It's a rare thing when we get to review cars like the Prodrive P25, but we sure are glad when we do. Check out our first, and only, since this is a bespoke special order, handmade car of the P25 from Prodrive, the racing company that built out all of Subaru's World Rally Championship cars in the 1990s. This one pays homage to the famous 22b Impreza STi. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
The last place i thought i would see this car. Great job KBB!
Looks like you had a blast Lynn! Shoot I'd be happy with the WRX version lol
Love that body style, 2dr coupe. Perfect size, too! The rear windshield wiper is a classic feature that I definitely miss.😢
David Higgins! What a perfect driver for the car.
They could call that new WRX package.. The P24 You're welcome, Subaru lol
Beautiful car! I always enjoy these videos so much. Is Lyn wearing a Tissot PRX for her WRX review? haha.
that's the real deal
Great job, Lynne! Great job, Subaru!!
Wow what a great report! I would have loved to see under the hoods/bonnet!
Great video!
That’s so cool! This reminds me of a Doug demuro review 😅
The new WRX fender flares look great. Love how all the creases are smoothed.
Not that I can even remotely come closer to owning one but does the P25 qualify as an older than 25 y/o vehicle for import to the USA?
@@dude...are-you-sure I doubt it unfortunately unless there is something wonky with how they do the VIN and build date aspects.
@@ALMX5DP unless p25 were build brand new from ground up, I'm thinking each p25 started out as a 1992 inprezza? And if that's the case they would be over 30 years old and would qualify for importation into the USA.
@@dude...are-you-sure oh yeah I just saw I think you’re right. One of the initial sites suggested it was a new build but I saw after they are indeed built of original STI chassis so they may keep their VIN and such. So yeah essentially a brand new build of a 25+ old car that should be able to be imported.
@@dude...are-you-surethey are built from 2 door shells, mostly Type R ones (maybe P1s also) so they will range from 1997 to 2000 model years.
YES SOA please realese the Prodrive WRX
Right Hand Drive only? British company?
That'd be the best daily for where I live.. epic car 👌
damn, this suspension seems so rigid but at the same time so stable
Will it still have head gasket issues?
So cool to have gotten to ride shot gun with David Higgins!
The new Subaru WRX just doesn't look as awesome as the old one, I'm a Subaru fan for more than 25 years since I was a child.
Did they build the P25 from the ground up? Or revise an old Impreza/WRX?
I want to know that too
They are all based on old road cars fully strip, restored and very heavily modified.
@@benoitbourdaire4194 amazing people wiling to pay half a million for a impreza lol
@hassyg4083 you have no idea the amount of R&D, work hours, parts etc in the car. The lights alone were months of work
@@benoitbourdaire4194 R&D? they have been building rally Subarus for decades, i doubt and R&D cost into this car
Usual fine job by Lynn and the KBB folks. My question is how did folks manage to already purchase the 25 limited edition cars that haven't even been built yet? Is there some sort of news outlet on the Dark Web that people subscribe to that lets them know these uber rare and expensive, limited edition cars (whether it be Ferrari, Porsche, Subaru, etc) are coming out?
Think Prodrive advertised it on their website. It would have only been die-hard Prodrive followers who had the early heads up. I (like everyone else) never even heard of the P25 until they were already sold out. 😬
is it straight cut ?
Helical
Pura belleza... 😎
Wow😮 humongous ✅
Now we need restomod evo gr A
Wow. David Higgins
Oh no big deal we just got the legend David Higgins, aptly named Pro to drive the P25. Just another Day in the life.
The 22B is very desirable, arguably more than the "Bugeye" WRX. So even stock, it's not going to be cheap.
I don’t think anyone would argue that a bugeye is more desire able than the ultra rare 22B.
Bugeye 🤮
Arguably? The 22B is the closest Subaru ever got to selling one of the most iconic WRC cars of all time to the public. Most Subaru rally fans regard it as the most beautiful Subaru ever built. Only 424 22Bs ever rolled off Subaru's factory floor, and 400 of those were built for the Japanese market. In my opinion, the 2002-2003 "bugeye" Impreza is the ugliest Subaru of all time. There isn't a sane man on earth who would rather have a bugeye STI than a genuine, all-original 22B STI.
@@SteelyEyedMissileDan 22b just got the wrc bodyshell and 2.2. rest of car is just basic
@@ALMX5DP that is where you're wrong, I will sell you my bug for $500+k
That’s a beauty
The p25 looks better than the 2023
This should have a manual stick optiin
daaaang rocket ship is right
500k is a bit steep though.
For 500K you get: Vehicle and 1L Motul 0w40 to add in 3kkm :)
No ABS 😢
Let the public buy the new one from prodrive. Everyone who wanted an sti would buy one. Subaru betrayed us 😔
Are these new production bodies, or have Prodrive hacked up 90s Suby bodies? 😂
Should have had a stick shift
No it shouldn't. The fly by wire WRC style launch control and especially ProDrive's proprietary anti-lag system wouldn't work.
Besides, most "manual purists" I know can't even time pedals movements properly, overrev on upshifts, can't even heel and toe to rev match if their lives depended on it.
I would pay it all day long if I had the money 😢
Subaru please fuck the current design and adapt this 90s design
Please 🙏
Holy smokes 😂😂
"A normal person could buy one (22B) and make the same mods themselves."
No. No we can't. That is an ignorant and downright laughable statement. Prodrive wouldn't be able to charge half a mil for a 90s Impreza if _anybody_ could do it. And it's got nothing to do with how much it would cost.
t should be manual.
its not worth 500k but nice car
500k for a car with cheap ebay headlights lol
Remind me again why did Subaru quit rallying? Crap decision.
Imagine paying $500k for a Subaru 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I can imagine, but if I had the money I’d also make that imagination a reality for such an iconic vehucle.
2030:
Imagine paying 1m for a Subaru😂😂😂😂
People have their own taste. If someone want buy this car, well not problem
So what? 😁😁😁
I'm doing it
Кто пустил бабу за руль? Ненавижу бабские обзоры, одна болтовня! Где заезды жесткие?
I hate how my brain keeps justifying the price 😅 It's a lovely car and with all the money in the world why not get a tastefully modified restored masterpiece by a reputable company, it's PERFECT 🤤🤤 and I don't care what anyone says, *you can* achieve 80% of this with your own build but at the end of the day you're not Prodrive 😂
