition I believe, not sure if it can be purchases separately though.
I have a Pro Pass category. I don't have a rewards category at the top of my menu. Also, the top right little rectangle isn't working. The icon is just constantly spinning.
This is really nice! One area that confuses me is that there are so many currencies, not only specs but XP, SP, coins, tickets. I don't understand what the differences are, how you get each and what they do? Also I completed some challenges now I have these floating hexagonal things on my challenge screen. Don't know what those are. PGA 2k23 the only way to "level up" is to upgrade your clubs with fittings. Would specs be kind of the same thing as fittings? EA seems like a deeper way to upgrade but 2k23 once I figured it out was simpler.
I was looking into specs for my clubs and ball and remembered you did this video. I came back to see what you said about such specs and which ones to add to the specific clubs. Thanks for the tips and keep the advice coming; well recieved
That card you're showing at 3:13. Is that personalized for your player? For instance how do we know it adds 85 accuracy or makes the accuracy 85? 58 control seems low. It's really not clear how that could boost the player ratings to 58 and 85. Unless they're for your player, bringing YOU to those numbers, but other players might be different. I'm really not sure are these the things that increase your player's ratings? Do players have OVR and ratings categories? Then at 6:40 shows something different with arrows that seem to show an INCREASE in specs.
Hey Ryan, I really like your videos but I have a question. Is there a setting where when you're playing a friend that you have alternating shots where you can see each other's player instead of the blue tracer or the yellow tracer and then send them on the green.?
Put hybrids in the bag ….they fly higher and they land softer …put a 3 and 5 hybrid in the bag. Also put a 62 or 64 degree lob wedge …great of you have to hit a high shot as many greens at Augusta specially have raised greens. I just wish they would leave our own current specs side by side to compare before we purchase the spec. Get the irons the first …why …because you actually hit more irons in a round then any other clubs bar putter ….now …WHY is there no specs in the putter ? Loft in driving …loft is your friend…the higher the ball goes the further it goes …people think the lower lofted drives go further …they don’t Maybe on the links at the OPEN course is one exception where roll is huge . . That would be my one exception. Put a 48 degree wedge in….hybrids are great …put two minimum in your bag. I wish we would design our bags like car games - liverie bags
Hey buddy keep up the great videos but I have a question I noticed your screen has an mode it says competitive my game on PS5 does not show that mode competitive do you know why it doesn't show that mode I got the standard edition of the game on PS5 and I'm wondering why my game does have that mode
Hey Derek! So they actually ended up combining the online into one mode, so it no longer has the competitive tab. It used to be separated into social and competitive, but now it is all in just the one online tab.
How did you get that gorgeous golf bag? I’m contemplating grinding the Titleist and maybe Taylormade bags from the sponsor challenges but that one you have is SO nice.
So I have noticed that the ball specs seem to have less of an affect when compared to the club specs ones overall. In theory you would think yes on this, but at least for now it seems the club specs have a much greater affect on the course. A legendary ball spec with a lot of control is what I do prefer, but without a legendary club spec hitting the ball the affect is not very great on the spin of the ball.

Need some clarification regarding Specs and how/where they are applied. My main focus in on the Accuracy and Control specs . Accuracy I understand is narrowing the shot effect circle. Control is what? In your tutorial you point to the Hideki wedge spec. Those only apply to wedges correct? Can the Legendary specs for Ball Accuracy or Control can be applied for every club? Thanks
So control gives you more natural backspin on each shot and allows you to add more loft, deloft, draw, and fade as well. I love having a high control stat for the extra spin. So yes you can apply the hideki wedge spec to all your wedges, not just one, same thing for all specs. So the hideki wedge and iron legendary specs are amazing for control and accuracy!
Question what's the best way to play the game if I'm new to ea sports PGA tour games I really never played old tiger's games maybe a few times I got one of those games on Xbox 360 I can't remember what year it is but anyways what's the fastest way to go through the season and level up fast arcade mode the line they got for the game is not good 2k was better put line when you use easy difficulty let me know I appreciate it thanks for good videos

Yeah you can still use Nelly Korda's golf ball spec if your player is a man. There are no restrictions on any of the club or ball specs. Hope this helps!
I absolutely love this game, much better than the 2k ones. I was hoping to see how and where u unlock new bags. I have seen a few really cool bags but when I go to the shop, the ones in there are hideous!!! Even most of the clothes are hideous. I have to make do with either the basic black bag or a pink one, neither of which I want to use. Green and white ones are the ones I really want. I have tried looking at challenges rewards but I am not seeing anything worthwhile. I hope someone reads this and can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance
Ye i noticed you got 2 free entry's to the Masters in seasonal tournament but its on Simulation difficulty. I swear those greens almost impossible for me to read 🤣
Question - so I've started playing the tournaments to make some free points. Now that I'm pretty decent at the game. I'm wondering about those ones that cost say 1000 points or 5 tickets etc 🎟 Is it a one time payment of 1000 for unlimited entry's / 5 tickets for unlimited entry's. Or is it 1000 per entry / 5 tickets per entry each time you wanna replay for a better score do I have to splash out over and over again?
So it is 1000 per entry / 5 tickets per entry each time you want to play it. So each entry fee for the tournaments only includes that specific round, and even if you quit out of the round you still lose your entry fee.
How do you unlock new golf balls? I've been playing for months and still stuck with the EA Sports ball. Completed many challenges and I've never seen a ball on the store.
I use them myself and love them. But keep in mind all the different club brands and cosmetic items are cosmetic only and do not change the stats/attributes. The only way to change and improve the club stats/attributes is by equipping club specs on each club
First golf game I’ve played since GameCube, started about a week ago and I’m addicted feel like there’s so much room for improvement in my game! but at the same time I’m still competing. Amazing gameplay and shit user interface
So I would highly recommend both the hideki iron legend spec and also the hideki wedge legend spec! They are so good! The hideki wedge legendary spec is actually in the shop right now, and the iron might be back soon. I also love hybrids and use the Hideki Hyrbid legend spec as well. I use a legendary power spec for my driver. Now I would not invest in the golf ball spec til last, because they seem to have less of an affect. Hope this helps!

But the best way is by playing the free arcade daily tournament each day and playing a few of the weekly tournaments each week.
Howdy! Back again after playing numerous rounds including the Masters. Next, is the US Open. Until then... => Here's my question: I have the Jordan Spieth driver specs. Holding out to see the Hideki Matsuyama iron specs reappear in the store {Tapping my foot, day after day, but it's not appeared...wide grin}. Is there any logic to when an item will reappear? ~ Much Thanks ~
Is there a Legendary Iron Accuracy spec? Haven't seen one yet but I think I'll almost have to get something like that for some of these more ridiculous challenges. "Land all 15 shots within 5 feet". Fuck off.

So I am rocking the Hideki Legendary spec on hybrids, irons, and wedges. Then for Driver I am using the legendary power spec. So at the beginning of my career mode tournament this week (RBC Heritage Round 1) I actually show my golf bag if you wanted to see it.

EA what have you done!? I pre ordered the game and yes it had a lot off faults but then your updates made it worse. The next upgrade still didn’t fix all the problems either. Then the recent fix still hasn’t fixed the bugs, especially the challenges. Last but not least you have not thought about us ladies who play the game, we don’t all wear short skirts and shorts! Where is our trouser collection. And why are there no female caddies? You really haven’t thought this one out. It just seems too me that you have done this beautiful game no credit. You know i bought the PING driver in hopes it would sound different like in 2k, but sadly, it doesn't. I dropped $100 day 1 to buy things, and i can't buy things. i thought i could, lol
I hate these videos because you can't find a text guide where you can easily ctrl-f and find what you're looking for instead the gamefaqs page for this game is empty and you're forced to sift through some stupid youtube video and have to listen to some goof ramble and hope he's talking about the thing you're looking for 0/10

Appreciate you! So unfortunately they do not have a turn order settings for multiplayer in EA Sports PGA Tour yet. Hopefully they add that soon!

Thanks for this!! But how can I change my Pitching Wedge loft? I can only choose 130?
So you cannot change the degrees of the pitching wedge. But you can swap it out for another wedge.

so if you add a spec to say the driver and already have one allocated to it, does it over ride or add onto it?
So you can only have one spec for each club. So if you add a new one to the driver it overrides it and does not stack.

Yeah same here! And this also gets rid of any pay to win mechanics because you cannot buy club specs but you can buy the different club cosmetics.
I like that however it would be very nice to be able to earn clubs with specs through sponsors, tournaments and challenges

So select the golf ball in the golf bag menu and it should be the first menu that pops up.

Yes the different club brands are cosmetic only, the club specs can be used to improve any club in the game.

Yeah they constantly are changing in the store, but they will all rotate in eventually just might take some time.

So I am rocking the Hideki Legendary spec on hybrids, irons, and wedges. Then for Driver I am using the legendary power spec. So at the beginning of my career mode tournament this week (RBC Heritage Round 1) I actually show my golf bag if you wanted to see it.

So the gold driver power spec will randomly rotate in the store. It is not always in there.

EA what have you done!? I pre ordered the game and yes it had a lot off faults but then your updates made it worse. The next upgrade still didn’t fix all the problems either. Then the recent fix still hasn’t fixed the bugs, especially the challenges. Last but not least you have not thought about us ladies who play the game, we don’t all wear short skirts and shorts! Where is our trouser collection. And why are there no female caddies? You really haven’t thought this one out. It just seems too me that you have done this beautiful game no credit. Is there no women at EA? Come on guys buck up
You know i bought the PING driver in hopes it would sound different like in 2k, but sadly, it doesn't. I dropped $100 day 1 to buy things, and i can't buy things. i thought i could, lol
