Since the FA Cup disappointment is when our season went off the rails and the club doesn’t know how to build that momentum back up.
Klopp is a Liverpool legend, always will be, but he has timed his exit very well as next season would have seen us regress considerably.

What an ugly end to Klopp's time at Liverpool. On the one hand you've been in a title race so he's not leaving the club in an awful state by any means. But on the other hand the time of players like Salah and VVD is almost over, jury still out on a huge money signing in Nunez, defence needing a lot of work. Liverpool have been very good in the transfer market for years and getting good value but I don't think that's going to be enough in the post Klopp era. Can see the club returning to a top 4 type of team again in the immediate future rather than genuine title contenders like they have been for a while now

"If we score 2 goals away from home, we should be winning" - then don't blame the attack every time. Yes, they miss chances but that's less of a problem than Klopp's inability over seasons to fix us getting turned over 20 times a game and our defense playing in such a relaxed manner with VVD heading that show.

Klopp's pre mature announcement of departure is the root of Liverpool downfall. If a coach is tired and exhausted, how can coach demands his players give 100% efforts? Players are tired too. If coach gets paid millions of dollars, the coach should be able to find solution to motivate players. Head coach of Liverpool failed miserably on that part. It has been way too many times Liverpool started slowly. Today's game is no exception. Liverpool fell behind once again. It is so disappointing. Liverpool and KLOPP should be better than this.
As much as I love Klopp for turning us into believers again, I agree that he should have walked the moment he announced he was going. Let Pep take over for the rest of the season. If he made a good go of it we could have seen if he was suitable to take the role full time. And in the meantime we could have still prepared to find a new manager if it was always understood PL was only caretaker or manager on probation. Totally agree if Klopp states he’s no more energy then how can he demand more energy from his players?

Main problem in the team has always been our defence. In 23 games we conceded an early goal . we only scored one goal as Gakpo shot was poor & completely off target and deflected into the goal.
McAlister and Gravenberch played well Gakpo done and worked hard but is not a central striksr, but that's not his fault.

We became a bookies team instead of a champion team. Most of the players are not playing to win because they're afraid to be injured.
Trying to take a deeper dive into what's happened. Correlation is the following players being woefully out of form: Trent, VVD, Robertson, jones barring a good month or 2, and salah and Diaz. Outside of that, you've got players who've barely had consistent runs or are new signings.
We don't know the real reason Klopp left....something has changed for him to want to go....

Even before the Liverpool meltdown, many had already notice a few players namely Salah, Diaz and Nunez, clearly not having any interest or motivation to play. These three players know they would leave at the end of the season. Of course money is the factor and nobody can blame them for going to a club that can or will pay them twice or three times what Liverpool pays. Liverpool cannot match these higher salaries as they have a very structured wage policy. Thats why Liverpool mostly report a profit as compared to many premier league top teams. Even Trent, VVD or even Allison could leave on the same reason. The fans just hope that Liverpool can receive a big sum of money in selling these players. This money should then be allocated to the new manager for him to sign top top players. YNWA!!

while Quansa was good most of the season, if he has these mistakes hardwired in him, he will never be a proper CB. The players doing this to Klopp shows their immature character. I've said a year ago the defense is to blame with EASY errors. Cause these mistakes take the air out of the attack as well. Well, Klopp has been naive with trying to burn bridges after we've already thrown away all the trophies. He's going anyway, so why drop Salah and make a meal of it? 50% of them don't care anymore and gave up the fight long ago, the rest are mostly trying but not good enough, and just the few like Alisson who's probably wondering what he's still doing here.
With 4 games to go and needing to win every one of those games, what was benching Salah supposed to do or prove? Make him hungry for the last 2 games or something? As off form as he’s been, only game time will get him to find his form again. Ok sub him off at 60 mins if he’s still stinking but how many times has he rescued a game for us with a goal this season? Having said that he should still respect the managers position, but this to me is a sign that the players aren’t playing for him anymore coz his fire has gone out.

Its been months the team starts game very poorly and we are always coming from behind once again down to the gaffer to set up his team better hes too tiered to do the job properly thats why hes leaving
Salah may have dropped off, but a lot of our team are not good enough for a title winning team. Fans just don't want to accept it. Arsenal and City will pick at least 7 players over any of ours in a 11, and rightly so. There is no positivity, and the club is throwing away multiple seasons by not spending the money. 1 50M+ signing would've won us another CL and PL few years ago, and we would have recouped the money from the title wins. But the club is led by extremely conservative short sighted bums.

Am I the only one that thinks it's time for Klopp to go? I'm grateful for those 3 seasons where we were arguably the best team in the world. But it's been painfully obvious that our setup/tactics haven't been working for at least 18 months. You can't routinely have 70 % possession yet concede at least 5 clear cut chances per game. We don't move the ball fast enough and play too many sideways or backwards passes. Which I feel has happened since Pep Ljinders got involved. I don't agree that the defence is the problem it's the way that the team is set up. I'm really excited for Slot to come in as I think we desperately need to change. Replace Salah, Thiago and Matip in the summer window and let Slot decide what to do with the rest. Maybe I'm wrong but I believe the new manager can improve on Klopp
Our buildup is just sideway passes and end up with a cross. All game same routine.
Agree, everyone focuses on defense or attack individually and yes we need to be more clinical and defense needs to be awake all game. But the tactics are a big culprit here. You can't be around for so long, and season after season not fix the chances we concede. Without Alisson (and Kelleher this season), we'd be midtable given the sheer chances we concede. We create more chances than most teams, perhaps even City and have 70+% possession like you said. But get turned over so easily and look like conceding every time. Interesting call on Pep Ljinders and the timing. I'm concerned about Slot because I heard his play style is similar to Klopp, and I believe we should have a more controlled style than heavy metal. But I don't know much about him.
