Xabi is a bigger formation change whereas Amorim slots in close to what he already wants to play. If the price is right I see Amorim being a better choice but I also still see Nagelsmann being considered as it won't require a fee to hire him on.

Doesn't shock me at all, I've said from the start of the links to all the managers that I'd love Amorim. Seeing his style and play for 3 years since his Braga side played arsenal I've been well impressed with him and how he's progressing at Lisbon.

I dont get our underdog role, it starts to be annoying, first Bellingham is too expensive, but then your willing to spend over 110 for Caicedo. Its Impossible to replace Klopp, bur Alonso ticks all the boxes and I have the feeling we dont even really try
Bellingham was too expensive before we sold some of our players such as Fabinho and Henderson. After that the Bellingham to Madrid transfer was confirmed.
Every club except maybe City is an underdog compared to Real Madrid.
In terms of Xabi he is staying at Leverkusen and while I'm sad I can see his logic. Leverkusen is his first year as a manager at the top levels and he just built a project there. It's not him rejecting us, he's trying to not rush head first and end up Gerrard and Lampard
Regarding the managerial situation. Replacing Klopp will be a mountain of a task but going back in history remember what happened when Paisley replaced the irreplaceable Shankly. Could we dream of a similar development

Amorim is the way better option & always personally been my 1st choice. Bringing amorim means more Portuguese league talents and also someone who want to stay for long term and not dream of Real Madrid. Portugal have more prodigies at cheap fee like diomande ignacio joao neves antonio silva than alonso would bring those hincapie wirtz tah frimpong at higher price. Wirtz alone will cost at least 2 or 3 young talents from portugal eating up all the budget of liverpool and having to sell at least 1 key player + other squad players

Torres and Suarez never won anything with Liverpool. Owen was the best player in 2001 when we won five trophies in one calendar year. Owen was also home grown. Just cause he played for Utd later on when he was too damaged to play full matches does not mean that we should scrape all his history with us. Suarez did not behave that well to get his release to Barcelona and he emberassed the side many times with his biting and long tongue.

Fowler all round was a better footballer and a more natural goalscorer. Owen definitely was a pace merchant thats why when he lost his pace he was never the same, but admittedly in his first few years at Liverpool he was unplayable and was one of the best strikers on the planet.

Just can’t get my head around why there is such a following for Amorim, I could understand anyone saying De Zerbi, Nagelesmann, Emery, Postecoglou or even Lijnders. But for the life of me, what has this guy done that warrants him getting the Liverpool job. He won a league title in the Portugal, they are ranked 7th in European leagues. I think we should look from the Bayer Liverkusen and Alonso perspective. For Alonso the club that gave him the chance to start his managerial career in a perfect way are Bayer so it would be very disrespectful if xavi decided to stop in the middle of the job he's been creating to go to another project eventually he's gonna leave but in year is a bad way there are other challenges for his club including UCL and confirming it in the big stage then let's put ourselves on xabi place not liverpool fans who wouldn't care about him still coaching Liverkusen and would just their club to be successful for Alonso no need to rush there is plenty of job and the Real Madrid project is bigger and more assuring than the liverpool one the limited budget, the future of big names like Salah Vvd or Trent not guaranteed while at Madrid he's in his country, a former club as well and his disposal will be the biggest talents in the world Vini, Rodrygo, endrick, Bellingham.

Fowler vs Owen - Owen was an international sensation as a teenager (we cannot deny that - a generational talent -a Ballon D'or winner). Fowler is an absolute Liverpool legend. His finishing and inclination to the club can only be matched by people like SG08, King Kenny, etc. I will take Fowler every day but I cannot make a direct comparison. We must not forget what the joy and wonderful times Owen has given us. That is the Owen I will always remember. Thank You Mr Fowler and Mr Owen.
