Average Sea of Thieves completionist
As a Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves, I feel you pain.

Rock into hourglass with the legendary/cherished hunter of the sea of thieves title, a default sloop and then maybe a Fates of Fortune or Hunter's call figure head with the sunken coral cannons (yes the ones that take up 90% of the screen)- and most opponents will sail away or scuttle on sight.
No one wants the second hand psychological trauma of dealing with that. Ghost & Skelly curse easy to get after you've fully specced in psychological warfare (even if it is mostly on your self)
lol so true i feel ya!! Ive sank years into gettin comms completed in sot, im finally at the stage where from bilge rats & tall tales all the way through to athena all i need is 25 yellow megs, 15 red megs(4 shroudeds) & the 1000 miles sailed for 2 pvp factions. Im lvl 1000+ in both pvp factions with 100% achievements & bout 280 days played. All i do now is pvp & keep eye out for the megs i need but its been the craziest grind ever......long hours wit da boys!!👍Good luck bro.

Every time I’ve said “I’M DONE WITH THIS GAME!” It’s right there front and center as soon the screen comes on, and I know that cheeky little skull is just laughing at me! So I decide that it can’t win! Somehow it keeps laughing at me! 😑
This month I sold my 300 Barnacle Chests and fired up the final Skeleton Ship with the Ashen Skull. I was fine with most of my sets for the 3. Brig and 3. Gally. But also I'm buying and immediatly deleting Order of Souls voyages to unlock that Eye of Reach. I will use it, it's a cool Sniper Rifle, but Rare is asking for so many voyages...
Also looking forward to the milestone nerf. Catching 100 fishes of each type AGAIN to unlock lvl1 is just silly.
Just 8 more chest of fortunes, shrouded ghost kills, and all the hourglass crap.. then I can rest.. until more comes out
The feeling of founding a key in Sailor's Bounty to a vault in Kraken's Fall, and I have to open 100 of these, and I'm still doing it! It was never about the gold, it's about commendations.
Way I did the keys, was immediately start another vault voyage, and unlock any vaults I had the keys for after stacking like, 5 keys, or when I naturally came by the destination island
I'm doing that, but so unlucky, most of the keys I stack leads to the other side of the map. But I keep grinding.

Commendations are terrible I totally agree.
But it is possible to 100% those (with the exception to the shrouded which I have stopped caring about).
What is not possible to complete anymore is the fucking achievements. Impossible to get 100% because of the legacy Arena ones. Its fine for steam users, they don't see them. But on xbox? I'll always see those achievements that I only half completed and that are now unfinishable. Why didn't they get removed, or hidden at least for folks that haven't completed them?
Completetionist's nightmare, bloody hell.
Imagine getting all those commendation before captaincy and being told to do it again 😭
I gave up any sense of completion a long time ago. If it doesn't unlock an aesthetic then im not going to bother grinding it.
They are making those difficult ones easier with each update, for example i thought that commendation for selling stolen chests of rage would take me years to get since finding someone with this chest was impossible but rare introduced cursed chests voyage and today i completed it. Let's hope they do something about gifts since finding those and people who can communicate is already difficult.
just now looking into doing some things in my offtime while i don't normally paly the game, played since week 1 and just now finished delivering 50 wood crates on time, i decided to server hop and loot the outpost till i got the mission for it, took about 2 weeks of doing a little a night like 30minutes to get my last 10 of those. on my usual play days i have just recently finished doing my oos 250 mission complete, the real godsend is captain voyages allow you to purchase level 25 trash missions that ake no time at all to complete. i did ghost fleet missions at lvl 25, kill 5 or 6 ships then last round appears and maybe 10 shots on the main ship which teher is only 1 that has 2 escorts, and it is also completed, also, if you time it right with dropping the mission, you might luck out and get the same island you area laready at, otherwise if you travel to old faithful or marauders arch, you migth get into a loop where it takes you back and forth which is a time savor, slowly working on other stuff at the moment so wonder what i might start up next, maybe deliver 10 golden animals a day for the commendation under athena for that, who knows.
Yes i feel this pain, but it made it worse when they added captained ships where you have to do all of it over again

now its time to tackle the pvp commendations.
Yeah season 8 really hit me with at least another thousand hours
im a completionist who finished the game in season 7. I will never waste my life on this game again

100% achievements in most games now a days require hundreds of hours. Im currently working on OOS voyages myself. but sometimes I realize that I will never do the PvP commendations , so what's the point?

The pain! They promised to sell it ... at least thats what I understood from their attempts at human communication... So why is the alliance disbanded and no gift has been sold!? Why are they lying to me!? AAAA
