Another great tip is to check the map for a target's status. If they are on alert (bell icon), merchants will run a zigzag course to evade torpedoes, and warships will search/attack targets. While merchants are alerted they are far harder to hit, so try waiting in hiding until they calm down, or use a T5 torpedo. T5 torpedoes are wake-homing, so they will follow the loudest sound they can find. That's usually the fastest vehicle in range, but not always the target you selected. Also, explosions and depth charges might mess with their homing

Perhaps some more details on how much the crew will do unsupervised, managing sleep time and when it's worth giving officers extra crew, for example? If you don't feel like it, completely understand. I was hit by something when i played the game an hour ago, maybe a torpedo, and it blew about 7 holes in the sub. I couldn't assign everybody fast enough to fix them, so they all drowned eventually...

Do you, or anyone else here, have any tips on crew discipline? It seems to drop so quickly. Also, I am getting constant FPS drops, quite a broad question because each PC is different but any tips on settings I could try? Thanks again. o7
If it tells you there's too much work from Officers, deselect a couple of those boxes next to your officers if they're being assisted when they don't need to be. Also, the lighting makes a difference. Sometimes using white lights decreases crew discipline like in times when you should be silent or if it's night time and red lights should be on instead. I experimented with it being I was in the Navy for five years and wanted to see just how accurate it was. Turns out these devs put a lot of thought into this game and I love it, I just haven't quite understood how to use the measurements of enemy ships to my advantage yet. I don't know how to apply them properly.
