Not exactly sure what your are suggesting, but, when the Alarm function activates, Alm+ and Alm- are not shorted, the pass Vcc and Grnd - Vcc to Alm+ and Grnd to Alm-

So if the servo driver on alarm close ALM+ with ALM-... you could direct connect it to free limit you have empty Z+
