Ya in 93 Montreal set a record with 10 overtime wins in the playoffs on the way to winning the Stanley cup it still stings to this day but 2012 and 2014 kings cups helped me heal greatly haha GKG

It would seemingly be a mistake to a) leave Clarke to sit in the AHL again b) trade Spence just to keep Roy. I do like Matt Roy, he’s been very solid defensively, and added offense at times, but the young guys have to be given the banner to carry. Solidifying the forward group would probably be a better use of the extra cap space available.
Clarke absolutely needs play. He will help the power play and team speed.

Congrats to Florida for winning the cup. Oilers did gain my respect for making the Finals and pushing cats to game 7. Mcdavid is truly the best player in nhl.
I think people are really underestimating what losing Roy will be to the blueline with all do respect to both Spence and Clarke niether they nor anyone else on the blueline can replace what Roy brings and truly elite shut down defensmen aren't readily available, Roy is an elite shut down D who still can grab 25pts a season, 200blks and 150 hits and what really brings me concern is Clarke's defensive acumen or lack there of while that has improved I'm worried he'll be another Tyson Barrie great offense absent defense

I hope the kings don't resign roy and let him go i think they should have traded him at last season trade deadline tbh
I probably would have respected Blake more if he came out and said that he's going to rely on the youth to step up and take the open positions. Instead he overpays for low level talent which wasn't much of an upgrade from Lizzotte and then resigns Grandpa Lewis.

Hate to agree but do. Ya, bring up Fagemo and his line mate Tynan. Fagemo scored all those goals (43) mostly off assists (57) from Tynan. Clarke and Thomas as well. Baptism by fire. Let’s see what they’ve got. What’s the worst that could happen?
@@CXK13 the worst that happens is there is a rough year where they miss the playoffs and draft high. I do think they have the foundation to return in a year if that happens.

Everyone seems to forget that he also was the guy who gave the horrible cheap shot to Alex Turcotte and caused a brutal concussion while in the AHL.
He's literally the only guy who can protect on the team and did a great job doing it. He also was very solid for that type of player. Who's going to look after the kid? He's small, weak, and not physical in any way. Foolish... ask the players if they want England in the lineup.
I thought he played pretty well, actually.
He is weak defensively but will learn, but he is also simply weak and needs to gain mass and I am sure everyone is aware of that
Spence is a more offensive defenseman.
